Flashtool will do all the lock and unlock process!
Just backup the DRM keys / TA partition first, here's my thread for detailed info.

[Q] Lock back Bootloader for Xperia Go

Is it possible to Lock Bootloader Xperia Go again? Why do we need to unlock Bootloader for Xperia Go if the only one working rom there (zip or FTF) is exactly the same as the Sony stock rom...?

you may want to read this post first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1527159
yes it is possible to relock bootloader for any android but that depends whether it is developed by devs and available yet for that phone. try find out at the development section for your phone model.
unlocking bootloader is required if you want to root, for superuser function, customize app functions and etc, which cannot be done in locked bootloader. you also don't have to unlock bootloader if you only want to upgrade your phone or change your stock rom to other region stock roms, just flash the file using flashtool. hope this helps

[Q] Downgrading Xperia Advance ST27a

Do I need to unlock the bootloader if I want to downgrade to GB from ICS?
and is there any other way to unlock the bootloader without the official SONY method?

No. The only reason you have to unlock your bootloader is in case you want to install a custom kernel, otherwise there is no reason. O don't know if there is any other way to unblock bootloader except the one from Sony and honestly I think there is no reason.
To downgrade from ics to gbe you have to install flashtool on your pc and download the gb ftf file and flash it.
There is a tutorial on YouTube on how to use flashtool on arc and the way is pretty similar to st27. The only thing you have to do is find on st27 development thread the drivers and the gb Rom. Here is the YouTube tutorial

[Q] Xperia P: Unable to update via PCC

I recently rooted my Xperia P (JB 4.1.2, unlocked bootloader) using the ThP's JB_stock_autoroot.img available here.
Now when I tried to install the updates using PCC, it said that modified software installed and hence cancelled the update. Is it because of the unlocked bootloader or rooting the phone?
Cheers,
Saurav

So now if i wish to relock the bootloader keeping my phone rooted, what steps do i need to follow? I have downloaded the file LT22i_relock_bootloader.ftf which can help me relock the bootloader. Anything else that I should keep in mind before/while/after flashing this file?
Cheers,
Saurav

If i am not wrong you must be on full stock (kernel and rom) and you relock. You can search around as i have not relocked my bl before as i never unlocked it.
I am back. Ignore forum signature 1st line.
You can create the FTF from PCC files

I have flashed the relock file more than once without any problem.
You can root JB .100 with DooMLoRD Easy Rooting Toolkit

From what I know, unlocked bootloader means, X-Reality no longer works and OTA updates will not install.

You can always downgrade to .532 and root from there, then back up the TA, then unlock the bootloader. The TA will allow you to restore the DRM keys and Xreality when you relock the bootloader
Read my guide on downgrading http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593918
and then read lordmanhatton's guide for root etc http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2569904

just use the one kinked in my guide, it has been made for the purpose of downgrading from 290 to 532 and keeping the phone in a functioning state.
You dont need to flash a German ftf when upgrading either, just a generic or CE/EU will do fine unless there are some must have German only Sony app

[Q] C6833 build .681: backup TA needs root, root needs unlock

Hi everyone. I want to backup TA partition, but I have some questions.
My XZU is C6833 model, build number 14.3.A.0.681, KK 4.4.2. Absolutely stock ROM.
As shown here, my phone must be rooted to perform a TA backup.
But as you can see, getting root requires unlocked bootloader... but unlocking bootloader without TA backup will lead to DRM keys loss
There's a similar question for Z1.
Am I right? And what I have to do? Downgrade?
Thanks a lot!
i downgrade mine to 4.2.2 first then use the vroot apps to root my phone without unlock bootloader.

not completly true http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2687848
SOLVED. It's need to downgrade to .532 build via Flashtool, get root, and go back to .681
HOWTO (russian lang).
Without unlocking bootloader.
