I froze some apps like gallery, tunewiki and couple of other things using rom tool box pro.
I didnt find those apps in the app drawer no idea how to unfreeze. I tot perhaps flashing stock firmware might fix it. But no hope.
Pls help!

First, when you freeze an app, it becomes totally inactive and the icon WILL disappear from the app drawer......that's the whole idea.....
You freeze the app so that it becomes totally inaccessible.
Second, an app that freezes another app will usually have the ability to defrost it too..........
So open the app you used to freeze the other apps and use it to defrost them. ......simples
Edit.....are you sure you only froze them and not deleted them by mistake? ..........

I have recently been getting FCs from the Market app. I'm on stock 2. 1 ROM.
I used the uninstall updates button from the manage apps section of settings with no effect.
It takes 5-10 seconds to a force close, no dialogue box, nothing.
Any options are welcome, but I don't went to resort to a hard reset unless it is the only option.
Thanks in advance.

Only for 2.2 up, I'm stock 2.1
Can someone post their default vendor.apk so I can just reinstall it that way?
*Edit just tried flashing the new market anyway, doesn't show up anywhere.

Hi, I was having issues w my sg2 randomly rebooting so backed up my apps the wiped it and haven't had issues since but of course that leaves me app-less. Is there a way/app that I can log and see which app is rebooting my sg2?
Cheers

Easiest and best way would be to wipe everything and re-install your apps (I mean re-download and install, NOT restoring a backup since that's likely to cause FCs and reboots)
Recently I have had the same issue my phone randomly rebooting. Have noticed it only happens when I come back from work. Never happened while I was out, the only thing I can think of is reconnecting to my home wifi.
Will need to do more test to see if that is the case thou.

An app shouldn't be able to make your phone reboot (at least, a non-root app). The most common cause of random reboots is bad OC/UV settings. If you're running at stock clocks and voltages, on stock ROM/kernel, then you almost certainly have a hardware problem and should try to get a warranty repair if you can.
Dolphin HD has always been the cause in my experience.

There may be a crafty sneeky covert app causing the problem!! did you have any ninja games installed?
Well, my phone is rooted so that is a possibility (that maybe its s root app). I will focus on those

I have an external SD and have many apps on it. I was sure that all apps could move to SD. But had a random reboot.
Took out the SD card and the reboots disappear and as as soon as I put back the memory, it reoccurs again.
First I though it was the chip pushing against the battery and causing to reboot.
But after moving the apps back from SD to Phone (and many uninstalled) and reformat it, the reboots are gone.

when my phone was rooted i found it rebooted itself when i had usb debugging turned off, when i turned it back on the reboots stopped.
Possibly Dolphin Hd, if you installed it.

What do I freeze in titanium backup to get the update notification to stop popping up. I have searched for this but it seems it's different on phones. I have tried some different ones but they didn't work and I'm not exactly sure on everything I can freeze. Thanks

So, every time my phone restarts or reboots the XDA developer app that I have installed deletes itself completely off of my phone. I just performed a factory reset hoping it fixed all the issues but it hasn't. Is it the app or my phone? I don't get it. The XDA icon.stays in the folder but if I click on it all it says is the app is not installed...
Also, my ringtone and notification sounds reset after a restart...

That sounds like a phone thing. How apps and settings are getting installed and removed upon a reboot (or crash?) I'm not sure, but definitely not normal.
I got a replacement phone and both of these issues are still there. It must be the software. Can anyone install the XDA Developers app from Google Play, restart and then see if it deleted itself? There's no way I just got two buggy phones. I reported these issues to HTC.

Is it possible? I'm not rooted.
Will Mobile ODIN work?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Yes. That's what Mobile Odin is. :good:
You cannot use it, however, unless you are rooted.
Well I just got stock and Messaging isn't working everytime I reboot my S3 it says messaging stopped, I'm sure I installed the correct firmware and now there are lots of things missing.

If you want help, more details specifically related to your issue are best.
What ROM are you using? If an app is force closing, the first step would be to clear the app data in settings app management and reboot.
If you just updated, it's best to do a reset, because it clears out all the old junk left behind by the old ROM.
