[Q] external sd reboot problem - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

hey guys.. so my note II is doing something ive never experienced before. the external sd card is "frozen". i dkn what else to call it. it will work fine but any time my phone reboots it returns to its previous state. it will lose any files i have downloaded or created, and it will put back the files that i deleted. it is stuck in this weird stage.
i tried formatting my sd card through the settings, and it wouldnt format. i deleted all the files through "my files" and that worked. but when i restarted my phone all my files were back! so weird
i even tried wiping the external sd card in recovery and every time it would fail
has anyone ever experienced this? does anyone have a solution?
thanks,
Daniel

[Q] Mounting Internal SD Card Help

I'm not able to get the Internal SD card to mount after installing the pre-beta cyanogenmod 7. Is there some setting I'm missing or something that I need to do in particular?
Prior to install I was on the alien build and everything worked fine. Now when I go to the root directory using RootExplorer it says 'the sd card is not currently mounted'.
I've had my atrix for a while and i'm not a complete noob, just not an avid poster. Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: I have checked the storage menu and i do have 1.17GB of free space.
It can be found under /mnt/emmc. Unfortunately, I have to inform you for future reference that this is the wrong forum for such a question. Q and A exists for a reason, but I hope I helped.

Thanks for the help. I found that but how do I get, for example, Rom Manager or other applications to recognize that location?
Mr Clown, My apologies for posting in the wrong section.

+1 wondering the same
i would also like to know, as i have only a class 1 microsd card and it creates wakeup lag. if i take it out, there is no wakeup lag but my phone wont recognize the internal storage.
I think it varies by application. Some will let you browse there and set it as a default directory for things, but many will not. I have just gotten used to having duplicates of random stuff for now :S I think it is pretty unfortunate, but it is what it is.
Maybe someone will develop something like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034939
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/20724-nook-color-sdcard-and-emmc-swap/
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/27030-questions-on-5gb-emmc-just-hacked-nc/
That's for the Nook, but I can't see why someone couldn't do that for the Atrix. However, I would imagine it won't be our own CM7 team because their task is to port CM7, and thus they are following the CM standards.
I have this problem too, i dont hae a external SD Card
im used to the internal 16 gb as my memory
now iwth CM7 , the phone is lost, browsr wont download, titanium wont find the sd card, nothing is working
so is an EXTERNAL sd card a pre-requisite for CM7, i never knew this..
and if so, what does CM7 do with the huge internal memory if it saves everything to the external (atleast thats where apps see it)

[Q] Can't install/update apps on 10.1v (3.0.1)

Hi guys,
I can't install or update apps anymore via the market. This has happened once before, I cleared the market cache with no luck and ended up resetting the device. Now it's happened again, and I'm wondering if there isn't an issue with the internal SD card. The firstntime the SD card was reading as -.04238472mb or something and I haven't seen anyone else report this as an issue on 3.0.1.
I'm holding out for the 3.2 update vodafone just announced, hoping that may fix it? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

[Q] How to leave the SDCARD (not talking about the external_s) factory clean??

Hi all
After installing a few hundreds of apps I find my phone (SGS2) is full of crap. Is there any way to leave the internal sdcard (not talking about the external_sd) as it came from factory? I tried with a factory data reset and I still see all the folders the apps created :-( Maybe rooting and installing some ROMs is not helping...
Please, help!
Thanks in advance to the great community

Ups... sorry, Won't happen again
I am talking about what Android calls "USB storage", in case it wasn't clear. Where the apps are stored by default, when you don't have any external SD card.
Thanks

[Q] Installing apps issues

I recently noticed a few of my apps started saying "app not installed" when I tried to launch them.
So I tried to reinstall them but every time at the end of the installation the installer would say "app was not installed" and installing from the market it would say "couldn't install to USB storage or SD card".
So I tried to uninstall the apps and start from scratch but they all looked corrupted in the app list, they all started with com. and had the generic android icon.
I got rid of all these and still no luck so I checked online and there was loads of forums saying get rid of all the smdl2tmp1.asec files in /sdcard/.android_secure and /mnt/secure/asec/.
With all that done I still get the same problem
I then unmounted the SD card, backed it up, formatted it mounted it back and again same problem!!!!!
Then just as a last resort I unmounted the SD and installed the apps and they all installed and run perfectly Mounting the SD card back and trying to move apps to SD card fails! I've tried 2 good SD cards and still get this problem it's doing my head in!!!
Does anybody have an answer as I'm baffled?!
Phone is a Samsung Galaxy S2

[Q] Accidentally deleted my internal data

Hello XDA, i accidentally deleted the data stored on my internal card. I know there are photo recovery softwares out there, but the problem is it will only load if the device has a valid drive address, for example usb mass storage mode. But i dont believe that exist for note 2. I know there are mods to make external mass storage device, but i need internal. I lost all of my christmas pictures and videos, please help guys. Thanks in advance
Data recovery apps work best when you don't write to the drive/partition in question. Chances are some app has already done so. You wont lose all your data just what has been overwritten.
By any chance are you rooted?
You can try the following
http://www.any-data-recovery.com/topics/mobile-devices/recover-samsung-galaxy.html
I have not tried doing data recovery on an MTP device so use the above program at your own risk.
How I found that program was I typed the following into Google "data recovery software that supprts MTP"
Let me know if you manage to recovery anything.
I'm not positive but you should be able to hook up to your comp and go into the usb connection and select media device (MTB) and see if it will work for you.
And this is what it prolly will look like from the computer and phone.
