If you have root, you can use FolderMount: Click here to view. I've been using it for games, and well i've over 20GB in games now lol.

I'm new to Streak and StreakDroid 1.9 is my first mod. I found it strange that there is no apps2sd or equivalent on this mod. How do I move all my apps to sd?
Barely 20% apps suppport it by default. Rooting is all about choice, and without apps2sd, its quiet difficult.
Either download the free app or just go into settings -> applications and select whatever app you want to move. Once you select it you will have the option to move to SD card.

why would you really want to move your apps to your sd card.
They become unresponsive after that. Why not just change your internal card. Or not even that, who in the world is gonna install 2 gigs worth of apps?

Really? I've 100+ apps and you are telling me I dont need them?
When did sd card go slow? If you have good sd card with sd speed increase app, it outperforms internal flash. Don't live with FUDs.

Hi,
Don't move your data games in mnt/extSdCard, it is not supported by many games and apps (this is mainly known as "*** to SD, like many apps that do this).
Like a game, an app like Beautifull Widget don't move the data to your external storage: it will not work! The app himself is ok but the "data" that the widget needs is unable to "detect" the data needed if it's in the external storage... The game/app must be developed to support it.
Ok, maybe I'm not really clear :silly:

Pretty much this, you can use Titanium Backup to move your games to external storage if you want to, but you need to have root access first.
You can use mode that swaps internal with external.
if i move my game to external using titanium, do my save game exist? or it still detect when the game launch?
thanks for the hints anyways

You can actually, I don't know how well it works but it is indeed a feature in it.

I'm not sure. As I said before I haven't exactly used this feature at all, but data for apps is saved in a different location than where the apps are installed so I guess it would be alright.

That is not moving game data from android data folder to external sd ..its just for apps that dont support app2sd ..it copyes from device to internal sd card not external.
I have the Verizon Note2, 64GB SD Card, rooted and bootloader unlocked. I do have 300+ apps downloaded currently. When trying to install another one just now from sd card- an .apk file- I had a popup saying I was Out Of Space. I know it is trying to install it to the phone's internal memory, which it thinks is full.
Is it full, and do I really need to remove some other apps? I know JB doesn't let us move the apps from internal to sd, so what other options are there? I am not comfortable altering the framework- nor do I know how- to move the apps to sd. Can I move them with Rom Toolbox Pro?
Thanks!

You can't move apps to SD that way. You can do a swap though. The phone would read your external card as internal and vice versa. I am pretty close to doing this myself as I am fighting for app space.

300 apps? Wow, thats a ton. I have maybe 20-25. I'm sure I am on the low side.
unlocked Note2 and Tapatalk
Does anyone get the low memory pop up after doing the internal external swap yet have plenty of space still available ?

So how do you do the internal/external swap? Link to info please?
How come the sd card shows up as sdcard1 under storage instead of just as the primary for sdcard folder in file explorer and why is it that when trying to save downloads from say next browser the external sd is not an accessible option?
External memory cards are NOT primary, the internal flash memory is primary. Android support for external memory is minimal, even games install to internal memory.

You'll have to manually move your files to the external card, that's what I normally do.

File explorer apps or a PC. With a computer it's easier to move files obviously.
However I wasn't referring to game files or apps, because those only check the internal card. If you have music or pics, docs, etc, those can be moved to external manually.

Well, once I readed that you can make the phone think that the location of your games folder is located on the mSD but I lost the info, if I'm not wrong, they used a console command, but I don't know the command he was using.
The thing is that this phone is like a small console, but games take a lot of space, and I use the internal storage of the phone for more important stuff like maps and documents and having such a big card it will be great if you could save games in external storage.
Well, any way thanks thanks again for the replay
