[Q] Accidentally deleted my internal data - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hello XDA, i accidentally deleted the data stored on my internal card. I know there are photo recovery softwares out there, but the problem is it will only load if the device has a valid drive address, for example usb mass storage mode. But i dont believe that exist for note 2. I know there are mods to make external mass storage device, but i need internal. I lost all of my christmas pictures and videos, please help guys. Thanks in advance

Data recovery apps work best when you don't write to the drive/partition in question. Chances are some app has already done so. You wont lose all your data just what has been overwritten.
By any chance are you rooted?
You can try the following
http://www.any-data-recovery.com/topics/mobile-devices/recover-samsung-galaxy.html
I have not tried doing data recovery on an MTP device so use the above program at your own risk.
How I found that program was I typed the following into Google "data recovery software that supprts MTP"
Let me know if you manage to recovery anything.

I'm not positive but you should be able to hook up to your comp and go into the usb connection and select media device (MTB) and see if it will work for you.

And this is what it prolly will look like from the computer and phone.

[Q] How to leave the SDCARD (not talking about the external_s) factory clean??

Hi all
After installing a few hundreds of apps I find my phone (SGS2) is full of crap. Is there any way to leave the internal sdcard (not talking about the external_sd) as it came from factory? I tried with a factory data reset and I still see all the folders the apps created :-( Maybe rooting and installing some ROMs is not helping...
Please, help!
Thanks in advance to the great community

Ups... sorry, Won't happen again
I am talking about what Android calls "USB storage", in case it wasn't clear. Where the apps are stored by default, when you don't have any external SD card.
Thanks

how will i know that my data has come back ?
I would start thinking of a plan B or C for recreating that file, because as of right now there's no way to recover anything from the internal SD when the EU message hits. You'll just have to keep up hope that someone is able to work miracle with that parituclar bug/error eventually.

Some people have reported being able to see both of their sd cards when connected to a pc with usb cable. I'm sure you have tried that already. If you can't see the contents through the computer then you most likely have lost the information forever, unfortunately. For future reference, ALWAYS backup your phone's sd card to your pc, both internal and external. If something goes wrong you can simply copy and paste back onto your phone, if you have a working storage device on the phone anyway.

[Q] Internal Storage Corrupted

Hi all
I have a Fujitsu ARROWS X F-05D, which running Android 2.3.5. It has 4GB internal storage and supports microSD card.
I tried to format the phone’s internal storage through Windows 7, the operation was failed during the formatting process. After that, I cannot access either the phone’s internal storage or micorSD card. Both of them show “Unavailable” under Settings  Storage [Built-in storage] and [SD card]. The [Delete data in built-in storage], [Mount SD card] and [Erase SD card] were dimmed. I had performed a phone hard reset but the problem persists.
If I connect the phone with PC, windows can recognize there has USB mass storage attached and assigns two drive letters accordingly. However, if I want to access either of them, windows will ask to insert a storage media. In addition, the phone will not prompt to ask user to confirm connect the phone as a USB mass storage.
Without external storage, most apps cannot be functioned normally or simply can’t install at all. Could anyone please kindly advise how to fix it?
Regards,
Boy

Hi Jiffer,
Reflash a stock rom is a reasonable try. However, my phone is an unpopular model outside Japan, and I don't know Japanese to looking for help in Japanese forum. As such, I am unable to obtain either stock rom or custom rom for a try.
As a turnaround, I want to know how to locate the phone's internal storage and how to format it through adb.

Thats what Im here for
Was a Solution ever found this problem? I have the exact same issue.
Also reflashing the rom with a stock is not an option, as it requires the internal memory to do so.

I did solve the problem at last but unfortunately forget how to fix it since my handset was damaged by water linkage after a very short period.
I only remember the problem lies on the corruption of partition table. I replaced a file (sorry, forget what file again!) through adb. After reboot, the system prompts me something wrong in the partition table and asks me to format internal storage, after that. The device resumes normal.

is there any way to UNDO this operation?? I mean can we UNFORMATthe internal storage ???
really need your advices and solutions

Yes solution is simple.
Go back in time.
Backup data like any sane person would have done.
If your files were that important why didnt you do simple things like make backups to your PC or even just via dropbox app that automatically uploads photo's via wifi?
Try a partition recovery software.
If you cant fix I have no sympathy since its easy to make backups of needed data. No excuse really.

I did give you expert advice. I am an expert in backing up my data in case of device problem or if I somehow decide to format my card.
As I said earlier try a partition recovery software.
Expert Advice:
Follow XDA rule #1 and use search. We have many topics about users formatting cards and then needing to recover data. This is a non-device specific topic so search whole site or even google.
Well you coud try Testdisk and Photorec
the site is cgsecurity
Or option 2 try recuva with deep scan enabled, also the option to scan for lost or damaged files should be turned on.

- Connect your phone trough USB cable and activate mass storage mode
- Depending on what files are lost (probably photos and videos), look for format recover software (Like recovery my files)
- Use it on mounted SD card
PS:
If you have used some part of your internal sd card after formatting, you probably lost some files forever, if you haven't yet, DON'T USE IT BEFORE RECOVERY !!

Give some app suggestions is fine. Once we have those, we know the key terms to search for.
I've tried cg-security apps, they're made for Windows/Linux/BSD etc, but won't install on android.
I tried aidfile installed on Windows but it won't detect the phone internal storage either.
I have all my photos.
I lost a database document that is 760mb. Most backupsoftware (Skydrive, Asus Webstorage, DropBox etc) won't upload it.
I sent the phone for warranty and they formatted my phone, and lost that document. I just need that back. It is in internal storage, there is no sd card on this android.
Try Recuva but don't get your hopes up. Not likely to work. If they've formatted the phone, it's gone. Android isn't like Windoze where 'files aren't really deleted'.
Edit - Also, beware of some (all ?) of the 'data recovery' apps on Google Play. Many (certainly the several I've tried) of the non-paid versions will go through their process of checking, and tell you that your file can be recovered, but you need to get the paid version of the app. You pay for the app, and then find they tell you the file recovers OK (funny about that, right ?) but is 'corrupted' (which is basically bull****, the file can't be recovered at all, but you paid for the app so they have to give you something, right ?) & useless. This scenario is highly likely in the case of a file like the one you're talking about if you do get suckered in by those apps.

You can't undo the formatted, but the data was not really gone, you still can use some data recovery tool to recover your photos.
You can try this guide about how to recover photos from Samsung Galaxy S II.
I recommend you backup your photos with Google Photos, it has 15GB free storage, I think it's enough for your 1 year's photos.

No Internal Storage detected

Hi guys
I'm a noob in all of this... Not sure what went wrong, as I initially installed and rooted my Moto Z just fine. Installed custom ROMs no problem. However, after flashing another rom, I can't seem to pick up my internal storage on my device.
My PC recognises it and I can copy files over fine, but when I look in my file manager nothing. When I click show internal storage, there is nothing.
In TWRP, I can mount the internal storage, but I notice that I no longer see the Internal option under partitions. So booting into a rom is fine, but downloading anything from a browser tells me no SD card found(don't have an sd card in my phone) and no space available. It's as if it just doesn't recognise my internal storage , and is pointing to my SD card which I don't have one in.
Am I missing something here, as I just can't figure this out.
Thanks
