Hi everyone, I recently bought a springboard s7-303u on ebay and the tablet works great. I wanted to start flashing roms to the device so I installed TWRP. When I try perform a backup to sd card using TWRP it always gets stuck after it finishes backing up the system partition. I have a similar problem with cwm as well. Trying to flash a zip from a sd card results in the device getting stuck as well. The device is currently running the stock honeycomb OS. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be, or have any suggestions. Any help would be appreciated. BTW I used the "Auto_recovery_installer_for_huawei_mediapad" that is posted in the development section to install twrp and cwm.

Can anyone help me to get this pls! Tittle says it all
Thanks
I'm needing the same thing, but can't post on CWM thread yet.
I sort of found a fix to this.
I used a generic version of CWM that doesn't have a kernel in the recovery.img. I have to format internal sd manually after first boot, then CWM works perfectly after that.
I have CWM 5.8.2.0 on my prime. I tried flashing the Energy rom (thread here)from a CM rom. CWM said that the rom flashed successfully but since that reboot, the prime only boots into CWM. I have tried flashing to other roms and even restoring to a backup I made before the flash to the Energy rom, but nothing has helped.
I have read many threads on possible ways to resolve the bootloop, but my computer is not recognizing the prime while it is in CWM and CWM 5.8.2.0 does not support external memory, so I cannot throw any more files on the device.
Please help me move some files onto my prime.
In my kindest words, read here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25234629 Twrp is what we use...
Breast regards.... my God, Android 4.2 Keyboard..... lol
Inserted 20ยข for the first three minutes
I would love to flash TWRP but I cannot get any files on my prime as I stated in the OP. The version of CWM I have does not support the external memory and the device is not recognized in adb. adb is set up correctly because it works with my phone and normally with my prime. I am looking for solutions as to how to move on from where I am.
Hi Guys, and thank you in advance for reading this post, I have looked in several places and cannot find a solution. When I boot into recovery, there is no option to backup and restore, I am rooted on Stock Android 4.2.2. Baseband: VRUAMDK. I tried switching out SD cards from my extFAT 64GB card to a FAT32 GB card, no go, I am also running into the same exact issue on my galaxy note 8.0. If anyone could help me out I would highly appreciate it! Thank you in advance! I really want to try a different ROM but want to perform a nandroid backup just in case. Thanks!

Which custom recovery are you running?

I downloaded ROM manager because I was under the assumption that I was running CWM. I'm still a newbie so please excuse my ignorance. I did root using Odin.

Did you install a custom recovery? Stock recovery doesn't allow you to make nandroid backups or flash roms via recovery. If rooted you could try latest installing recovery via Rom manager. Or flash a custom recovery via odin.

Thanks for the response, I tried installing CWM via rom manager but it doesn't seem to be working at all, tried several times and nothing, how can I install via Odin? I cannot find instructions on doing this for the Verizon Galaxy S4 (SCH-I545) I still have not accepted the OTA update from Verizon so I am still fully rooted and running stock android version 4.2.2
TWRP seems to be the go to recovery for the S4 on Verizon
I think I finally have it, and contrary of what I read it seems to be working on my 64GB exFAT SD card. I will let you know shortly if it backed everything up
The problem was CWM wouldn't install so I went here teamw.in/project/twrp2/181 and just downloaded GooManager and read their instructions: Tap menu then hit Install OpenRecoveryScript. Tap Yes. Verify that the filename displays your device's code name and hit Yes. The file will download and your device will install the recovery automatically.
I then booted into recovery and BAM! there was the backup option, I have 10GB to backup so I needed it to backup on my SD card, thought it would be a problem since I read that it wasn't possible to perform a nandroid backup on a 64GB SD formatted as exFAT but it seems to be working, will update once complete, it might take a while to backup all that data
Hello everyone,
I encountered one problem after installing latest Renovate ICE ROM. [v13.0] on my exynos galaxy s8. After flashing rom using twrp recovery, I found camera mod and dual speakers mod for my phone and wanted to try them out, but unfortunately I can't mount internal storage. I can't move files in recovery mode from pc, it gives error. So if anyone knows how to solve this problem without wiping everything out, will be appreciated. Otherwise I'm not interested because I don't want to lose any data stored on phone.
From the 3.1.0 version of TWRP I have accidentally deleted everything, including my phone's OS. Thus when I reboot from twrp, it says no OS installed. I have downloaded several stock roms for my phone (Samsung Galaxy Grand Max SMG-720N0) When I install them with twrp, I always get invalid zip file. I do not have a backup on my sd card, so if anyone has a backup, or has the same phone, I am sincerely and desperately asking your aid to upload a restore version of a freshly formatted rom. I am stumped as to what else I can do.
Try looking up rom for your device at SamMobile & use odin to reload your OS
