Evo LTE won't boot CM10 Stable - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I am stumped, I recently wiped my Evo LTE and installed CM10.0.0 Stable.
I flashed the boot.img to boot via fastboot.
But the phone still just 'boots' (shows spinning Cyanogenmod boot animation) forever.
What can I do to fix this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you flash the rom a second time after flashing the boot.img?
One way to fix it is to get S-OFF

Frist you will need to downgrade to HBOOT 1.49.1107 and then S-OFF your phone.. just rooting it does not help.!!
Just follow this to downgrade :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22494488&postcount=1
and this for S-off:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17233858&postcount=1
(SCROLL DOWN until you see : S-OFF & ROOT)
Keep in mind that in order to do downgrade you need to relock your phone and when its time to S-OFF it you need to unlock it again ! good luck!
Or if you want to flash Rom S-ON, I think you I'll manually have to flash boot.img using fastboot and then everything should be fine, according to me !

Hi
I did not meant that my phone will stuck on htc logo when flash a new rom. I couldn't install the ics rom in the first place. When i click install zip from the sd card in the recovery. Its shows updating package then, it shows some error on the file.
I thought it was the file at first but i downloaded back and the same error appeared.
I m running custom rom shooter beats right now and thats the only rom that works for me right now.
I hope u can help me... Thanks for ur reply.

HTC Unlocked to S-off with 1.22.651.3?

Hello,
I updated my Evo to the 1.22.651.3 software version and then got it HTC unlocked. Is there a way to get S-off from HTC unlocked? If so, which guide do I use? All the guides I can find seem to suggest that if you updated to 1.22.651.3, then you can't do S-off at this point.
Thanks for your help.
Correct, you can't get s-off.

Ok, thank you. Mean-Rom 3.5 and higher uses a new base and apparently without s-off I can't update past 3.4. I've tried a coupe times and get a black screen. Is there any work around for s-on phones trying to upgrade to a ROM with the new base?ne

Yes you can. You need to know the limitations of your bootloader.
You are trying to boot the ROM with the wrong kernel

Oh, I see. It's h boot 1.15. Thanks for the link. I should be able to figure out how to flash the kernel separate but where do I extract the kernel from the ROM? And will flashing the kernel ahead of the ROM do the trick? even with the new base?
Thanks a ton. Sorry for the noob stuff.

The kernel is in the boot.img. Open up the ROM and copy the boot.img to your adb folder if you are doing the fastboot method.
You can do it before or after the ROM flash, but the ROM wont boot till you have both

What firmware and bootloader do you have installed and what ROM do you want to flash?
You won't brick your phone by flashing a ROM but it might not flash properly depending on how you do it, or boot if it's not compatible with your current bootloader.

If you're on Sprint, I recommend ramjet's guide to getting s-off. It makes flashing Roms and kernels a piece of cake.

Try rebooting and give it plenty of time for the first boot. If that doesn't work, from the "wipe | format" menu in 4EXT recovery run the "format all partitions (except sdcard)" then flash the ROM again.
The 6th Sense ROM should work with that combination.

[Q] How to Remove Cyanogenmod & TWRP from HTC EVO 4G LTE

Hey Everyone,
This is my first actual post on xda but these forums have helped me with many things that have come up with during my time with Android
I recently installed CM 10.1.3 RC2 for my HTC EVO 4g LTE and couldn't find a good guide to going back to the stock software that I had before. Nothing is wrong with CM but I just prefer sense for this device.
To install CM I unlocked my bootloader with HTC DEV and flashed twrp 2.4.1.0 according to CM's guide. I installed GooManager for access to the twrp bootloader but from their I'm confused as to how to revert back to stock htc sense. I downloaded the latest RUU for my device so if anyone can help me out that would be great. Thanks.

You can flash a Sense ROM. There are quite a few to choose from. If you want to go back stock and unrooted, you can run a RUU. If you're on the latest Hboot, you'll have to S-off and run VipeRUU to get you back to stock, since there is no RUU for the latest OTA.
Also, there is no such thing as a "TWRP bootloader". TWRP is your recovery

No. It's a "stock" ROM, not a RUU. If you truly want to go back completely stock, get S-off and then use the tool in the link below. If you simply want a stock-feeling Sense ROM, check out the development threads-there are plenty.
Here is the link to VipeRUU. You must be S-off to use it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2197909
It would also be helpful if you posted your Hboot and radio (baseband) version.

You don't have to be S-off to run CyanogenMod. You need to extract the boot.img from the ROM and flash it via fastboot commands in the bootloader. Then you can flash the ROM itself from recovery. I explain this pretty clearly in my guide.

I tried to do this (same boat with 3.17) and BabyRacun won't run because the version is above 3.16 and it DirtyRacun errors because of a version mismatch
