Since Jellybean 4.1, Google added expanded notifications.
I wanna know how to manually add options to expanded notifications. I basically wanna do this with the default email app.
I want a quick option to move an email to a particular folder. Moving emails is available within the app, I just wanna port it to be a part of the expanded notifications.
Can anyone help me on this?
Thanks.
Anyone?
I'm not a dev but you can Google how to make those expandable notifications and decompile the app with apktool and change the app... That's an option

Thanks for the suggestion.
That was the first thing I did but the methods I got were by modifying to the code, and that's not possible to edit by just decompiling the APK.
But I know it's possible by just decompilation because many ROMs used custom Gapps with manually added expanded notification options.
So anyone?

It's possible but it can't be done by non developpers. I mean, you have to configure theme settings in android files to do what you want.
Anyway there are available themes on xda that add some functionality to the status toggles, you could look around. For example, the theme I'm using has 9 toggles on the status bar.
EDIT: I found this app.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1037817
It doesn't change the toggles that come in the notification bar (as I said you have to mess with android files for this) but it can make launcher's in the notiications panel. It looks pretty cool, maybe you should try it.
I've been looking for a way to have power controls in the notification (slide/pull down thingy?) the SGS2 way.
An app, free on gplay, called Notification Toggle, NT, by a dev J4velin did the trick; I am using it and it's great.
Not only does it let you select from a variety of toggles, but it also offers to include shortcuts up there. Some toggles (Gps) require that you set it as a system app, thus require root, but most of the power controls don't. And you can also customize the toggle icons and such.
Naturally, it has to be running in the background and it's got a footprint of 8+ mb.
I notice some devs on this forum have come up with a flashable mod for that as well. But as I think it's only for deodexed ROMs. Anyways, it's always nice to have more options.
in my opinion widgetsoid its perfect - but pooup is terrible;/
so i us for few weeks notification toggle and icons from widgetsoid
It sounds like this, which we already have:

edit: re-read and understood that OP is trying to introduce this app that works the same way without flashing.

Notification Toggle give me only 2 toggles, is there a way to select more options?
Or is this only via the payed app?
think I know what you mean
When you go to the next view in the app, the one titled Notifications, tick the "1st notification" and then LONG PRESS on it. This will allow you to SELECt the TOGGLES that the FIRST ARRAY OF Buttons in the NOTIFICATION tray will host.
I hope that helped
Merci!
Hey,
I'm using an HTC Evo 3D (rooted) with the stock rom and the Sense UI and I'm editing the images in SystemUI, Framework-res, and Htcresourses apks. I'm doing this as both a learning process and because I want to have better control over what I change than by using uot or one of the market apps.
The only problem is that I want to edit the background of the pulldown list, but I can't seem to find the image associated with it.
Does anyone know the name and location of the image that controls the pulldown list?
Any help, tips or pointers will be great.
thanks

HI, I would like to ask if someone know in which file are stored shortcuts to Qslide apps which are in status bar. I want add some apps from G2 (which support Qslide) to this bar.

Well, on my p768g, when I was on stock, all I had to do was to pull down my notifications area, and scroll that ribbon that holds the QSlide apps all the way to the right, the last icon was the settings option, there you could add/remove apps that supported QSlide.
Hope that helps!
Id test it right now but Im rolling Resurrection Remix ROM and it rocks c:

you must compile qslide.apk in framework, just like compile Settings.apk to add apps on settings menu...
