hi all.ive got a galaxy nexus and a nexus 7 both have pins on them. lately i learned that you can customise the lockrings, but you dont get a lockring when you have a pin/pattern. is it possible to have a slide to unlock first then do your pin? like on iphone?

Hi there!
I was wondering if there is an app that let's you unlock the HD2 after stand-by with drawing a pattern on screen. Like a password, but faster and very personal. Not like a vingerprint or so, but a stroke with the finger in a pre-defined way. For instance you have to draw a triangle (or something like that) on the left side to unlock the device.
Are there apps/updates like that?
Thanks!

Hi there,
I was wondering If anyone out there knows of an apps to locks the phone. Im new on this and what I'm looking for is something to replace the unlock swipe screen that came with the phone. I want something like a numeric keypad as a lock / unlock application.
Samsung Vibrant
thanks
Do you want a different option for a pattern lock?
I searched and didn't find anything. My brother has a numeric lock for his Nexus, but that's a CM feature.
I don't think they're out yet. If you find one in the market chances they won't work because of TouchWiz and you would have to be rooted.
Thanks for your quick response to my question.I am kind of new on this and yes what I want is a numeric keypad instead of a pattern.
once again thank you !!
I Love one thing about iphones..
their lockscreens, not the lockscreen but the pincode idea they have.
i don't like typing my password in and pressing OK it takes too long, i'm just trying to unlock my phone...
The Android Style one where you slide across the dots is okay, but It gives away my password and all my friends know my pass lock thing lol
Is there any way to get the same iphone thing??
Use CM7 and check the quick unlock function in the lockscreen settings in the CM settings?

Click to collapse
nah I dont like CM7... not yet atleast.
Also i want it just like the iphone thing like.. only 4 numbers, i dont want my password being 400 numbers that i'll forget a sec after i type em down.
This is most likely one of those "simple problem, complex fix" kind of questions.
On the Android Pin Lock screen, after entering the 4 digit number you have to hit OK before it unlocks. I want to remove this need. If the number I enter is correct, I do not want to have to hit OK to unlock the device. I'm not above doing some tinkering with my phone, but wouldn't know where to start. Maybe there's even an existing mod to do it? I can't be the only one who finds it annoying.
Edit: My phone is the Samsung Vibrant T959. I use 2.2 and 2.2.1 ROMs.
I know that there are other lockscreen apps, but I do not want to use any and want to stick with the stock Android one.
TL;DR - How do you remove/bypass the need for OK press on the Pin Lock?
I have the same issue with my rooted Droid Bionic 4G. Custom ROM's like Cyanogenmod 7 have this fixed in their versions...anyone have the answer?
Hi,
I did search for lockscreens and didn't find anything close to what i am looking for. I used to use a Jailbroken iPhone and one of the only things I miss is this lockscreen system I had in place;
If I wanted to lock the screen and not have to put in a pin number to open it every time I just pressed the sleep button. However if I wanted it to have pin lock I just held the sleep button for a second.
It's so simple and saves so much time.
So I suppose if I had the standard lockscreen (I am Note 3) with a pin unlock, and the alternative being WidgetLocker (with no pin unlock) then i could just switch between the two. If that's possible, then it would just be a question of assigning widgetlocker to a button/gesture.
Do you know of anyway to achieve what I want?
Thanks, Chris
