So I just noticed there is a red LED on the phone, However I've only seen it enabled whilst in call (Am I the only one who hasn't noticed it before?) So anyway, I'm curious to weather someone would be willing to go about and help trying to be able to have it on when you have a notification, Or if there already is a mod? Anyway, Thanks

It's a proximity sensor,this sensor ensures that the screen turns off when you are in a call.
Oh Damn, Dissapointed Would you be able to have it on anyway? But I guess it'd kill the battery?
That Red LED is barely noticeable unless you are in complete dark!

Hello, please help!
I have my phone without power when I watch an online channel, and after that I put it on charge. After a couple of hours, I have openit and I have a "pixel multicolor screen".
The phone can connect with pc but don;t move foward, and I relock it and after that I do a RUU_signed.exe update, where I get "error[131]:costumer id error
Now the screen is black/blank. I can feel the startup vibration but the screen is not turning on.
It;s there something to try before trow it? Thanks in advance for any ideea!

nothing on the screen. do you think it's the screen or the mainboard? because I can see the buttons light and backlight and vibration when I power it up, but the screen is black allways. If I change the screen can I make it work?
no warranty, because it's bought from france and I am not living there.

If you have any experience with taking phones apart, try to reconnect the display connector.
It could be something as simple as that.
However, if that doesn't work, it probably is the screen.
As Zcink said, it may not be worth repairing since it's going to add up to the price of a new phone.

Maybe i am asking a silly question. Is there a way to make the green led blinking while the phone is sleeping? Because sometimes i do not know if the phone is turned off or just sleeping.
The second question: is there a camera mod for an unrotted Evo 3d, running ICS, ( i am interested in uncompressed pix and vids feature)? I just wanna know if there is such a mod, because the camera is also 3D, and such a mod may break this interesting feature.

I don't think so. If there was, you would have to be rooted. Cant you just hit the power button to see if it's on?

The program Tasker (among other things) has the ability to control the led. So you could set a profile to blink the led when the screen is off. I would think this would decrease battery, but it will do what you wish.

hi all i own the white version and i notice that when i am in a dark place and the lights of the back buttons is on its kind of splash to the screen...
since then i disable this function and turned the lights off at all time.
i just wanted to know if that a known thing or is it just a problem in my phone...
If you mean you can see light through the phone, then all white phones do that. The blue doesn't. But not sure if it goes all the way and affect the screen.

I get a green tint for split second after pushing the power button. When the screen is off and then turned on I see my screen with green tint for a split second sometimes more. Happens every time and dont know what the hell it is? Is the screen going bad? Its like a flash of light green tint for a second then the screen returns to normal? Any body heard of this? Any fix?

that's actually blue color right? i see blue color when i wake the phone from lock no matter what the rom is! not a problem.
