[AT&T] in the thread heading means that this kernel is not for the international version. This kernel is for sense ROMs only.
Enjoy flashing this with Hasoon2000's toolkit

Features
-A complete lack of aptitude for kernel development (see the download link for the configuration and tweaks)
Useful Links
-Thanks to reaper90 for providing an init.d template
Thanks to maxwen for a few bits of source code and generous help, hasoon2000 for his toolkit, and nik3r for his kernel module injector and the walkthrough he gave me to use it correctly, and a few other bits of source code. Mostly thanks to HTC for releasing the source! Thanks to Notechis for the artwork above. General thanks to LLoir who appears to be helping everywhere, and mike1986 for ARHD. Thanks to the community here, and my old haunt, the Nexus S section: without them I would still be less than an almost complete idiot.

TOOLCHAIN: I'm going to do my best to stay up-to-date with the linaro toolchains courtesy of Christopher83: his thread (4.8.* are not yet compatible, use the latest 4.7.*)
v1.0 is here: http://d-h.st/7db
CoreManager.apk is here: http://d-h.st/R5l
-after rebooting, remember to open/save+exit to restore your preferences
-Please grant super-user permissions
Version 1.0 Notes
This version has the same features as the 3.4 version of my international version. You'll need to use the app above to set your preferences, and please feedback if there are problems, and feel free to ask any questions.
My kernel config
-Slide to Wake [S2W]
-Hotplugging with a user defined limit (using the above app)
-The low power core is prevented when awake, and the high-power quad-core is forbidden when the screen is off. This is to ensure performance when the screen is on, and power-saving when it is off (+ there is a two core minimum when device is awake)
-smartmax governor by maxwen
-added fast-charge to kernel (thanks maxwen)
-added BLX (thanks ezekeel)
-Available IO Schedulers: BFQ, CFQ (as default), Deadline, NOOP, SIO, ROW, and V(R).
-Miscelaneous tweaks: ticket based rwsem algorithm; Google's tcp proportion rate reduction algorithm; cifs; zcache with latest LZO; SLUB
Reserved in case I need it later
I noticed after flashing kernel looked in system /lib /modules nothing in there empty??? Everything is working far as I can see..edit I will flash it again didn't see v1.0 downloading it now to try

V1.0 has better performance to date guess that's what I'm really after.anyway..haven't been following ur thread from beginning so I may be trying to catch up is it normal to see module folder empty after flashing these kernels..also this feels smoother then all the other kernels for at&t .lol hope to get some OC soon
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda premium
It's already OC'd to 1.7GHz (it should be 1.6GHz)
GPU OC I'm still thinking about
I normally use fastboot for kernels instead of hasoon2000's toolkit (it's a great toolkit, I'm just a CLI junkie). is this just the same "fastboot flash boot hxore_v1.0_ATnT.img" then "fastboot erase cache" and call it a day?
EDIT - I went ahead and did the above and it seems to have went well, so far so good. The only weird thing I noticed is that the capacitive buttons seem to be a lot less sensitive than before. they dont register most taps. have to really ham-fist them.
Running smoothly here! Awesome will see what happens after using this for a day!

Is it just a case of needing precision when tapping the centre of the button?
Yes, fastboot, but erase cache is not necessary
After some tinkering it seems like its probably a precision issue. Like the hotspots for the buttons are a little too far north or something.

Also is there any place I can read up on some reference info for the Core Control apk? like what impact the hotplug and charging limit setting have
EDIT - did some hunting and found some descriptions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41686727&postcount=321
I am also having problems with the buttons not registering when i press them..gunna go back to the stock kernel for now til this is fixed...other than that is seems to be going great!
I'm sure I can figure out what the problem is. I'll have a look later today

I'm not sure what slide to wake is, but the capacitive buttons still has no feedback and it takes a lot of pressing to use them. But when screen is off, rapidly pressing the back & recent application capacitive buttons turns the screen on

Ah it works! Btw, the capacitive buttons works but you have to swipe across it until you feel a vibration.
Maybe this is also a similar hotspot issue related with s2w?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but do I need to flash any modules with this kernel?
I've actually flashed Zarboz's custom kernel and associated modules a while back so should I revert back to stock?

No need to worry about the modules, it's dealt with by nik3r's injector

I still can't hit the buttons like I usually do. The hotspots still seem to live a little north of where they're supposed to. I kind of have to roll my thumb up from the bottom of the screen till it registers the tap on the buttons, it's close enough to the "real" screen area that trying to hit the hotspots usually ends up hitting something on the active part of the screen instead (like the app tray or the text message icon)

The ROM is set at a default of 1.62GHZ with Ondemand governing. This provided the best match of performance and battery life.
If you want to change the clock speed or governor you can use System Tuner which is now included in the ROM. Its a great app! If you like buy the full version to support the developer. And why your at it, hit the donate button for me

Well, my beta testers told me there was no real diff. As well as the Max clock going up, I brought the sleep clock down to compensate
So when the phone is awake its a lion, when its sleeping, its a kitten. Of course this all depends on usage pattern as well.
This is a great rom and it looks good but to me cleanrom 2.5 seems to be just as responsive if not even more responsive compare to this rom, not to mention benchmarks are basically dead even between both roms even with cleanrom 2.5 being clocked at a lower speed. So am I missing something here?

Yes, your missing something... All benchmarks were notably higher with Developer edition. I took them myself as as well as beta testers. Responsiveness is vastly improved with DE.
Why you are not seeing this? I dont know. But... Let me ask you this? Can you go to about phone and tell me the exact kernel version that shows up? and what hboot are you on? And did you add anything or restore anything from back up.
Sounds great...not a fan of Sense...much rather have LauncherPro with the sense widgets...you looking for testers for a senseless version?
I dunno if I got a bad flash or something, but the Home, Menu, back, and search buttons look terrible. I think none of them light up ever except search is always half sort of on. Or is supposed to be what happens

The kernel dims the lighting on the cpacitive buttons. It should not be as you described but maybe you have some hardware variance that causes that issue?

Improved Ram
Debloated
Fast
Zip Aligned
Adfree base (Updated as of 7-13-2012)

Purpose of the ROM
I want this ROM to be as light weight as possible so users have the free memory and RAM to do what they like. I want them to have the choice to be able to customize it as heavy as they want.
Credits
- Con247. He made a recovery so you guys can flash stuff. Without him, this ROM would be useless
- 2 of my testers, *MadMoose* and blazingwolf. This would've never been possible if they didn't test it for me. Thanks guys.
- *MadMoose* for the screenshots and finding more crap to remove!
- chrispaw for his list of apps that can be removed from the Amaze.
- nitsuj17. For his APM mod
- Chainfire for his SuperSU
- HTC for making the phone
- Google for making Android
How to Install
- Unlock your bootloader and flash a recovery using my toolkit here.
- Download SuperWipe from here.
- Place the ROM and SuperWipe on your memory card.
- Make a backup just in case anything happens in the future
- Boot into Recovery and flash SuperWipe.
- Flash the ROM.
- Reboot phone

FAQs
Q - Why did you make this?
A - To allow users to customize it the way they want
Q - Will this work on other devices?
A - If you had to ask, please do not attempt to mod your phone.
Q - Why'd you name it QX?
A - I'm not a creative person. I named it after the QX series by Infiniti. I have a QX4 =D
Q - Awesome! Can I make a donation?
A - Of course! Do not feel obligated though. If you would like to make a donation, you can click the button in my signature or under my username.

I can't wait to get on board with this ROM. The only thing that has stopped me from rooting and flashing is the stupid screen discoloration issue. Hopefully when I exchange my phone in the next few weeks, the batch in stock at Best Buy won't be affected by this issue. (That, and I'm in the middle of moving. Ugh. Gets in the way of the fun stuff.) Senseless is the next best thing to AOSP, imho. I'm very, very excited. Thanks in advance, because I'm pretty sure I'm going to love this.

Can't wait to get my phone so I can try this out... patience.... lol
Maybe I'm missing something so please forgive me if this sounds silly.
I just installed QX, ran through the super wipe before flashing it. So far the biggest issue I've run into (after only 5 minutes) is in the play store there's no context menu button in the top right corner. I've tried long pressing the recent button, but matter how long i hold it it just brings up recent apps. So i have no way to access "My Apps" which kind of defeats the purpose of the playstore if you ask me.
I checked the version and it's the newest, 3.7.13, which means it's updated for ICS and should have the button on screen right?
Void4ever
The original post (see post #3) says it's not in there yet. He needs to obtain permission first. Flash the mod here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1758752
No i understand the button remap isn't included yet (i just tried it for kicks). But that doesn't change the fact that the play store is missing the context menu to access things like My Apps and Settings. That has nothing to do with a button remap does it? Obviously the playstore is updated for ICS so shouldn't there be a button in the top right corner next to the search magnifying glass with My Apps, Accounts, Settings, and Help.
Void4ever
When you run the button remap it removes that from the upper right corner. If you ran the remapUNDO and it didn't put it back in, you may want to hit up Con247 on that one.
This ROM is built from 5.0.0_r7 branch.
I want to bring the stock experience in my ROM. I believe google has done great things to make android better, but at times they always leave things out that would make the os perfect. I try to do that with my ROM. This will not be a ROM that is packed with every single feature out there. This will be a ROM that will include the necessary features to enhance the android experience. This is Minimus. Hope you guys enjoy it
Please note this is in beta. Please report any bugs. Thank you.
Features:
- Built from AOSP
- Expanded power menu
- Many "under the hood" optimizations
- Delete Screenshot
- Clear All recents
- Quick access to Quick Settings
- Navigation bar height
- Battery Percentage
- Latest Google sources
- Disabled forced encryption!
- Double tap to sleep
- And more!
To install:
1) I suggest a clean wipe coming from any 4.4.x or stock ROM.
2) Flash ROM, Gapps, Root (in this order)
3) Set everything up. (Start up might take awhile so give it time)
4) Enjoy

Double tap is enabled by default by the way. It's just not 100% like the app. Sometimes it requires more than two taps

Other than that, everything works great. Haven't tested the speakers or sound or video just yet. Using LeanKernel beta2 with this ROM right now.

Some observations, you mention double tap is enabled by default. It wasn't, it has to be activated in Settings > Display.
Also in Dev Options > Kill app back button.. when enabled, it doesnt kill the app. I believe this option wasn't in stock dev options.

There's a difference for the double tap in display settings. That's for tap to sleep. Nexus 6 had double tap to wake like the OPO or HTC one, but google disabled it. I'll look into the killing app.
Holding back does kill the app. You just need to hold onto it a little bit longer. I'll shorten it so it makes more sense with the haptic feedback.

Ahh right, its still early for me holding back does kill the app, you're right again on that. I was testing kill Settings.apk instead of another app.
Maybe you could possibly add the option that lets the user change the kill rate to be lessen or greater. I've seen this in previous ROMs as well as possibly add Double tap to wake disable/enable in Display for those who are afraid if their screen turn on since the double tap to wake doesn't check for proximity sensor
Big fan of your work, thanks!

Is there a way for us to turn off that feature permanently (persist through reboot)? I had it on my G2 and it was a terrible feature for me. Causes way too many wakeups in my pocket, leading to locked phone if I have security on lockscreen or doing all kinds of stuff in my pocket if I dont have a password to unlock. Much better to just not use the feature and then I dont get random wakeups.
other than that it looks like almost everything I want in a ROM. The one feature left that I am still looking for is being able to switch around nav buttons, then Im set. I think I can do it by hardcoding the changes I want though so its all good.

I'm looking into it. I'm gonna try to include what cm created with checking proximity when waking up device. If that doesn't work out, I might disable it by default and let users decide if they want it with the app.

When adjusting custom kernel values I recomend Faux clock.
Please be careful with voltage control.
This look awesome, I will def try after work tonight! Thanks for your hard work! I see that you have "Lots more kernel stuff", I was wondering if you were able to get the QI charging bug worked out? I believe its a kernel issue. please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks again
This is for a fact the smoothest LP rom yet, because the others are only fully smooth if you use lionheart governor which uses more battery. This rom is smooth using interactive. Also love the expanded mode per app feature, I missed it so bad.

I thought it was more of an AOSP thing. There was speculation it was related to NFC or WiFi, possibly rild?

There is no aosp builds for this device.. All but one other ROM is based on cm sorry to disappoint.
DPI
I couldn't find the file in the prop build to change the dpi, it appeared to be missing, so I created a new one and named it "ro.sf.lcd_density" and set the value at "640", then rebooted. Worked like a charm!

Isn't CM based on AOSP? Either way was just curious about battery drain bug but I enjoy the OT discussion

In Display settings there's a DPI changer baked in.. But yes that's why the bug is present because the line does not exist.. I've fixed the source so all updates will be good.
That's what I get for not reading the description well...

I've had no fc at all and I've unfortunately been using it for over an hr with my boss..lol
@$droyd$ .. I'm truly impressed and very excited about your rom!!
The only issue I've had so far is the gps icon sticking after reboot.. I know there's a fix around here somewhere though.
Many thanks and check your donation box later..

Yeah the GPS thing seems to come and go.. I think I can fix it for the next release.. I've also committed a change for the hangouts call bug to fix it in source and DPI issue..
Thanks for the input.

Alright, so let me throw another one at you (or anyone else) - I've had this issue on every aosp-based ROM I've used so far, but if you have you location set to battery saving, then flip location off and back on again, does the setting revert back to high accuracy for everyone else?
Also having an issue where things appear crazy off scale...see the upper right & left buttons, and the Swiftkey keyboard in the following shots I'm posting
Hint#
The included illusion launcher has settings that will enable you to have gesture sleep (double tap)

Thank you. That would be greatly appreciated.
enable insecure adbd and disable dm-verity
@flar2 Since we don't have root and TWRP, can you enable insecure adbd and disable dm-verity, please?
I want to mess with system partition via adb...
nice to see you already working on this kernel
wonderful! flashed to boot_a (according to boot slot displayed in bootloader). DT2W working perfectly, thanks!
Flashed 0.03 and working a treat. ^_^ Do like the sweep functions.
Hey @flar2 I checked "About" and says ElementalX-0.02 even though I flashed 0.03. This just a typo?
It's great to have you here flar2!

Nice to see you here. Htc one m7. Nexus 6 and now the pixel. Thanks for your work here on xda
I hate to spam your thread but AWESOME. Love your work on the Grouper and Flo, stoked to see you working on the Pixel XL. And I do miss tap to wake for sure. Makes me wish the fingerprint sensor was on the front of the device.
Thanks for all of your work flar - really appreciate it!!
@flar2 Do you think high brightness mode will work with the pixels? I used that constantly with my 6p

The sweep gestures (especially sweep up) are far superior to double tap. Double tap interferes with phone calls, sweep doesn't. Double tap cause accidental wakes, sweep up rarely ever does (we won't have pocket detection without a userspace comment on this device). Double tap can be unreliable, sweep up works every single time.
You rock flar2
hey flar..will you also make this available for the pixel..
