Allright guys help me out so maybe around a week ago i guess my thunderbolt wouldnt hold a charge i would charge it and a screen would tell me that the phone is using too much power and to turn it off so i did
I come back and its dead dead even tho its been on the charger for a couple hours
i tried another battery and it tries to charge it the amber light stays solid for a couple minutes and then it turns off completely
Ive tried diffrent chargers, batteries, cables ,outlets with no luck any advice ?
Could this be the end for my old Thundy
Try a different cable maybe. If that doesn't work then charge the phone while it is off or in recovery.

I tried a different cable and i tried charging it in recovery and off too the only thing that happenes is that the amber light will turn on stay solid and then turn off
Hmmm... Have you tried another charging block? Its possible the base isn't any good. If none of that works then you probably have a broken charge port.

My friend got the razr 2 days ago ans this morning it didn't want to turn on. I did the power and volume up and got it to start to boot but then it just shut down. Any ideas what could be wrong

Is this a failed attempt at a troll, or are you being serious?
Yeah battery died. Ask for a razr replacement.
He took it back to verizon and they replaced the phone. Kinda weird that it just would not respond. I got it to start to boot but then it just turned off. After that nothing even after letting it charge for a couple hours it was just dead.

had that issue myself, battery dead after a week... another razr died after 2 weeks..
I know this is gonna seem lame, but I thought all micro USB cables are created equal, but they aren't. I was using my Skyrocket micro USB charger to charge the RAZR, and it wouldn't charge. When I plugged in the one that came with the RAZR, it charged right up. Not sure if you're using a different cable, but its worth a shot...

White light on
hi all.
I have a razr xt910 as well that wont turn on either. When I plug it in i get a white light at the top left of the screen.
did anyone else experience this?
The white light meens that it's pluged in via USB, but the battery is too low to boot. fix by pluging it in to the wall.
If you have droped data go here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1520970
My wifes dis the same thing with the white light. Used the wallcharger and it booted up in 15

How was the battery level? Why would he try to root it with for metro pcs? Explain more and I'll see what I or other members can do.

Everything was working fine...i know the battery is completely dead but like i said when i plug it in the charger the red light comes on for about 5 seconds then it goes off and wont come on again. He was gonna put a ROM on it and root it but i have to get it flashed to the metro network. He put it on mobilego i guess to backup my info but he had it on other programs, told me i needed it flashed first then gave it back to me.its been on the charger for about 2 hrs now and no charge still
Maybe he bricked it?

Did it boot yet? For me, if the battery dies, I have to pull it out, put it back and let it charge for at least 10 minutes before it starts up again.

Pull battery for a few put back in then charge it on a wall charger while its still off for 30mins...Mobilego is sync software so unless he actually went through the process of going into recovery etc etc then chances are its the battery

I would like to know if you can access recovery with the phone without a battery but with the charger on.
To access the boot menu, make sure the phone is off and press pwr + vol down. If you can access the recovery menu then there is still hope.

press the camera button + power button.
Sounds like battery issues... The phone thinks the battery is dead... Pull the battery out and leave it for about 20 mins or so, throw it back in, don't power it up and plug it in, let it sit for awhile(red led should stay lit) after like 20 mins turn it on

Had the same issue try plugging it into the charger for a couple mins remove the battery replace the battery plug it back in and repeat 6-7 times then hold power and volume buttons. If not leave the battery out for like an hour then try the first step. I know it sounds stupid but it worked for me. Hope it helps.

I am running Synergy on my HTC EVO 3d with the 2.6.38.6-AnthraX CDMA Sense Stock Kernel and I am having an issue with random reboots. This just started happening and I have had that ROM/Kernel for a bit.
When I plug my phone in (via the micro-usb), sometimes my device is rebooting. It happens right when I plug in the device (about 25% of the time this happens). I'm assuming it has to do with the plugging in, but haven't been able to find anything helpful in searches.
Anyone heard of this? Any fix?
Are you plugging it into the wall or a computer to charge?

The wall. I've used these chargers for a LONG time though. It happens on several different chargers too.
So last night I used my Rezound until the battery died, plugged it to the charger and ...... nothing. No led light. Nothing at all. I have heard about the charging issues with Clockwork Mod but not Amon Ra. I m S-Off running RAGE 1.5 Dev. I ordered a battery accharger and new batteries but have to wait 3 days. Any help will be appreciated.

to be honest bud this is the first time im hearing of this problem with amonRa my best aadvice is to wait for your external charger i use one my self and keep switching out batterys during the day..also if your phone is dead, i mean deaddead.. pull your battery out for about five min. then pu it back in and connect to a charger itll take about fifteen min for the led light to even come on.. then itll blink, then turn solid. you want it to be solid for at least ten min, as it needs to have at least enough power to charge..
I already tried taking it out even put he battery in the freezer for 5 min no led.....I just hate waiting.

I had this happen to me about a month ago. I pulled the battery and plugged the phone into a wall socket. The light came on, I put the battery back in and the light stayed on. It charged like normal and booted back up like normal. Hope this helps.

I had an issue running Rage 1.5, that when I plugged it in, the screen had to be on for it to start charging. After it started charging, I could turn the screen off and it was fine. It just would not start charging with the screen off.

My first Rezzy died for good several months back on AmonRa. Tried other chargers and cords to no avail, all suggestions on the forum then.
Figured it was a fried power circuit through and through, damaged via a short or power surge, something from the USB port on. Original battery was good after all and still running this second unit today.
Just cautioning to troubleshoot throughly before tossing money into other items if you wouldn't buy them otherwise. Verizon sent me overnight a CLN unit when I had the issue back in February.
Got home from work a couple of minutes ago tried booting up my Rezound again and it worked. I have no idea what in gods name happened but it works now........

I had a low battery and had been using my phone at work. I thought I had about 10% left, but looked at my phone and it was off. No, problem I have a usb cord and plug into my work computer to charge it, but no luck. The charging display doesn't come on at all. So, I tried using the same cord with the ad adapter, but same thing. When I first tried it it looked like it was trying to load up, but froze up on the first screen that comes on. So, I pulled the battery, but I am getting absolutely nothing so far. It has been on the charger for about 30 minutes now. What gives? I think I am within my 14 day period at Best buy, maybe it's a battery or phone issue. Of all the days and times it had to be today when I have plans after work, but looks like I have a date with Best Buy instead now. any ideas?
Well that was disappointing. Thankfully it was replaced without a problem. I wonder if it was from the battery dying. I tested the old battery and it powered the new one. Not sure what happened or if that's a first. I hate I lost everything on it.

Mine also accidentally made it to 0 once with no issues. Guess I'll also be a little more careful just in case.
Sorry for your loss.

I remember on my NOTE 2 once my battery died while driving. I tried to plug in my car charger and power it back up but I guess the charger wasn't providing enough juice so I let it charge for like 20 minutes and the phone powered up.
Point is if the battery is totally dead it has to charge for a bit before you can power on the phone...even with a wall charger.
