Green tint for Split second while turn the screen on - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I get a green tint for split second after pushing the power button. When the screen is off and then turned on I see my screen with green tint for a split second sometimes more. Happens every time and dont know what the hell it is? Is the screen going bad? Its like a flash of light green tint for a second then the screen returns to normal? Any body heard of this? Any fix?

change a cpl of kernel's and see for the same issue
When it's viewed at angle, it has a green tint. If you look straight onto it, it doesn't have it. It's inherent nature of SGS2's Super AMOLED Plus display. I doubt it can be tweaked by software means.
well i m on fluxi kernel.. Can i set the color calibration to remove this tint effect?

galaxy i9300 back key light problem

hi all i own the white version and i notice that when i am in a dark place and the lights of the back buttons is on its kind of splash to the screen...
since then i disable this function and turned the lights off at all time.
i just wanted to know if that a known thing or is it just a problem in my phone...
If you mean you can see light through the phone, then all white phones do that. The blue doesn't. But not sure if it goes all the way and affect the screen.

[Q] Auto white balance not working

I don't understand what's wrong with the camera of this thing. I tried stock and custom roms but always when opening the camera, the white balance is really weird, and it won't automatically correct it. The picture is purple and on the lower left corner there are 4 green spots where the picture is green.
Choosing the white balance manually fixes this but it still bugs me a lot and I would like to know if there is a fix for this.
Thanks in advance!!

Dude make only 1 thread for your problems. No need for 2.
It's image retention. I have it too but it's not a big deal. It's not permanent.
As for GPS, try rebooting your phone, or if you use a case, try without it, maybe the case is blocking the compass.

You can fix it unless you go get this fixed. if you're still in warranty, try to get it replaced.
Does backlight bleed really annoy you??? it's only visible in the dark at high brightness...

:laugh::laugh: you can try it. image retention can be solved with a blue light filter, light bleeding can only be fixed by replacing the screen. Both are common issues though with IPS LCD screens. (Notebook has it, tablet has it and phone as well)
The only thing I would really be bothered with is GPS. This made me send my G5 to LG and hopefully getting it fixed now.

Yes , BLF does solve omage retention. With that in mind, if you are rooted, use CF.Lumen, it works much better.

I had it pretty bad especially with Google maps. The only thing I can really recommend is using cf lumen and there use a color temperature of 6200k in root mode.
Edit: seen galr's post too late

You can even make the temperature back to 6600k and just change the shade to 0.102, this would solve the image retention permanently, i never had any image retention ever since.
I don't have image retention neither using blue light filter.

I've noticed that since the update to Nougat, sometimes CF.Lumen doesn't work and I need to run the app manually. Have you experienced it?
With blue screen filter from sisco mobile I still get image retention at software buttons.
I have it at 15% black color.
At the top image retention disappeared but a matter bottom no..
