DPI and maps - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I changed my DPI to 360 and everything seems to be working fine except for maps. For some reason Maps keeps on auto updating to the 'Web' version which is really ugly and doesn't work as well. I tried using the xposed framework and setting it to 480 but I still have the same issue. Any idea?

Did you change anything in your build.prop ?

make sure you didn't change your lcd density (resolution). If so, set it back to 240. i have my scaled back to 220 so all the text and icons are small, but the majority of apps are "incompatible" with my device. so whenever i want to download something, i have to restore back to 240 to download.

Changed dpi 182, android.phone crash

I'm currently running glitched aokp b34. When I change the dpi to 182, the phone crashes every time someone calls in or when I call out. However, everything is fine when on stock dpi. Why does this happen and how would I fix this problem?
nobody changes their dpi to 182?
I would guess that phone.apk doesn't support that dpi.

Dpi (solved)

Hey guys
I seem to have a problem
I used dpi changer utility to change my dpi to 200 and began to notice that many apps weren't turning up in the app store so I restored it back to 219 and still nothing.
Any idea what's going on?
All help and input greatly appreciated

wel revert back 2 std 240 dpi if ur on stock official rom else try some custom roms which will work at lower dpi than 240
ps- check with 184 dpi or 220 dpi and see before reverting 2 std 240dpi

Restore the DPI back to 240, or you can use 160 for the tablet version of apps, and clear the data for Google Play. You should be able to see the apps again, then just go back to whatever DPI you wanted in the first place.
play store will work good only with eithe 160 or 240 dpi. if you want working market with anyother dpi a fixed market for multiple dpi value is available in net, search for that.
Okay this has been solved.
I used lcd density Modded pro to reset the dpi, reboot, clear the market and reboot once more. All done.
Thanks to everyone that helped

Changing DPI on i9300

Just upgraded from SlimICS rom on my i9100 (great rom btw), to Omega 4.1 on my new i9300.... Slim had ASS which permitted DPI changing.... For my i9300 I tried DPI changer but all I got was a corrupted build.prop and lots of headaches in starting with odin from square 1.
Has anyone successfully changed DPI on Omega or other for the i9300?
Thanks

Hi has anyone been able to change dpi?

I've changed it manually by editing build.prop. Omega 4.1

As mentioned you can manually change it by editing the build.prop via root explorer or something similar!

S Memo crashes, don't know about others but this makes it a no go for me.
Changed to 240 using rom toolbox lite - Dialer does not scale, rest is good, i dont use much of the samsung bloatware.
Chrome does not work, neither does TouchWiz, Using Nova Launcher.
240 DPI works good, apart from the non scaling dialer all looks good. 240 DPI is also safe to avoid market incompatibilities problem

SwiftKey 4 Tablet on CM10.1

EDIT: Please disregard this. After a few days im still having trouble. Oh well.
EDIT 2:Hashcode, my bad.
Good afternoon all, not sure if anybody is having minor issues with SwiftKey 4 tablet edition while using Hashcode's cm10.1 rom but I seem to have found something of a a solution. For me, while trying to use SwiftKey I found that it wasn't very unreliable. Sometimes the keyboard wouldn't show up at all. I also struggled to get it to run through the entire setup process. SwiftKey would force close as soon as it got to the "enable flow" selection. Here's what worked. I loaded up Pimp My Rom and changed the density from 240dpi to 213dpi. This is the density of the nexus tablet. It isn't completely flawless. All works very well in portrait mode but suffers from the disappearing act but overall it works pretty great. I actually typed the bulk of this message using flow. Just thought I'd pass it on. Nothing staggering but maybe helpful to a few.
Peace,
Ray
