I don't know if anybody has seen this yet, but Android central just posted the camera app with photosphere. You don't need to flash this, just download and install the app and enjoy!
http://cdn.androidcentral.com/sites...es/articleimage/684/2012/11/GalleryGoogle.apk
I would like to as I sort of miss the photoshere feature from my Nexus, but will installing this over write my current camera/gallery? I dont want to lose my current camera functionality and I sort of like the stock gallery lol..suppose I could nandroid..then install and see what happens eh
Check the international One section it's posted in apps. I have it installed on venom one and it works great.

OK installing it did NOT over write anything, I now have my regular camera and the google one..which is what I wanted!!!
Are photosphere photos blurry for anyone else?
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
I did notice that the one picture I took looked kind of blurry but I took it inside and it says to be at least 30 feet from what you are taking the pictures of. I haven't had time to try one outside to see if it works better.
It keeps force closing on me.

Yep. Tried it on a number of ROM and standard and it just produces blurry rubbish. I had an earlier version on a G3 and it was brilliant. Would be interested to see anybody who can produce one that looks good on an HTC one to be honest.

I tried the camera/gallery version from the 4.3 update for Google Play edition and Photosphere definitely seems a fair bit better on the HTC One, although it's still not brilliant. It's seems most likely that it is to do with the Ultrapixel camera.
There is an example of the latest version I used on my HTC One here, on Google+ : https://plus.google.com/u/0/117344384174087802750/posts/4VoHCETevbR
As you can see, it's not perfect, but it looks a lot better than any I have managed so far. Imagination/Circumstance or genuine update? Who knows.

Hi
I can't remember where I got it now, I'll have a dig about and see if I can find it.
Meanwhile, there is a 4.3 version out which may work if you are rooted - check this post out:

Sweet thanks man. It looks pretty good, definitely more flashy. I just hopes it also performs better. I get some FC from time to time
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! Hopefully I won't get that weird "downloading (paused)" funk anymore.
VERY NICE! thanks for this!
This is really nice. just downloaded it from applanet
Maybe it's because I'm not used to it yet, but I don't like it. Looks way too cluttered to me, and the previous version seemed much more streamlined. All they needed to fix was the backend of it (i.e. stop FCs).
The current market has never given me any problems but I think I'm still going to check this update out. Thanx

Does it attach itself to my current market app? Or is it a separate apk? And can I revert back to previous version?
You just install it and it replaces the old one

Is it alright if we don't update the market?
The new one looks kind of...cluttered?
And I'm guessing if we don't update it's going to update sooner or later isn't it?
Anyone know when we're supposed to get this update?

try using mean rom 2.3.... i know the camera works in 2d and 3d on that rom... some roms only the 2d works so you might only have one camera out and if you load one with a 3d cam then the second cam may kick on and if none kick on id definately say its a hardware issue...
Pull camera APK from stock ROM,delete camera from system/apps ,copy pulled APK to system/apps,reset permissions to rw-,r--,r--,,reboot phone,,should take care of camera issue,,hope this helps

It was also said that this update could potentially be very difficult. Im guessing they will realease an RUU and call it a day. Will still require rooting the phone and installing the rom

Have an HTC One coming next week and the idea of being able to replace it with stock Android makes it potentially much sweeter. I love the Nexus 4 performance and it does everything I want but I can't get over how nice the One is every time I hold it so I had to pick one up to try it out as my daily driver. Had a One X awhile back running Viper ROM which was very nice so I would imagine I can just run with the stock Sense until stock Android is available. Saves me from buying the Googled version of the One if HTC will be providing an update.
I could never give up Highlights & Zoe.
I'm fine with Sense. Just need root and I can do whatever I need.

I would not give up zoe and highlights, gallery software for stock android, which imo is horrible lol
Friends, how about, I have a question regarding the HTC cameras, I own a HTC Droid DNA, and take pictures in low light, such as in the antrum or Disco. Focus when no LED lights and therefore go wrong photos, I have to take several to hit which goes well, otherwise a Galaxy Nexus (my previous smartphone). My question is: It happens to all HTC? With some mod or some application may fix this?
Greetings from Mexico and congratulations for all your efforts
Sorry for my English, I'm using google xD

if you mean does it take crap pics in low light then yes it does lol. it kinda makes the flash as its own filter like a vignette.

No it doesn't but it takes fine pics when it flashes to take the pic. Like this one. edit: wow it loses a lot of quality when uploaded through tapatalk lol, the color still seems okay though. The non assisted flash is by design though to answer your question.

So, I'm thinking about trying to port a stock ROM for the Verizon s4 to the DNA. Why you guys think? Just an idea.
Sent from my dlx using xda app-developers app
I assume it will be hard and take lots of time and testing. More so than an HTC port since it's a Samsung device and they run different hardware. Some stuff may not ever work. The s4 has many features one would miss out on if ported to a DNA. Touchwiz would be nice to see because of it's fluidity and snapiness. That's something that sense has always lacked in my eyes.
Good luck with that.
Please do it!!!!

Yeah you are right, it will be difficult. And some stuff may not work I'm not sure. I used to have the s3 and there was actually a dude working on a sense 5 port. I didn't keep the phone long enough to see if everything worked though, so I'll just play around with it and see what I can do. Also don't anyone get their hopes up about it being available like now because I have to fit this into my schedule, I'll keep you guys updated!!
