RAZR Motherboard prices - Motorola Droid RAZR

My bad motherboard new motherboard price?

Hi I didn't see Mainboard replacements for the RAZR nowhere. Check any Motorola (or partner) service provider and ask them.
But maybe you can find it somewhere in the Internet too..
I just know finding genuine RAZR replacement parts can be hard - only regarding to housing, etc. So I guess it will be more difficult to find hardware parts.
However, if find that board, compare prices for the board to prices for repair service (I guess your warranty might be over).
And lastly, are you able to perform the repair by yourself? You need the right tools (high precision tools) and really "controlled" fingers. In case of making a mistake you can potentially break other parts which are healthy actually.
*never mind! I cannot imagine if you're able to do this or if you're not able to. Just leaving a few hints for you
Good luck!

Digitizer screw up?!

I just purchased a used Atrix online. When I put in my sim and tried to type in the carrier unlock code, I wasn't able to enter it because I found that there were dead spots on the screen.
Note this is pretty much right out of the box. The only thing that I can think of that might have messed it up is that I stuck my nail in the crack between the side and the screen and moved it along the length of the phone to get some dirt accumulated there out.
What I'm wondering is if I have royally screwed up my digitizer b/c of what I did and if there is a way to fix it? Or do you think i was sent a dud?
I've got the same. The same things are with other Motorola phones like Defy or Milestone.
I've send my Atrix to service
Thanks for the response. Sorry for not doing a search ahead of time. Looks like this is fairly common.
Try warranty. I bought a used one, had the same problem, called in and they replaced it. I didn't tell them I bought it used, nor did they ask. Sent me out a new phone, not a refurbished one.

Oh really? Warranty through AT&T or Motorola?
I use Motorola, they send out new phones, AT&T send out refurbished phones. I found Motorola easy to deal with. I bought my phones used, they didn't ask, and I didn't offer the info. They replaced 2 phones for me.
Another digitizer thread about the atrix. Nothing new here, move along people.

Q - Advice

Hi,
I smashed my screen on my I9305 and not realizing it i put the I9300 replacement screen on the phone. I have had issues with the IMEI null and not picking up signal. I have tried all mentioned methods on here to restore but none have worked. I gave up an contacted a repair center and they have said that putting a I9305 screen on will solve the problem. Is this correct as I don't want t spend money if it is not correct.
Thanks

As far as my knowledge goes screen replacing doesn't effect anything until or unless you have badly messed up some hardware in the process. The module used to allow communication on i9300 and i9305 is same plus it doesn't has to do anything with screen. You can try to put a new SIM card module to see whether the phone picks up signal or not. The best bet for you is that you don't go around spending money for a thing that is perfectly fine.
One more bet is that you may have ruined some inner hardware during the smash and not in the replacing process.
Hit Thanks if I helped.
did you replace the screen with a heat gun like in some videos on youtube? if so you might have damaged some of the sensible parts of the sIII if you didn't take them off before, for example the antenna or the simcard module like the one above me said.
so i think it will be difficult to find the broken part - changing all possible parts by yourself is very expensive and time-consuming.
I recommend you to consult an official samsung repair center (which will be expensive, too) or sell your phone as broken and invest the money in a new one...

No I replaced the screen with a genuine service pack one which came pretty much whole. Didn't heat anything just swapped them over and turned it on. Advice I got was that it was because I put on the i9300 screen on is why I couldn't restore my imei number.
Now selling the motherboard if anyone is interested

Its hard to find working main boards. Quickest way is to get it repaired by samsung service centers. But it will almost cost you as same as getting a second hand GS2. If you are willing to take a risk you can buy screen damaged phones on ebay and use its motherboard. Decision is up to you
i can't find any screen damaged phone on ebay or amazon

Then you should take your phone to samsung and ask for the price of a mb replacement
Nothing new .. still searching
and samsung agency on my country told me the board coasts 90% from the price of the phone as new
so , i should end my searching or there's any hope ?
You've already been told either eBay/Amazon for busted phone or Samsung/authorised repairer (who will charge you labour to install said MB; Samsung won't sell you one for obvious reasons, as you've found out)
What more are you expecting anyone here to tell you that you haven't already been told ? You were told those options because they're the options anyone who visits here in your situation would look at (I know I'd be looking for a 'donor'/broken phone first, then I'd be biting the bullet & either paying Samsung to fix it or get a new phone).
Posting here again in the hope this has somehow changed over the past week isn't going to make it so.

Have you tried looking at ebay or amazon? If you know the exact model you want/need it could be a cheap solution.
Procuring a new motherboard without paying a Samsung authorised service centre a lot of money for labour to replace your board is very very difficult. Samsung don't sell the boards to the public, and if they found out new boards were 'leaking' from authorised service centres, they'd chuck a fit
If you don't like the idea of paying a service centre to put a new board in, you're likely going to have to settle on a 2nd hand one from a 'donor'/broken phone.
Edit - And many boards pushed as 'new' on places like eBay are in fact 2nd hand boards that have been 'tidied up' a bit.

[Q] Capacitive buttons are not working ?

:crying: I have HTC One X+ 64gb Telus which is rooted,s-off and boot loader unlocked. I am using Elegancia 6.2.0. I don't know what happened to it. Suddenly Capacitive buttons are not working as light are working. In past it never dropped and I Nevar sit on it. I don't know why it happened. Now i am using LMT launcher from which I am not satisfied and thinking about repairing it. In my city there are no HTC service center but there is a collection point(I don't know what it is??? ) . I searched about this on Internet and found that it may be problem of Digitizer. So, My questions are:
1. By replacing LCD+Digitizer would solve this problem? If yes, then which variant should I buy SHARP or SONY version? As mine is Telus version.
2. Should I go to Collection Point in my city ?
3. Or should I take risk of doing dis-assembly of it ?
4. Or Should I buy a LCD+Digitizer from internet and do replacement by local mobile repairs?
PS: I bought it 2 months ago from ebay and it doesn't have manufacturer warranty. And sorry for my bad english
Bring it to an authorized repair shop or contact HTC and ship it in. Make sure that it is actually a hardware problem, and then have them replace it.
Try not to replace it yourself, there is a ton of adhesive and you might damage the phone as you need to use a suction device to remove the screen.
(I do believe the buttons are part of the lcd/digitizer assembly, but you might want to check with HTC support)
If you want to save money, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fatedevgroup.softkeyenabler&hl=en will get you on screen buttons
