In addition, use Triangle Away by Chainfire (thanks to him) to reset the counter and do not restart the phone between using TriangleAway and flashing the stock firmware.

I already tried that, but my device is not rooteado nor accepts the root process.
I've been the original Software on technical assistance and yet he does not recognize the Root, simply pops up a message saying that my Android has changed and I will not be able to receive updates ...

Have you flashed stock rom via Odin??
jje

Yes, but the problem persists ...

What is the exact problem now .
rooting resetting rom counter flashing stock firmware ??
Post is very confusing .
jje

The equipment is working perfectly, but he does not accept the root procedure. When he does step by Odin all procedures, but it is not rooteado the root disappears and a message appears saying that my rom was changed.
He is not routed over the counter scoring 9 goals this root.
I am using the original ROM from Samsung.
Sorry complication, I'm using Google translator, so that it gets weird ....
Now appreciate the help.

What root have you tried others .
What phone model ???
Odin says your rom was changed ??
Original rom from Samsung in what format did you save it .

Follow root guides. You need to use cf root or cf auto root.
If you still cant manage it, Google "framaroot"

[Q] Resetting Binary Counters GT-19100G

I've a Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100G. Now, I want to replace it.
I've unrooted it.
I've bought the USB JIG for GT-19100.
Now, I used that jig to reset that counters (3 for me) but it doesn't work - It does proceed to the Download Mode but doesn't do anything.
Now, my doubts are:
WHAT THE HELL SHOULD I DO TO REPLACE IT?
Is the USB JIG is different for the G variant?
Do I need to root first?
Is there anyone with the I9100G who has successfully reset the binary counters?
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT
What to do now!
Information about my Indian I9100G:
Model Number: GT-I9100G
Android Version: 2.3.6
Phone Code: GT-I9100GLKGINU
Firmware Versions:
PDA: I9100GXWLA1
Phone: I9100DDKL1
CSC: I9100GODDKL1
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7

Its weird that the jig doesn't work. My best bet is that you should flash an ics rom and then use chainfires triangle away app to clear the binary.

I've found the solution
Thanks for trying to help me.
But for guys who are experiencing problems in resetting binary counters, here is the SOLUTION
Removing Binary Counter using USB Jig
Binary can only be removed using USB Jig which can be bought from online shop or local shop if applicable
So far only old bootloader (KJ2 and lower) can be used for removing binary binary counter
If running newer than KJ2, for example KL3 and above, you need to flash back the old bootloader for the USB Jig to work again
Normally, to use USB Jig, just turn off the phone and plug the USB jig. Done
Download the attached i9100g-reset-binary-counter.zip and extract to get tar file. Password : mahadirlab-reset-b001 (Credit to Mahadir Ahmad)
Using Odin, just replace the PDA file with this provided tar file
Do not use PIT file and start the flashing
Now you can use the USB Jig just like mentioned above

First of all, pls don start a new thread coz this belongs to General Q&A thread
1. Download the stock Firmware and Kernel

2. Download and use odin to flash it.

[Q] Question About Triangle away to rest counter

Hi,
I have some questions about Triangle Away.
My Specifics are:
Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-i9100
Android Version: 4.0.4
Band Base Version: I9100XXLQ6
Kernel Version: [email protected]#3 SMP PREEMPT Wed Aug 29 13:40:41 KST 2012
Build Version: IMM76D.XWLPX
eMMC check: Brick Bug insane chip
Triangle Away Version: 2.10
I flashed my phone with this nordic ROM: I9100XWLPX_I9100XXLQ6_I9100NEELP5_HOME.tar
Then I followed this guide to root my phone: http://technoxide.blogspot.com/2012/10/root-galaxy-s2-ics-4.0.4-xwlpx.html
With this guide i installed this firmware: PhilZ-cwm6-XWLPX-NEE-2.0.tar.md5 and then i used Samsung Quick Root.
Yesterday i read this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31310851
and I flashed my kernel with this new one: PhilZ-cwm6-XWLPX-NEE-2.7.tar.md5
My root work fine.
Now I read many threads but I don't understand if I can run Triangle Away 2.10 without problems or brick risks.
Anyone could help me?
Thank you
I have mo experience in flashing 4.0.4 but to be safe flash a stock kernel version 4.0.3.

Thank you. But if I flash a a stock kernel version 4.0.3, i keep my phone rooted?
Where I can find a stock kernel 4.0.3 for my phone?
Sorry but I'm almost noob about these procedures...
I saw a chainfire's app in the play store which removes the yellow triangle and reset the flash counter to 0.
If you are having problems in going back to stock, you can try it.

[Q] Triangle away doesnt work

I want to unroot my device, and needed to set my count to 0 with this program.
The problem is when i run it, and it reboots, i press volume up and stuff, but it doesnt change my flash count.
I have a rooted galaxy S III i9300 on stock 4.1.1, and my kernel is 3.0.31-3684283 [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Oct 19 18:17:48 KST 2012
I read that i should flash syah kernel for triangle away to work, is this the way to go?
TA does work so i suggest flash stock rom via Odin .
Run TA then factory reset .
jje
Is your flash counter showing '1' after reset or different number? If '1' that's mean it worked just sometimes if you have flashed custom recovery counter won't go to '0'. If that's the problem, try to restore stock recovery and them use Triangle Away.
By the way, did you try to change ROM to older one? Any difference?

All depend what did you use to root it, sometimes it comes with custom recovery. In my case even with stock rom and kernel I had counter '1' after reset because I had custom recovery. Flashed back the stock recovery and triangle away works like a charm - counter 0.
After all, just to make sure, I've used Kies to reflash it with the latest software to remove root and other rubbish of my phone

TriangleAway works but with only official recovery and official kernel.
If you're running a custom ROM, a custom kernel, a custom recovery, CWM, TWRP, etc, this will cause the counter to auto-reset to 1.

[Q] International S III wifi freezes after root

Hello all!
My sister has a Samsung Galaxy S3, international version and after rooting the device using the Galaxy S3 toolkit, turning off wifi from the notification bar toggle results in wifi freezing: it keeps trying to turn off wifi (and won't turn on either)... Only restarting the device "solves" the problem.
This issue never happened before rooting (and it was used for a few months unrooted and never had this problem).
Edit: Note that the device keeps working normally, only wifi freezes!! Not like some issues I've read in some threads with lockscreen frozen, etc.
Is anyone having this issue?
A few information on the device:
Model: GT-I9300
Android Version: 4.1.1
Baseband version: I9300XXDLID
Kernel Version:
3.0.31-61691
[email protected] #1
