Use CASUAL. If you don't know what I am talking about then read droidstyles guide:

Also this is General, not Q&A where this should be.

Framaroot 1.5.1.APK made my Prevail 2 stop responding a few seconds after start up. I recommend not using that to root a Prevail 2. I also have no idea how to fix this, so I guess I am going to have to go to the troubleshooting and fixing forums.
framaroot v 1.4.1 /1.5.1/1.9.1 Doesnt work
SPH M830
OS: 4.1.2
Build Number: MD5
worked great

Giving suggestions to root without knowing what software / Build Version of the device is a bad idea.
OP - please look in Settings / About Phone / Build Version and let us know so we can give you an informed suggestion for the safest route to take.
I used kingo root and it worked
Sorry Dont know
sorry
Try master root rooted my galaxy rush m830
I updated.... and Now after using MOST root methods, it's not letting me keep the root, and the device status is Custom. Any help or am I screwed?
thanks a lot in advance!

If its is ME7 (latest update), you have to use the new root method, which is stickied on the development thread.
Ok thanks for the quick reply! I'll take a deeper look in the development thread!
