Nearly on every custom rom I have used, whatsapp is not working perfectly. My sent messages and messages I received are delivered very late sometimes. I do not use wifi sleep setting when screen is off, wifi is always on. And if there is no wifi, mobile data is on. When I reply a message, then the conversation is ok and occurs real-time. But if I don't touch the phone for a long time, incoming messages are not received instantly. And if I start a conversation my sent messages are not delivered for a long time (again sometimes).

I got that problem with ICS too.
I am using a GB custom ROM now and it works perfectly, no issues in WhatsApp anymore. Try it too!

well thing is im not on ics. im on official jelly bean. i have the EXACT same issue as the guy in the link i posted on the OP.

Hey everyone. Whatsapp keeps force closing on me when I try to share an image from the gallery application. From within whatsapp it's fine. But only while sharing from the gallery application.
I wrote Whatsapp over a week ago and as usual they don't answer. So I'm not sure. I doubt it's the phone because I've tried 3 different ROMs and I've had the same issue with all of the roms. So I don't know what to do. It's not that big of a deal, but it is kind of a bother. Sometimes I just get a black screen and I have to back out completely and just go into whatsapp itself to do it.
Any ideas?

Solved: Whatsapp wrote me back today and the woman pointed me to the updated version they had on their website which totally fixed my issues! Thanks whatsapp hehe.
It works for me just fine...dont know why you have the issue..
infact i never had this issue in the various stock ROM's i have used in the past
I am on whatsapp version 2.7.431
If you are rooted try fix permissions , ROM manager has it... CWM recovery has it..might be few other ways too...
also check the settings in whatsapp, if the system status is showing working OK...
check if it works when you are on wifi...

I'm not rooted, that's the thing. All the roms have been stock (either an updated or not updated OS). Everything else on my phone works except this! It's strange. If I am not rooted can I still check permissions or anything else that you said? I'm also not interested in rooting. Thanks for the help

Hi um trying to open my whatsapp but is just keep on forcing me out.please help
Has anyone successfully used skype video chat on one of the ics roms? I tried it today (ineffabilis rom) and the person on the other end said all they saw was a purple screen where my video should be (I could see my brother fine). I hate to revert back to stock GB for one stupid feature- but it is kinda cool for my kids to be able to see their uncles and aunts on the other side of the world.
Ok- let me rephrase.. Has anyone been successful using *ANY* video chat client on ics??

I believe I did but I can't remember if I was on GB at that time. Anyway PM me if you have ICS loaded and we can run a test.

No but thanks for reminding me to test this out.
I don't think anyone has the feature fixed yet for the ICS roms. It seems that and BT streaming are buggy for alot of people.
Google+ has video chat and it works, I used it today. Im on ics too and had the same problem with skype,but google+ plus worked.
Yea I'm on joelz ics now and this is the first ics rom that I've got video chat working with *anything* (Google talk works). I figure this is good enough for now until a skype update or official ics fixes skype.

Sending is alright, the problem is receive a message. And it started from nowhere today: send a message to my brother, he answered to me but the message never came. Help pls =/

Did You change any settings in the firewall apk?
Yes, but the problem persists.

I had same problem I took battery and sim out for a min or so and then reflashed the rom wipe cache battery stats etc then things were fine!

it was because of the multilingual package. I tried the SMS fix that
was posted a while back, but same
thing happened after a while. The
only solution I found was to flash
the ROM from the beginning and
then restore my apps with titanium.
Only after I saw that everything was OK (including SMS) I flashed the
multilingual file.

Some time ago an mesage appeared to me asking if I wanted to receive a sms... then when i was to click in allow, the time runs out and then i wasn't able to re eive any sms =/ I think it was a firewall thing, but I can't find the option to allow anymore... what do I habe to do?
In some custom roms it is natural to have firewall,
First you search your menu for an app named firewall,maybe you turn it on for your incoming messages.
If it doesn't have any problem,
Another app on your menu named superuser,maybe when the last message apeared that you denied you can fix it there and allow to receive SMS again.

Well, have done what vazelos said and worked the advice thing just appears if your miui rom is in english. So, u have to wait till the advice appears, than allow the receive of sms and after that install the multilanguage pack =D tks for everyone for the help!
I went from a LG P500 to a Xperia S and even tho the battery on this thing is useless i love the phone.
I only got the phone recently and i have ICS 4.0.4 / 6.1.A.2.45 and i had everything working perfectly.
However whatsapp out of the blue stopped sending messages i just get the little clock next to the message and i dont get the two arrows.
So then someone sent me a message and all the messages i had with the clock next to them finaly sent out.
I have reset the phone but whatsapp is refusing to send messages also refuse to get them now also, the weird thing is viber works fine as do the rest of my apps and net works fine.
Any idea of the cause please ?
WhatsApp had/has issues today with the service. They didn't inform anybody about it, but people all around the world are effected. That doesn't mean every user.

One more bug which a lot of Sola users are facing, mostly in ICS update but I have it on GB. After answering a call for 2 or 3 seconds caller can t hear me and so do I... a complete silence for 3 secs.
Is there a possibility to fix this, and can someone explain why is this happening, what makes it freeze for 3 secs...
Hope someone knows the solution.

Its doing it because of the buggy ICS release, i had that too and never found a fix.
yeah but I have GB
I did updated to ICS but since it's USELESS on Sola I downgraded to GB
maybe there is at least some clue where to look... cause GB is not lagging at all, why is this call bug there? Do ICS did this even If I downgraded?
Personally I am satisfied with sola now, I fixed battery issue, back cover issue, and I have root with locked bootloader... the last thing is that call bug... If it's fixed I have a perfect phone for my needs.

try 4shared app... and type the name of the app there. Or search on google
