Does the apps you have on an S2 Google market show up on S4? E.G I have bought widget locker will it be free on the S4 on do I have to buy it again?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
You should be able to 'attach' your new device to your Google a/c as well, and should be able to install any apps you've paid for as long as they're compatible with the S4.
yes they are compatible and you don't have to re-buy them
if having problems - always ask the developers of the app

Hey guys so I will be switching from iPhone 4 which I owned for a year to the galaxy. I have a real quick question I always synced my contact using itunes to GMAIL.com on the startup will I be able to somehow sync those contacts from gmail to the galaxy?
pretty much that is only my one question but if you guys could tell me what apps are useful and so on I would apperciate. Thanks !
Yes
Apps for what specifically? Anything?

Yes, thats the first thing android provides is syncing with GOOGLE services. It syncs contacts from your phone and you wont have to use itunes to update contacts.
It does it automatically

Well the only thing I will miss about the iphone is the keyboard it was jailbroken as well but I won't do that with galaxy. Is there anyway without rooting to install apps that I download to my SD card for example?
and any good keyboard or is the standard one just fine?
Yes, there is a box in settings that, once ticked, will let you install apps from outside sources, like installous, but much easier.
There are 2 keyboards that come with the S2, samsung and swype. The swype one is the best, samsung for some reason put a mic key instead of a comma key, which is stupid!
Personally I keep swapping between SwiftkeyX (in the Market), or 'keyboard from android 2.3' (yea weird name-also in the Market).
Enjoy!

Hi,
I have a question about paid apps. if i bought an app an it receives an update would it be free? also if I decides to clean reinstall my phone(In case of breakdown) then will the apps that i bought be free if i decide to download it again?
If you buy an app the updates will be free. And if you reset your phone you can download your bought apps for free if you use the same account.

Hi. Is there a way of removing apps listed in the my apps - all section of Google play?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
No, you can't hide or remove any previously installed app. Also you can't remove any used device, only hide it. Google will add this feature in future as They said but no-one know when it will become available.

Hey guys,
For about 5 months now, I've been unable to purchase any apps in Google Play. In fact, I can't even see paid apps, only free ones.
I've tried clearing the data and cache for Google Play. I've restored the device to factory settings using the volume down and power button several times. None of that has worked.
I've emailed Google about it, but they have been useless. The only way for me to get paid apps on my tablet is to purchase them on my phone and then download them on my tablet. Which isn't ideal as some apps are incompatible on my phone. And I've noticed there are a lot of apps incompatible with the Transformer Prime.
I live in the UK and the device is set to UK. Please can someone help, it's driving me mad!

Not a solution but you can also purchase apps on the google play web and push them to your tab.
I can't, when I go through the website, my tablet is greyed out and won't let me purchase apps on to it.
I can't even see paid apps on the website! What the hell is going on??

Create another google play account to purchase apps for your prime with?!
What about the apps I've purchased with my current Google account, can I still use them?

Things currently installed shouldnt stop working I would think.
At any rate, it was really a suggestion to narrow the problem down to the account, not your device. Then take that info to google and tell them to freaking fix it.
I'm sure you want to get your gmail etc... so you would have to switch accounts everytime you bought something. Not practical.
You could though say "Hey google, I made this new account named X, logged in with my prime and was able to add apps.
Ah, yes, that's a good idea. I will try that over the weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.

Well, I tried making another account but it's still not showing any paid apps. I'll send an email to Google, see if they can come up with a solution.
If anyone can think of anything else, please let me know.

Hi guys
I was just wondering if we can make a full list of stock and bloat apps that are safe to freeze.
I know it is not so hard to know which ones to freeze but I think it is still useful!
Thanks

I freaking love freezing AT&T's useless bloatware and a few days later I remove it. AT&T and DELL love to pack their devices with tones of **** I wonder who thinks this type of software is helpful. The reviews of the apps recommended by AT&T on Google Play are awful Nobody likes them.
I also removed LG keyboard, chrome and all the Google apps, I kept Gmail and Youtube though.
Does it have the same bloat as in 4.0.4?

Thanks.

That's what I thought.
That's not true I removed them all with root explore. All those on that list and more, just have to unlock with freegee first before deleting them.

You can remove them,at least that's what I do without any "side effects" I have been using Uninstaller Pro for years, there's pro (paid version) and the free one. Don't forget what whoamanwtf is saying and unlock with Freebee,in order for you to avoid surprises or the security error.
Be sure you are unlocked before you freeze/remove or you will get security error.

You can uninstall apps however they advice freezing over uninstalling because it has basically the same exact effect. However, with freezing, you can always unfreeze in case something is screwed up or you change your mind about an app or something.
as others said, if you are rooted and unlocked on stock jb, you can use titanium backup to uninstall all apps that have ATT in their name. i have done this and have no security errors or OS error popups.
