Lumia 800 Bootloader Unlock Service - Nokia Lumia 800

Is there anyone that would be willing to unlock the bootloader on my Lumia 800 for me in the UK? The ATF boxes are quite expensive and not worth me buying one for a one-off unlock.

Ask here

Hi,
The 800 will also require very precise and somehow risky cut on the shielding to get good access to the TP locations. Maybe there is a better way via IR station and full removal of the shield, but i have no idea how to do that. Also i don't offer such service, maybe for a bottle of Jack Daniels and if you send the PCB only (plus ret postage) ?

siemens sx-56 help

I broke the LCD on my sx56 and am trying to find a replacement LCD or a non-working unit for parts. I know ebay is the best bet but I was hoping I would get lucky here. Any suggestions would be appreciated
How much are you willing to pay for it?
I have Siemens SX-56 which is fully working now, only one reason I want to get rid of it because it is lock to AT&T, and I'm tired to find the way to unlock it eventhough I here, in this forum.
thanks but I just purchased a non-working unit on e-bay w/ a good LCD

Dev Unlock / Sim Unlock

I need help from the community understanding how or if a dev unlock can lead me to my goal of a sim unlock for a Lumia 800. My bootloader is DLOAD and I have been unable to sim unlock this phone from it's original carrier. I would be more than glad to pay the $100 dollar fee to Microsoft for a developer account if that can lead me to a sim unlock. Is this possible, and if so a brief outline on where to look for the answers would be great. If it will not lead to a sim unlock , I would rather not spend the money. Thanks in advance for your input.
dev unlock and sim unlock are two different things.
No a dev unlock will not sim un lock your phone
However no need to pay 100$ for this. A simple unlock code provided by your carrier or by any unlock site for 10$ will do it ...

Have paid 7 different unlock sites amaounts ranging from $4.99 to $49.99.....all sites have eventually refunded my money saying they are unable to provide an unlock code for my phone.
sim unlock
the only way you are going to remove the sim unlock is by contacting the original phone operator the phone is locked to and ask them for a unlock code there is usually a fee for this. developer unlocking will not remove the sim unlock it just allows you to side load .xap applications. and seeing your device is DLOAD you cant install a custom rom or unlock that way either so its off to the orignal operator for you unlock mate

As far as I know the SIM lock is in the radio rom right? Wouldn't it be possible to just flash the radio rom from SIM Unlocked phone, or is it possible at all.

I wish developing unlocking solution was that cheap. To make current 710 sim unlock, even with free root available:
- The CPU has two cores, one run WP os, the other baseband, both talk to each other via shared memory drivers (low level), then higher level is
done via onrpc servers. Installing hooks into servers, low level drivers didn't provide easy way to debug the baseband
- The only way to debug the baseband was with hooking to OpenBTS and using some GSM message to send debug info to the base station
- So USRP1, 2000 USD, plus UK taxes, also need some clock modifications, lock to rubidium standard for stable clock(Qcom baseband is really
bad quality stuff, not easy to lock as some cheaper future phone Nokias), so extra 300 UK for the clocking, lots of soldering of course
- Killed the USRP1 at least once, so needed good 1 Ghz Spectrum Analyzer to repair, another 1500 GBP, it was lucky to get second hand on Ebay
- Needed an extra Linux PC to run OpenBTS, but that was cheap, just 120 GBP, again second hand from ebay
- Even i had source code for some old qcom modem with lots of similar functions - it took one month digging in IDA to find correct function to patch
(even it is just one byte to patch). How much was the cost of the work, no idea, with 6.30 GBP minimum wage for toilet cleaning in the UK
The fun of doing it - priceless. Is it possible to be done without good investment - off course not!
So for you to unlock your 800:
- Cheap BGA reball station, maybe 2500 - 4000 USD
- Universal programmer and socket 1000 - 1500 USD
- Need to learn how to remove, reball and put back BGA chips, remove eMMC flash, change bootloader with the programmer, put back and
you are good to go
Satisfaction of doing it - priceless.

Lumia 800 PCB

Hey guys,
Would anybody happen to know where I can get a hold of the PCB/PWB/Motherboard (whatever you want to call it.) of a Lumia 800?
Yes, I know I'm a fool for letting myself damage it, but I can't resist my urges sometimes.
Thanks in advance for the help, and yes, I have tried Google.
You'll probably be better of getting a new phone at this point. I am fairly sure the PCB as spare part would be more expensive. Lumia 800 sells in the UK for around 140 sterling right now..

Unlocking Rogers Lumia 920

I've been searching for a reasonably priced unlock service for my Rogers Lumia 920 but most unlock services are priced at $20 and above. Searching on eBay I find quite a few sellers offering cheap AT&T unlock codes, $4 and less, but Rogers Lumia 920 unlock codes are priced way higher. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced service?
Also, do I have to reset my phone to original state, prior to "Portico", for the unlock codes to work?
Any help would be appreciated.
I was not aware the Rogers phone is locked since it is not an AT&T subsidized model. The lock is to keep you from buying the AT&T at a reduced price and then using it on another network.
but fulepar

RAZR Motherboard prices

My bad motherboard new motherboard price?
Hi I didn't see Mainboard replacements for the RAZR nowhere. Check any Motorola (or partner) service provider and ask them.
But maybe you can find it somewhere in the Internet too..
I just know finding genuine RAZR replacement parts can be hard - only regarding to housing, etc. So I guess it will be more difficult to find hardware parts.
However, if find that board, compare prices for the board to prices for repair service (I guess your warranty might be over).
And lastly, are you able to perform the repair by yourself? You need the right tools (high precision tools) and really "controlled" fingers. In case of making a mistake you can potentially break other parts which are healthy actually.
*never mind! I cannot imagine if you're able to do this or if you're not able to. Just leaving a few hints for you
Good luck!
