Xperia Sola bug during call start - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

One more bug which a lot of Sola users are facing, mostly in ICS update but I have it on GB. After answering a call for 2 or 3 seconds caller can t hear me and so do I... a complete silence for 3 secs.
Is there a possibility to fix this, and can someone explain why is this happening, what makes it freeze for 3 secs...
Hope someone knows the solution.

Its doing it because of the buggy ICS release, i had that too and never found a fix.

yeah but I have GB
I did updated to ICS but since it's USELESS on Sola I downgraded to GB
maybe there is at least some clue where to look... cause GB is not lagging at all, why is this call bug there? Do ICS did this even If I downgraded?
Personally I am satisfied with sola now, I fixed battery issue, back cover issue, and I have root with locked bootloader... the last thing is that call bug... If it's fixed I have a perfect phone for my needs.

found a fix,
does work on Sola
app called Call Delay Patch on PlayMarket
works after rebooting phone.

I am not able to find it anywhere. Can u upload somewhere n post its link here?

thats bad to hear. i was hoping that we would be able to use the skype app, since they decided to be cretins and required nimbuzz to remove their skype support =(
Same prob here, force closes almost everywhere.
Obviously this is not ready for X10, hence it won't show at the market.

Thanks for answering. But there is a way, semc debrand doesn't have that bug, but i can't seem to find the file that makes keyboard work completely, till now it's the only rom with that thing fixed.

Hey, bro, been working on this for the last few days, can't seem to find the special file(s) to get it work, but you are right, there MUST be a way... Lets keep on trying .
PS: Windows phone series ROM almost finished, only bug until now is radio... Just asked all devs for permissions and will be uploading soon. If you're still willing to test, I'll PM you the link.

Those files can only be in the folders app/framework/permissions/init'd but there are so many fu..... files in those folders of that rom that is difficult to discover something xD, yap we gotta keep trying .
Ps: How come radio has bug? if you use a base without a radio bug then the radio should work fine, only case i see is if the problem is the radio.apk itself and that way you just have to change the radio.apk for another one and of course ask permission to use that radio.apk app xD, but yes if you fix that and you think the rom is giving better battery life and stuff like that then i wanna try it . Other good news is that Vince will be updating his rom in a 5 days time , i hope that the keyboard scrolling will be fixed in this version, and if it is then we could see if we find the special files we are looking for and see what do we have to change or edit .
I has been testing roms since the froyo builds, and haven't see yet any rom, with that keyboard that doesn't have that bug.
the only thing is to avoid fast scrolling to the end of the list.
but good luck in your quest.

Yes it's true that all roms have that bug, but there is only one xception: semc debrand rom, that rom doesn't have the scrolling bug, but unfortunately the rest of the rom is still buggy to use, so that's why i'm trying to find that rom's file or folder that can fix that bug.
Thanks mate.

[GO] Phone answering lags on 4.1.2

Maybe some of you recognised this problem too, but after I used the search button I didn't find anything.
So after I upgraded my ST27i from ICS to JB, I'm experiencing heavy lags when someone calls me. Usually when I try answer the call, I have to wait about 8-10 sec to actually answer that call and to start talking.
I've tried it on stock JB, and custom JB too but both of them have the same issue. On ICS everything is working fine without bugs.
Anyone got some solution for it?
Best Regards,
+1 same here. Sometimes when dialling, too.

I think it is because of the phone app that needs to boot

You rooted? Try adding this at the end of your build.prop see if it makes a difference.

Hi. Any solutions for this problem? Have been facing the same thing for months...
Delete call history
I think the only way to fix this is to download apps from play store call "Ex dialer"nearly all Xperia u user rate it 5 star.
Correct me if I'm wrong
If you have CWM, wipe cache partition and use Seeder 2.0
This is a ram management problem causes phone to release all apps in memory and then reboots phone I have solved my problem by installing clean master from the play store and after its setup not 1 hang from phone.apk calling out and incoming fine

Finally I got some new results today, after struggling with this problem for months.
First I tried all the suggested methods (clearing the call log, installing all those apps), and none of them worked -- except CWM that I didn't try, because I wasn't root.
What solved my problem, was to do a clean flash (and wipe everything during flashing). The problem was totally gone. Note that "wiping every thing" during flashing is a key thing that I guess last time I hadn't done.
Everything was good until I restored all my backed up contacts -- around 1500 contacts. Then it was laggy again!
Then I again did a hard reset. Problem was gone again. But this time I was lucky enough to restore the contacts, and have my system in a healthy state -- no lags so far! I don't know what was different this time, but it's got to have something to do with the contacts!
I'll keep you updated if I find any changes -- worth reporting.

Just remove any VOIP software you have like viber, skype , etc. I know you might be using them but yeah sony's rom has issues with viber specially which causes this lag.. if u wanna use viber use a cm rom or stock ics, or gb. JB is buggy in terms of 3rd party VOIP support

Whatsapp works awful over home wifi

Nearly on every custom rom I have used, whatsapp is not working perfectly. My sent messages and messages I received are delivered very late sometimes. I do not use wifi sleep setting when screen is off, wifi is always on. And if there is no wifi, mobile data is on. When I reply a message, then the conversation is ok and occurs real-time. But if I don't touch the phone for a long time, incoming messages are not received instantly. And if I start a conversation my sent messages are not delivered for a long time (again sometimes).
i found this guy who has the exact same issue as me, so i just copied and paste his problem : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1979064
seems im not the only one.
any idea ? some setting to change on the router or something ?
no one has any idea ? :'(
I got that problem with ICS too.
I am using a GB custom ROM now and it works perfectly, no issues in WhatsApp anymore. Try it too!

{Xperia P} FAQ and Q&A thread for CARBON ROM by Abhinav2

FAQ:
1. When will the bugs be fixed?
-- We are trying our best to fix the bugs present and we hope to do so ASAP.
2. How often will you provide updates?
-- I'll try to provide as soon as possible but due to studies the updates may take some time
3. How can I help you?
-- Try to post more of logcats of errors and submit patches If you really like it consider donating TeamBlueRidge( @kalaker @insink71 @simonsimons34 )(check my signature) as they supported me a lot for this.
4. Which gApps to use?
-- I recommend these- http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2012857
5. Why is the proximity sensor on all the time?
-- Its a feature of carbon known as pocket mode. It doesn't take much battery but still if you want you can turn it off by going to Settings->Carbon Fibres->Lock Screen-> Notifications and uncheck pocket mode.
6. How to access developer options?
-- Go to About Phone in settings and tap Build Number 8-10 times.
7. Why is this feature of Carbon Fibers not working?
-- Carbon fibers are still being ported to 4.4 so may not work properly.
8. Is HALO present in the ROM?
-- Not for now but its being ported to it
---------------------------------------------------------------
You can ask questions about the rom here too!
Hi!
My solution is I installed the Walkman mod to the rom but the sound is being hell laggy and strange for a second when I press anything except the physical buttons and swiping.
It was something like when in an older cyanogenmod 11 you locked the screen and the sound became the same laggy.
In cm11 there isnt any problems like this for now.
The carbon rom work just almost perfect for me but I noticed for the game GTA vice city and sand andrea are fc.

There's no battery drain for me. How do you know it's the web browser?
If you're really sure it's the webbrowser, you can always disable the APK for a while and see if it's really that what's draining the battery.
I also highly recommend you to disable location services, because maybe it's the browser just searching for your location and then passing it to the website you're currently viewing.
I have noticed the battery drain, and the call lag in this nightly release, didnt happen in the previous release before the camera recording was fixed, cant remember whitch beta. Is it just me

Keyboard
Thanks for the really good ROM. Liked it a lot, using for the past week on ART without any issues. :victory:
Just a quick question tho, would it be possible to port a keyboard that supports T9/keypad mode? Don't mind if its a flashable ZIP as well.
Just one issue so far: the application Llama doesn't seem to always get root privileges in time (even though I've added it to the list of super-user apps under Settings). Any idea what might be wrong?
WIFI sleep issue...
Hi guys, I'm having a problem with the WIFI conection, I like to set it to sleep when screen off, but when the phone goes to deep sleep the conection gets lost and I have to turn it off and back on. Tried WIFI Fixer and it didn't help or I missed something in the config. Have WIFI always on in the meantime.
Any sugestions???
