How do I Detach app from market - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I detach an app from the market using Titanium backup pro, but after a few hours, Google play still attaches it.
Is it possible to rename the app or maybe a string somewhere such that it will still launch but Google play won't recognise it?
Thanks.

Why would you want that ?

Is this to avoid licence verification checks? If so I don't think you will get much help here.

What is the app i can check in google play settings for you .

The upgrade to the app is a downgrade to me.that's why.
I already know how to avoid license verification checks, but I prefer to buy my apps and support the developer. I'm a successful business man and know the importance of having your products paid for, and not going for free.

Play store remove auto updates .
jje

Its an annoying problem this. Titanium can break market links but they always re-appear. Its annoying because the spp always appears in the "update all" list so you either have to update all then quickly cancel for the one app, or don't use update all.
Its an annoying oversight from Google. I've been hoping they address this properly for years.

Care to explain what it is? Some kind of jar reader?
It is a new app store competing against the android and amazon markets. It has alot of free apps. But it is not a hacker site or app. I downloaded the app after reading about it from android central or Droid life or one of those. You have to download it from the website like you had to with the amazon store. It is legit but I think the apps are the phone apps but of course we know some of them work on tablets. So far I have downloaded backbreaker but it was messed up and splashtop which worked. I also got beautiful widgets for free. I read a little bit about how the apps developers get paid and it is completely legit. Took me a minute to figure out how to download the app.

Hmm I might try that tomorrow, but for now, sleeeeepp
Nobody else using this app store? All apps are free, I figured all the amazon app of the day peeps would love this.

I use it all the time to see what free apps they have to download!

it doesn't work for me on my galaxy tab. Can't get to recognize my tab.
Did you go to the Mobile site to download the app? I think it was m.getjar.com
Then you have to add in the security code
Sent from xda premium app
When I go to m.getjar.com it just redirects back to the regular site www.getjar.com
Yeah, I had that problem too using dolphin for pad, I have the setting on desktop so the mobile site wouldn't load. Had to use stock browser to get the app. I guess I could have just changed the setting. Make sure you access the quick download at bottom of the page and put in security code that they give you.

I hate getjar - it's hard to use (download apps) and hard to publish apps (the have ridiculous adding process, and resolution requirements).
Once I figured out how to get the app, downloading apps is no harder then the market or Amazon's store. The app has it's own installer as well.

I am using getjar app. Already downloaded some apps for free.
I have a question though. This getjar app is running in the startup. And startup managers are not able to kill it.
Any idea to remove it from running at startup?

I tried this out. It was alright. Not that many of the Gold apps or whatever they're called interested me though. Maybe in the future if they get some more...

This is what is stopping me from using this service, just dont know why it would need to launch at startup?
I wouldn't have downloaded it, but I read enough about it from legitimate news sources that I figured it was legit.

My apps listing

With the new google play market, when you go to 'my apps' you have 'installed' and 'all' sections. Under 'all' it shows your purchased apps but also shows every app you've installed before. Anyway to clear the list to only show my purchased apps?
Cheers

Doubt it. That's the default & only setting in the Play Store as far as I know. Nothing in the phone app or PC settings I can find to change it.

Don't like the new way of arranging the appss in the new version off google play store.
Maybe they will change it in the next version.
I prefer the list in gplay. It gives you your installed apps list and all the apps you've downloaded list as separate. It's useful for one reason at least - I sometimes want an app that I installed but can't remember it's name or whether I installed the said app from gplay or from Web. if it's not on gplay list I know I downloaded it from Web.

I'd recommend getting an antivirus software for Android.
Sadly even mobile phones nowaday need such software regardless of OS and manufacturer.
Either avast (free) or Dr.Web Beta (also free) are excellt and additionally report such Spammer apps.

Play Store 'No Connection' Fixes

1.Clear data and cache of Google services framework and play store. Reboot.
Or
2. Remove play store updates.
Or
3. Remove and reenter gmail account
Or
4. Install an older version of play store. If it is installed as a user app the convert it to a system app with the system/app/mover.
Link requires aptoide

You can use titanium to move apps to system and v.v.......an app that has a solid reputation and comes from the playstore.
No offence OP, just making a relevant point

Google Play Store bad manifest

Since about Monday, when I try to update several applications in the Google Play Store, I receive the error message "Package file has a bad manifest" when it tries to install the update. I have never seen this message before. Can someone advise on how to fix this error?
Very much a +1 here
This appeared randomly a few days ago and applies to some installed apps and also to new apps such as San Andreas.
Very frustrating.. If anyone could help us it would be greatly appreciated.
I would suggest you to go to applications and uninstall Google play updates... Later Google play will auto install to the latest version

I'm having this problem too. Been researching it and other people experiencing it have bad internet connections, and I just tested my connection too and it's terrible so must be caused by corruption. Gonna try again on a better connection.
