Without being a jerk like the last poster, the answer is no.

This unfortunately is really the only reason I never stuck with ICS/JB on the Flyer. Unless someone comes up with an astonishing breakthrough (doubtful since most devs have moved on) Netflix streaming will never be functional on the newer versions.

I've tried searching and can't really find any recent definitive answers. Do any AOSP roms exist that support hdmi out via MHL?

Negative, not yet.

Well that's a shame. Since sense doesn't even support a keyboard I can't see the use of using hdmi out, I already have a media player for video files.
Any AOSP roms that support 3D videos (youtube mainly) and games?

It's going to take some time. The timing wasn't right with our device as far as aosp goes. Things shifted to ICS development before work on gingerbread aosp really took off, so it was like starting over. There are a lot of good devs here, but if any of them were to get 3d, 4g, or hdmi working in aosp, my money would be on toast and shinzul. it's tough to follow their progress on cm9, but hopefully someday we'll all be surprised.

Ahh well. Guess I should just be thankful that something will happen eventually. For now ill just have to test out the various sense based Tom's we have now.
Why did aosp roms get off to a slow start anyway?
I'm just wondering if either of these roms currently support mhl for the i777

No AOSP firmwares do at this point - codeworkx and espenfjo are focusing on working the remaining bugs out of the camera first. A side effect of the camera work is signs of life from the MHL port - but usually just a frozen picture.

Hi guys,
Any news about the MHL?
I'm currently on 20120413 and everything works good, I Love CM9!
but MHL would be nice to have... the only thing that works when I'm using the MHL is the video... so I can watch Youtube on the big screen VIA my I9100, but games and Android OS are frozen on the TV..
There is some expectation of when it will be ready?
Thanks!

They're still fixing main issues such as external SD issues and the like. MHL doesn't seem very important to them at the moment, maybe in the future after the rest of the issues are fixed. I'd love to have MHL again but it's not too big of a deal.
Is there a decent non-stock/touchwiz that does support mhl? Does the AOKP ported rom work?

Read, right above you. And it isn't ported, it was built from source for our device

OK 10x!
yes I understand that MHL doesn't seem very important... Its just one of these things that are "nice to have" ... like the FM radio which is not important for me but I'm sure that there are others that waiting for this one too...
OK as always, we will wait and update the ROM from time to time... there is no chance that I'll get back to STOCK, this TW UI is ugly! pure ICS only

I can read, even right above me, or below, where if YOU look just below roms developed for the i777 is a whole section for PORTED roms. Great post, very helpful. Wish I could read...

And there is no AOKP rom there anymore, it's in the section for I777 original Development so you are wrong

I am running meanrom with the dreaded vm firmware and I am looking for a kernel that supports looping device. If I have to switch rom's then so be it.
Thank you!

Is there no Kernels for ICS sense 4.0 (that doesn't break the camera)? Been looking everywhere

The only kernels for ICS on the 3d are stock and Chad's. But since sense 4.0 was not written for the 3d, the camera does not work. Until HTC releases the source for the camera or a dev figures it out (which may be soon from what I've seen), it will not work.

I appreciate all the hard work done by the developers and shared with everyone, so believe me I'm not complaining just trying to learn. Why are there no Jelly Bean roms out? I assume it's a technical reason.

Sorry I mean to post this under questions.
The devs typically wait to release new stuff to the public until it's stable enough for daily use. Maybe not completely functional, but almost there. Jellybean isn't quite there yet. Patience
Aosp has not even been completely been worked out for ics man were is lollipop rom at. Check out the aosp topic they are working on it.

In order to get Jelly Bean I believe AOSP for ICS has to be fully worked out. ICS is almost there. There's just a number of bugs that have to be fixed.
On a side note I'm really interested in seeing what Project Butter is like. Because Neo's AOSP ROM is smooth as hell by itself already.
CM9 is stable.I think it might have to do with kernel.

We need a device similar to ours to have jb so we can port it.

From what I've heard, Protekk is working on it for the tbolt. That should help out a bit I think.

Yes, by either porting it from devices similar to ours or from AOSP.

jb with sense 4.5 is already ported
cm10 not yet but they working on it ofc
EDIT
sense 4.5 is not based on jb sorry....
Thanks for the replies. I figured there was one large sticking point, but it sounds like there is a lot more to it than that. Can't wait to try Newts latest.
For Sense JB I think we would need a JB kernel which we don't have so AOSP for now.
Jelly Bean does exist but without bluetooth calling
There are Custom Jelly Bean ROMs. The only problem I have, and it's a deal-breaker, is that bluetooth calling does not work in ANY of them. I like Mean Horsey Face, but NO bluetooth...

This is great news. Thanks to both you and heyis4horses for your responses and to neo for his effort.
I haven't had good luck with 4.2. I ran it for about 18 hours, and while the BT calling and signal bars were fixed, I had scores of other issues, including choppiness, lots of force closing under heavy load, dock issues, and GPS issues (even after the GPS fix). It's still pretty broken, so don't expect miracles out of it. I'm going to be doing ROM work on it, but I'm not going to be releasing any of it until the base is in better shape.

Nice leak you have cahced there ^^ Seems like 4.2 is coming soon if they are testing it.
I'm confused, does this guy work at HTC or something? For the most part all I can tell is that he is an XDA mod and dev. There are a variety of ways he could have done this: just flashing 4.2 camera onto a stock HTC rom, running unofficial AOSP/CM/AOKP (admittedly not likely because he's American), etc. I find myself doubting that HTC of all companies will be the first after Google to update their devices to 4.2.

Wonder when this will be available in Canada. That looks like a cool lil camera feature.
Yeah he's totally in the UK

I also don't understand how this is relevant. He works at xda, not HTC. I myself flashed the 4.2 camera on my 4.1 sense ROM and photosphere works great. Since he works at xda it's doubtful he's running anything official. There's nothing to support that he's running 4.2, just the camera. The only way this could be newsworthy would be if he's running a Sense 4.2 ROM or if he's developing an At&t aosp-based ROM. Anything else is old news.
Well hes response in coments is interesting where to the coment about ''exposing inside info...'' he answers:
