CounterShrike 3.1.1
About the ROM
This is the most feature-packed CM9-based ROM on the Rezound, giving you some of the most popular customization options while maintaining the stability of CM9. Features Aroma Installer for a highly customizable experience, complete with S-ON and GSM support, and lots of application In addition to adding dozens of options, I've added in the latest bugfixes and enhancements that didn't make it into the final release of CM9.
S-ON users: Please see the FAQ in post 2 for more information on flashing when S-ON.
IMPORTANT ALERT TO ALL USERS: GAPPS INSTALLATION NO LONGER REQUIRED. Recently, it was brought to my attention that the legal limitations on including Google Apps in an AOSP ROM was specific to the CyanogenMod team, so I have decided to include them in the installer now. If I get a letter from Google, I'll pull them out again, but for now, one download and one install is all you need.
As well as having all of the standard features of CM9, CounterShrike contains the following features:
Aroma Installer:
S-ON kernel installer
CDMA or GSM support
Choose from Trebuchet, Nova Launcher, and Apex Launcher
Choose between Superuser or SuperSU

FAQ
Q: How do I install this ROM if I am S-ON?
A: Install the ROM from recovery as you normally would. During installation, select S-ON when prompted by Aroma. The installer will create a PH98IMG.zip file on your /sdcard. When installation is complete, reboot to your bootloader, either from Amon-Ra's Developer menu or TWRP's Reboot menu, and then select BOOTLOADER from the fastboot menu. The bootloader will prompt you to press VolUp to install the PH98IMG. Do so, and the kernel image will install. Be sure to delete the PH98IMG.zip file from your SD card when you're done so you'll be able to get back into your bootloader easily if necessary.
Q: What's the difference between SuperUser and SuperSU?
A: Functionally, both provide control over root access given to applications and services. SuperUser is the default app in CM9, and has been the long time standard on Android. The basic version simply provides per app allow/deny options, logging, and a few global options. A donate version is available that provides more granular per app logging and notification options. SuperSU is a recent entry that fixes some problems that the developer perceieved in SuperUser and seeks to provide more advanced features. The basic version provides all of the features of the basic version of SuperUser and more, including temporary unroot, per app notification configuration, wake on prompt, and more. The choice between the two is completely user preference. SuperUser has the edge in longevity and familiarity, SuperSU has the edge in advanced features. For most users, one will work as well as the other, but if you are having trouble getting root to stick on one, try out the other.
Q: Why does my screen go black when I'm on a phone call?
A: Your proximity sensor is being incorrectly triggered. Most of the time, this is calibration problem rather than a sensor problem. To fix, download Chad0989's Rezound Proximity Sensor Calibrator app. You will see a "NEAR" reading on the screen. Slowly increase the High Threshold until you see a "FAR" reading. Increase the High Threshold by 3-5 more than it takes to trigger a "FAR" reading. Test the new settings by covering and uncovering the Verizon logo on the front of the phone. The reading should switch between NEAR and FAR. Check "Set on boot" and close the app. If this fix does not work for you, your proximity sensor is bad, and you will need to contact Verizon for a replacement phone.
Github info
The main manifest of this ROM is at https://github.com/CounterShrike/android. While anyone is free to view the code and compile it on their own, no one else is given permission to release the ROM as is without written permission. The purpose of the public git is for open collaboration, so I encourage everyone with anything to contribute to go check it out. This github contains the main rom code only. Boot animation, tweaks, and Aroma configurations and scripts are only available in the official release.
I'll take this one just in case.

I'm really sorry to hear that he had to give it up. I remember him saying that he was having nerve issues, but I didn't realize that it was that serious. I've had great success with Project Rachel so far, but I'm still looking forward to see what you can do with it.
Edit: I saw that it was unrelated to nerve issues in his thread. Hurt his back.

I want to say this. I have a lot of time invested in this rom. I have become good friends with these guys and I know they wont let me down. Snuzzo should get the biggest thanks because without him the OG rom would have never happened. Shrike, I know you wont let me down . Synister I am sure will do some kind of mods for it so I know thats taken care of. I would appreciate it Shrike if you would ALWAYS use Snuzzos kernel. Plain and simple, his kernels are unmatched. Well I will be on and off the scene and I hope this project turns out as good as I hope it will. Thank you all for your support and assistance.
I have a dream. That the community could come together and make an awesome rom.
Will offer any support I can to this rom.

He’s the hero XDA deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we’ll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he’s not our hero. He’s a silent guardian, a watchful protector. Apophis9283.
Lol, sorry, I had to. In all seriousness though, thank you Apophis. We appreciate everything you've done, and I hope your medical issues get resolved.
Thank you guys. Appreciate it

Just to let everyone know what's going on right now, I want to make this ROM easy to maintain, and easy to contribute to. To that end, I'm currently in the process of merging every commit this ROM has into my github. It's a long, involved process, but I think it will pay off dividends when I'm done. Anyone will be able to view the code, and anyone will be able to contribute code for consideration. As I said in the OP, this might take a week or two, but I think it will really allow this ROM to come alive as a true community effort.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
I should be able to upload all that for you to mine. Let me know something. I can probablt do it tonight or tomorrow night. If that makes it easier
Also just to clarify it was a combo of both, nerve issues in my right leg ( going to see a specialist soon ) and lower back injuries that caused me to decide to pass this on. I cant sit at my computer desk for long periods of time. I am only too happy that I have some good friends and good people on this rom now.

Also I will bve uploading a new version tonight. It was what I had already started and he can add it to the op whenever the changelog is only 2 things but they are fixes. heres is the changelog....
1) f/b: fix wrong qcom ifdef
2) Fix Issue 5547: Apollo will not play MP3 files when using Root Explorer
http://beta.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390135922294522588
he can upload this version to the op and I am out fellows. I will also try to upload what I have to github for everyone else
dirty flash should be fine.
Bruce , thank you very much for the donation man. I really do appreciate it.
Just to note that the new build from apophis is up in the OP now.
Also, Neo is awesome. Just saying...
Things are going much faster on my end than I expected. No promises, but I should have the first new build up for you guys early next week. Have a few more commits I'm eyeing, so I'll try to finish getting everything in my git and get those new commits integrated and get a new build out. The new name will be debuting at that time as well.
Quick opinion poll: would anyone be upset if I took ROM Manager out of the build?

Yea, I already noticed.
I'll switch my manifest back to Chad's for now and put yours in post-build. Let me know when I can brunch again, and let me know if I need to pull in or revert some commits.

Yeah what I'm thinking about doing is keep using AOKP's wifi for my own personal builds and revert with a cherry-pick whenever I build a kernel. Either that or setup another branch to pull from.
What you think? Might even be able to use the funky_kernel repo for brunching.
As that is setup to use HTC binaries from source. Not quite sure if that will break anything tho

Um... Guys... Experiencing random reboots on latest build. Could it be the governor? Currently using lazy.

Paranoid Android 3.69
Latest version: July 30
Description
Paranoid Android 3.69 for Sony Xperia Ray.
This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode.
This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually.
Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course.
Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on.
This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size.
You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to.
You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot.
You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode.
Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself.
This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

is it stable for daily use? just like taking a picture, instagraming , or line with friends?
thanks i gitta try it
WOW!! I always wanted the latest PA ROM for our Ray. Thank you thomas1991_12.
gellery, camera FC ... no music app :/
this is what i've been waiting for! i believe that one day you will come and bring some surprise, this is it! this is the day! thanks
if i use FlyKernel 3 this rom works or not? i prefer Flykernel than nAa's kernel
Flykernel 3 may work not 100% sure. But NaA kernel has been updated more. I would suggest that.
Camera works here, so does gallery. (only stretched in 8mp mode, 6mp is normal). Try clearing data in settings->app).
There is no music app yet, im trying to keep it as light as possible, but ill consider adding a default one.

yes gallery and camera working now somehow
wifi seems fine too ... maybe i will install apollo music player, and some file manager too.
one more problem: its not showing content of sd card when i connect mobile to pc.
This has probably been the lightest ROM I have installed yet. Very impressed with the performance without having to OC although I have done so out of habit. I am using Mike's kernel from his 10.1 ROM and I tried both releases of this ROM from the past two days last night.
Wi-Fi has not worked on either ROM version while using Mike's kernel and I even tried the emulator but it said that the wifi file could not be loaded. In your new update from last night there is NO emulator installed! :silly: I am not familiar with using ADB so cannot comment.
The camera has been the best 4.2 camera of any ROM. Preview is normal, menus all work and HDR doesn't cause a FC.....kinda haha. On your original release HDR would take its necessary three shots and then after some processing save a singular compiled image. The newest release 20130701 saves all three images and after processing saves a fourth that is grey and cannot be viewed. This also caused a force close once but after that it hasn't.
Video recording is a bit different since it doesn't provide quality settings based on resolution but on quality (480p, 720p vs low, medium, high). With the setting on High quality I took a short video and didn't have any problems when it saved it and then replaying the clip.
I prefer that you set the Nexus wallpaper as default as opposed to a CM wallpaper like on the latest release. Due to not having Wi-Fi access I was unable to download any apps since I currently have no 3G Data allowance on the test SIM. My primary SIM is in my other phone and is a micro-SIM so won't fit in the Ray. I could not test audio playback as unable to download a player at this time.
I'd like to recommend that the stock browser be included in the ROM as it is a light browser works very well and can be removed if someone would rather use Chrome or Opera.
I apologise for the long and wordy post. Sometimes hard to be concise while providing as much detail as possible. I will update my feedback as I test more features.
Thank you for what looks like a VERY promising and exciting ROM :good:

I'd like to recommend that the stock browser be included in the ROM as it is a light browser works very well and can be removed if someone would rather use Chrome or Opera.
I apologise for the long and wordy post. Sometimes hard to be concise while providing as much detail as possible. I will update my feedback as I test more features.
Thank you for what looks like a VERY promising and exciting ROM :good:

Thank you for testing. Emulator will be included in next release, i forgot the CM packages with the july 1 release
Wifi does work but only when you load wifiload manually, im trying to fix that as we speak. (highest priority)
You are right about HDR, hadnt noticed that bug. Ill try to figure that one out too, but first wifi. Wallpaper is personal so I wont change the default one probably. How do you mean the stock browser? It is already included..
EDIT:
HDR is not a bug. It will fail if you don't hold the device very stable. If you keep it stable or in a tripod it will succeed and delete the 3 intermediate images and leave you with the hdr image.
WiFi worked for me with the included kernel. I had no sound when I played video.
I might have installed some modules ... Don't remember as I had to restore a back up and did not stay on the ROM for very long. Liked what I saw though

Sorry about the browser thing. I must be going blind since I seemed to have missed that icon!! It is there and was merely an oversight by me.
I tried testing HDR again as you said but still no luck. Even holding it against a table it would take the images and then camera force closed each time as it was processing the HDR image. I will test some more today and flash previous version. Maybe I can generate a logcat or something to document the issue.
UPDATE:
Using latest release and have found the following:
Wifi works perfectly now and I haven't noticed any signal drops or other related issues.
Camera HDR has the same issue but I tried something as a possible workaround. I bumped up the CPU to 1.4GHz OC and tested it out. On the very first release it managed to more consistently save the image without any FC's. This by simply holding the phone carefully and not stabilising it further with a table or some similar assistance. However on the newest release doing didn't quite work and I was not able to hold the phone still enough for it to save the final image.
Initially Google Now kept crashing but that was because it required updating although initially google voice search was not present under "My Apps" on the Play Store.
I downloaded Rocket Player and music sounds great. It used its own sound enhancer though so not sure if DSP is fully functional.
Bluetooth file sharing works but I do not own a headset to test connectivity.
Halo works great with some niggling nuances. Whatsapp is possibly not completely compatible because aside from responding to messages I cannot attach files like images through Halo. Need to open main app. Taking a screenshot gets recorded as an activity within Halo and as a result takes a little longer than expected to complete. Also it seems that the gallery does not update since after taking the screenshot I can not see the images. However if I take another and access the gallery through Halo I can see my recent screenshots all present.
Update 2:
Offline charging doesn't work as normal. When phone is turned off and I connect to charger the phone boots up fully into OS. Does not remain at kernel state with charging animation.

Thanks for extended test.
- HDR shows no errors (doesnt FC for me btw) and most of the times it succeeds when I tried if I hold it very still. I maybe will eventually look into it to see if I can improve that.
- Google Now does work, at least here. Maybe it was just the update thing. So no bug either if I understand correctly.
- Halo isn't something im going to mess with, it is exactly the same as in source PA. Im sure it has it limitations, but in general I find it very useful :cyclops:
- Offline charging does not work indeed. Hadn't noticed it, not a major issue I think but I will put it on bug list.
Thanks!
BTW: Im currently switching over kernel building to linaro 4.8 and im trying to fix the 8mp stretched camera.

Glad I could help. I don't need to worry about my phone working all the time since I got a new one so wanted to help development as much as I could.
HDR could be because I may have dropped the phone one too many times perhaps the phone is overly sensitive or something.
I love the usefulness of Halo definitely. Guess will just be patient and wait for future improvements by the PA team.
I haven't found a major bug as you said. You've done a great job and this can only get better. Keep it up! I look forward to testing further and good luck with updating the kernel

Sorry for a noob question but I don't have any idea how to set up HOLO ? it can't handle any of my notifications.
Also seems like the wifi tethering doesn't work for me.

For Halo check that you enabled it first. In the notification bar when you swipe it down there is a small icon next to the tiles button. A circle with a chat box on it. That turns Halo on. Halo settings can be found under the Settings within Toolbars I believe.

Notificiations should go to halo, like for example an incoming whatsapp message wil appear in the halo circle which can be touched and it will open whatsapp in a small overlay window.

Yes just as thomas1991_12 pointed out you need to receive a message or notification to occur for Halo to show up. Try taking a screenshot, I found that the notification that occurs from doing that triggers Halo.

Information
These are the monthly releases of CM with some modifications and touch ups that will be listed below, They are meant for users who want a stable ROM without the need to flash nightly releases and risking a Nandroid, anyone who has enjoyed the stability of my Google Edition ROM should give this a go
all builds have their core features tested (Camera, bluetooth, bluetooth audio, tethering, USB audio, Data, Voice calls etc), I also adb debug each release and look for any redflags, I then set up the phone and daily drive it with a few of my testers and once I deem the release stable it will be posted here.
Note: The CM camera works but it's not the best, SnapCam HDR (Paid app) from the market is much more stable and has a ton more features (these developers only focus on the 4.4 open source camera and making it better), I highly suggest doing what I do and removing the stock Camera and Gallery and using this awesome app which also includes a gallery with more features, myself and ktoonsez swear by it. The stock files are found in system/app.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

06/01/2014
I was VERY happy with how 5/31/2014 ran on my phone but noticed a few commits merged last night that were authored by bossman Cyanogen himself, so here is your changelog. I feel like the foundations of this ROM are set now which I knew would take a few builds
so if all goes well with this, I will start bi-weekly releases because I'm extremely sick of full wiping/testing/compiling, I just wanna use my phone as a phone!!
stagefright: yield callbackDispatcher to writer only for video
libstagefright: Fix to handle EAGAIN error on first read to source
audio: mute duration at the beginning of recording
Bluetooth: Fix for device gets stuck in pairing
Bluetooth: turn on lcd during Connection

appops: Fix WIFI_SCAN AppOp permission index
nxp: Include support declaration for Mifare tags

Added Stock MMS back in the build as it's theme friendly

more that I'm probably forgetting but this is the important stuff
05/27/2014

wm: Underp menu key release processing (doesn't effect Titanium so don't ask, thats a TB bug)
Fix circle battery opaqueness for the low battery color
Reduce memory leaks by removing all views.
CMAccount: fix setup wizard crash
Themes: Add read/write permissions - 2 commits
Fix broken tags
Remove Status bar notification count checkbox preference <--- main reason for this update, I don't like broken toggles in my settings menus, no idea why CM just leaves them in there, it's rather annoying when there is ZERO java controlling them

A2DP: Stop spamming log with buffer size
Make KeyguardMultiUserAvater fully themable
CMAccount: Remove "or" between account buttons

Very nice, gonna give this a flash.
If I could make a suggestion, maybe offer a F2FS modded download too? Since it's using Kt's kernel it supports F2FS. Also a link to his TWRP modded version as well. if you decide to do this.
Nice! Deffinitly gonna try this!

Having a lot of problems with the back button not working in apps. This happened occasionally in official CM11 but it's happening a ton more on this build.

It connects fine. Any cm rom I've ever ran has trouble with network extender. It always shows roaming. At least yours, the lockscreen does say
Network extender. I have to allow data roaming to get everything to work, without the pesky roaming message all the time.
I'll like this so far, I'm going to run it for the next couple of days to see what happens...

Flash immediately after flashing ROM.
Will be testing this out today. One of my big beefs with CM on this phone is bluetooth streaming. It works, but works suckily (that needs to be a real English word, lol). Drops, buzzes, etc. Dan's GE ROM works great, obviously because of the up to date proprietary drivers. I've tried bumping the minimum clock speed, etc. to no avail. But I am forever the optimist and will try this out later today because Dan and KT are teh awesomeness.

Thank you bonuzzz and Valera1978. This OmniROM directly built from source is out of the box the smoothest and reactive ROM I've seen on the T-900, and it's also fully Open Source AOSP. I have been fortunate to run this version in alpha and beta over the past 4 or 5 days and I have not seen any extraordinary issues with the release., on the contrary it's the most reactive ROM currently existing for the T-900.
Note for v.2 - Be very patient in flashing v2, from that system format starts in TWRP until extraction kicks in there's currently a delay of up to 3 minutes
Just as under the SM-T900 cm11 tread, I have performed some functionality testing of the device and some extra features, they are shown below as working, not working or not tested. The functionality grid was developed based on weaknesses in earlier AOSP builds and ports for the large format Samsung Tab/Note Pro family:
- mtp - to activate go to Settings/About tablet/ and tap 8 times on Build number - The menu will now have Settings/{ } Developer options/ activated. Check mark USB debugging notify.
- adb
- External SD - working out of the box
- Ext4 SD card mounting on external SD card - Unfortunately, I don't have a free SD Card to test with, if someone is interested in performing the test and report back it would be great, but theoretically it should work
- USB OTG including USB storage
- Off-mode charging
- Encryption - failed restoration of encrypted backup data in TWRP 2.8.1.1, but this must be a TWRP issue - Encryption process in ROM takes about an hour to perform, if someone is interested in performing the test and report back it would be great, but theoretically it should work
-----------------------------------------
- Lid sensor
- IR blaster - I've used IR2.0
- OC settings - located in Settings/Performance/ if you swipe right between the grids a"power menu" is shown where a multitude of performance settings and information is available, most of them currently not used.
- Advanced reboot - to activate go to Settings/About tablet/ and tap 8 times on Build number - The menu will now have Settings/{ } Developer options/. Check mark Advanced reboot.
- Screen Rotation only seem to react if the app has a default setting. You can use the Set Orientation, or the Ultimate Rotation Control app to pick the rotation you desire.
-----------------------------------------
- Play Store
- Google Play movies download and playback
- Google Play streaming Movies & TV
- DRM - tested with Audible, Google Books and Amazon Kindle
-----------------------------------------
- Zona
- Popcorn Time - need upgrade to latest version 2.3 beta, includes built-in VPN and Chromecast support with subtitles, earlier version timed out
- YouTube 1080p playback - 1440p will work w. v5.9.0.12, but I believe this to be a false positive
- Netflix
-----------------------------------------
- Chromecast with #MirrorEnabler hack, allowing for screen cast
- MHL connector
- Miracast
-----------------------------------------
- Capacitive lights - I assume this is the backlights for the capacitive buttons
- Capacitive keys
- Home button - correct function performed
- Brightness manual + auto
- Vibrator
-----------------------------------------
- GPS lock and voice directed navigation
- WiFi both 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz are working
- Bluetooth
- Microphone
- Audio on both speakers
- Headphones
-----------------------------------------
- Camera - in progress the camera "works", but does not allow for single shots to be taken, and crashes in video mode, but panorama shots are working
- Torch as of v2
- Camera Sensors as of v2
-----------------------------------------
- Xposed Framework and modules - need re-initialization after each boot (common to all cm ROM's)
- Superuser - installation of SuperSU from TWRP is recommended - make sure to enter into SuperSU settings and execute "Install SuperSU backup script", under the CUSTOM ROM label, before re-flashing a ROM update.
- Hangouts Dialer phone calls via Hangouts
-----------------------------------------
All fixes are in progress and will hopefully be sorted out in the new upcoming release
The following are standard limitations and options for OmniROM:
Write access to your external SD-card works out of the box, but just in case i suggest to d/l JRummy's SD KitKat Fixer
init.d support also works out of the box, otherwise d/l Uni-init by Ryuinferno.
If you think to much heat is building up use Performance/Governor set to ondemand, or conservative and I/O Schedduler to bfq, in addition to increase battery time you can set Wi-Fi/Advanced/Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep/ to Only when plugged in and make sure the Wi-Fi/Advanced/Wi-Fi optimization/ is checked and reduce Display/Sleep/ to below 1 minute. You can also use some apps to improve battery eg Easy Battery Saver, or the more sophisticated AutoCon+ Save Battery & Data and and to put hanging apps to hibernation Greenify that I believe require Xposed Installer. To improve charging time, you can use an app eg Faster Charger. Finally, I have also used PurePerformances in order to further improve the performances and VIPER4AndroidFX to allow for louder speaker sound and enhanced listening experience.
new version is released. sensors are fixed. camera is not working yet
I have read about, and been curious about, omnirom for a long time now. I love this tab smt 900 but have not had a lot of luck with development so far. I am a tinkerer, i like to flash a rom, tweak to my satisfaction and run it for a long time. I will stay here for a few days to see if it gains speed and these issues are fixed. If so, it looks like a great daily driver. Currently running the cm build that @arcadia2uk helped with. THANK YOU ALL for your efforts and contributions so people like me can have so much fun. Looking forward to it.

Be very patient in flashing v2, from that system format starts in TWRP until extraction kicks in there's currently a delay of close to 3 minutes. Also, if you plan on a dirty flash; make sure to enter into SuperSU settings and execute "Install SuperSU backup script" under the CUSTOM ROM label before flashing.

Personally, I'm using XHaloFloatingWindow together with Floatifications and it works very well in landscape mode (I have not tried in portrait).

That is the exact setup I am using on the SM T900. XHalo and Floatifications. It is close to halo on PA. I am on the cm 11 ROM but I am confident the ROM is irrelevant as to functionality.
I'm a huge fan of OmniROM and very happy to have it on my T900.
I'm shocked this project hasn't gathered more interest, CM is becoming convoluted while Omni, strictly IMHO, is generally a lighter/cleaner ROM.

Good question... There is nothing to release. Onmi L is very unstable for this tab because it doesn't have support of exynos platform. I dont have enough time and patience to port everything to omni. So I recommend to take a look to CM11.

Man, I'm sorry to hear you say that.
I'm running Omni on my T900 and love it. Everything runs fine for me. The only problem I run into, frequently, is the sensor issue. Basically I can't get the screen-rotation working with any consistency. Every now and then I can play with display auto-rotate settings (disabling, running an app while in a certain orientation, then enabling auto-rotate again .. things like this) that will prompt a rotation. However, 95% of the time I can't get the screen to rotate.
Other than that, I have zero problems with your port to the T900. It would be great if you would stick it out, it's a great alternative to CM!
Thanks again!

I have been thinking about trying this OmniROM instead of CM12...the only thing holding me back is the lack of camera.

That is good news. From page 1 it states backlight & camera not working. In this case, will give it a test run. Sounds like fun & thanks!:good:
P.S. Isn't the T900 the SWEETEST tablet you have ever put your hands on?!?!?
Reporting back...
Hi,
I installed OmniROM and was immediately pleased with 1 thing in particular...OmniROM's brightness level (on the brightest level), seemed to be brighter than CM12. I liked the status bar mods (network in / out counters), date / time mods but would nice to be able to adjust colors indepently and also support theming. The camera works fine. I do have issues with auto rotation and hard keys backlight don't illuminate. Other than these 2 items, the ROM boots very fast, stable & responsive. Great job & will keep an eye out for updates. I am happy to be a test / data point and will be running OmniROM as my daily driver for the time being.
Kind Regards,

Any reason why T320 is not have this ROM? Its Snapdragon based so I would have thought it would be easier.
The camera stopped working for me or perhaps wasn't working fully before. Any chance on an update that will fix camera?
Appreciate it...

Appreciate the tip.
I actually went back to CM12 but miss a lot of things about OmniROM. I am rather surprised there are not more custom ROMs available in general for the Tab Pro 12.2" (SM-T900) [Beanstalk, Slim, PAC, etc.]. You would think there would be given the greatness of this tablet regarding size and performance. I keep patiently hoping and waiting with optimism.

So this isn't CM based at all then from what I have read I think. I love CM options but I'm in a poor signal area and the CM kernels or whatever mess with data reception. Thanks

This ROM is completely AOSP based....NOT CM BASED AT ALL...But still contains some great features (many of which are found in CM) like cLock, volume rocker wake, etc. But since it uses the AOSP kernel you should get great reception. Also the ROM supports WiFi calling, Band 12 LTE on t-mobile, and full VoLTE!

Well don't know what it is then but every phone I have had and I've had many doesn't run as well on CM. Again I'm in a poor signal area maybe that has something to do with it. Not that it means that much but even in strong signal area download speeds are less.

Were any of the other devices Nexus devices? If not the degradation in signal was due to non open source ril.

The CM kernel for now is the same one used on AOSP. Later down the line they may go the caf route, which is what they did for the N5. In fact, if you go on the CM download page you can find two Nexus 5 downloads: hammerhead and hammerheadcaf, the first works with AOSP kernel, the second doesn't.

Only partially true...I am using an unmodifed aosp kernel...the kernel cm uses has multiple changes made to it. I am not 100% sure any of those commits cause data issues, but it is quite possible.

Ya like I said not sure why but has just been my experience. I'm on Verizon to so maybe that's a factor. I can't wait for Fi to get here if it ever does so I can just try GSM to see if it makes any difference.
Do we need to flash vendor?

Shawn, does your rom have proper tweaks for layers so that text on ambient display is visible? On this rom I'm on currently when I have a layer applied it makes the ambient text black making it impossible to read. It also has this. http://i.imgur.com/tFkwcYm.png
Thanks.
