1st: try to reboot your tablet and repeat connect to PC
2nd: Check a "USB debug" checkbox in Developer Options (DO)
If DO isn't visible - try to tap (10) a last setting in "about device"

[Q] Problems driver "USB DEBUG" Windows 7 x64

Hi!
First, sorry for my bad english...
I'd just bought a Xperia S. Installing its drievrs in "normal mode" goes ok.
But, when turning the "USB DEBUG" mode, and plugin, and connecting the phone, the message "SEMC HSUSB Device" appears in the device manager with exclamation mark. The phone is not recognized, and if I try to use the drivers for debug (from the Sony web), get the message that no drivers for that controller.
I tried a lot of things, but none goes...
It's impossible to get the device in "adb devices" list
Anyone can help me?
Thanks in advance.
Install PC Companion, it has all the drivers you need.
PC Companion already installed ok (in normal mode, no problems). Only in "USB DEBUG" mode is wrong.
tried restarting phone. hard reset.
Please check you are using correct driver.

There is no driver. PC Companion doesn't detect the phone in "USB DEBUG" mode, and when "SEMC HSUSB Device" appears, no drive is installed (if I try the official Sony drivers for Debug in a folder, the Windows responds that no driver in this location.
I've tried in an old computer (Windows XP SP3) and no driver problem, but the phone doesn't appear when "adb devices".
This is crazy!
PPD: Tested in another Windows XP SP3, and worked!!!! It's a strange driver issue...
Disconnect phone.
Remove all XS Drivers.
Reinstall PCC
Then Connect phone in debug.

Tried unsuccessfully. The same problem...
PD: Another try: I've uninstalled *ALL* Sony software. With "pnputil" I've deleted *ALL* Sony drivers references in the system. Reinstalled PC Companion (last web version 2.10.065), reset, installed phone in "normal" mode. All ok. Reset, put phone in "USB DEBUG" mode. Plugin. PC Companion search for drivers an *ERROR* (as usual): "SEMC HSUSB Device" appears in the device manager with exclamation mark. Tried to update with the Sony web drivers. A message says that already the best drivers.
Run out of ideas to continue.
I think this is problems with your PC.
Try reinstall windows 7 to small partition (20 GB) if really need USB DEBUG MODE

Searching with google, and a lot of people with the same problem... It's a Sony fault!

[Q] HELP! SIII At&t NOT connecting to Win 7 x64

Hi Guys,
Recently got the AT&T edition of the S3 and i'm having the hardest time connecting it to my Win7 x64 laptop. It just wont recognize it and always comes up as a "USB Device not recognized"
Using Kies I have tried a number of things..
1)Rebooting phone
2)USB Debugging on/off
3)Reinstalling drivers "SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_1.5.4.0.exe and/or ATT_I747_GSIII_Samsung_USB_Driver_v1_4_6_0.exe"
4) Clear Cache from Phone
5) Restart pc x numerous times
Every time I connect the USB cable on the phone it says "Connected as a media device" I checked PhoneUtil via *#7284# and under Qualcomm USB settings it has MTP checked, should it say something else?
I have no idea what to do next but to maybe mount a Windows 7 x32bit VirtualMachine and try my luck there... Any help would be great!
Also, under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\USB Drivers\" which is the name of the exact *.inf file for the driver?
Hi there,
I have the same problem, but on the UK SGS3.
What ALL have you done to your phone since you got it?
Rooted, custom rom, backed up efs etc ?

[Q] USB Device failed to recognise !!

I unpacked my new Xperia S and while connecting it to my pc, when i plugin the usb cable, it says "USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNISED"....
I checked it with all the usb ports of my pc....pls help
Is there any driver that i m missing on my pc?
Unplug your phone, then plug it in again and you should get a popup to "install PC companion" on your phone screen, select yes and install to your PC, after this it will recognize the phone as drivers will be installed.
This fails restart your PC and try above again.

Mate 10 usb MTP issue

Hello,
I've just update my Mate 10 to .136 but since this update, i can't connect my phone to my computer by USB MTP like before with .135
When i connect, i can see the hisuite drive.
The only way to transfer file is to install hisuite
I'm on Windows 7. I also try on a Windows 10 and i go to the hidden menu to change setting to google mode, manufactuer mode or hisuite mode but it's the same
It seems windows can't recognize the phone driver. I tried other cable and it's the same (original or other phone cable)
I also tried other phone on my computer and it work.. (lemax2 and alcatel)
Can someone help ?
thanks
Did you try with USB Debugging turned ON in Developer Settings ?
Yes, USB debugging and also HSB
On windows MTP drivers has a "!"
But i dont know why
The drivers worked with other phone and with previous firmware (OTA update)
nobody has the same problem as me ?
