Installing CM9 after CM10 - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hello,
i used CM10 till today, wanted to install CM9 to use the camera with 720p. So what i did was the same process like installing CM10, just without unlocking the bootloader. I downloaded CM9, extracted the boot.img, used fastboot to flash, wiped dalvik/cache/partition and installed the CM9.zip. Did this a few times with 9.1 and 9.0 and everytime i get the same result: It's working, but the screen is shaking. It looks like scrolling the same screen in a loop. It isn't a bootloop thought, because you can get to the home screen, even open apps. Then i tried the superleggera custom rom, this time it doesn't even boot. It just blacks out after the free Xperia screen. What did i do wrong?

Superlegerra rom is based on stock and can't use fxp kernel... You will need to use stock based kernel of ics...

i've tried 4 kernels now, none seem to work. before that i flashed back to to original tft. also tried Ultimate Xperia, but always getting a bootloop. tried to flash the kernel via fastboot, also via flashtool but nothing helps.
e: got superleggera to work with the suave kernel
e2: for anybody interested, got Ultimate Xperia to work. I needed to flash the Neo V firmware, must be something with the disc space.

If your bootloader is locked you can't flash kernels so easily.
Download an original .ftf and flash it via flashtools.

[Q] Help me the Custom rom don't work on my Neo.

I have my Neo from a few months and I'm so proud of it. But, in the lasts week, I'm excited to receive the ICS update, so I can't wait and I tried to flash some custom rom on my NEO. First of all I have the .42 firmware stock with root and CWM installed with bootloader locked.
Before i tried to flash a custom Rom, I have unlocked the bootloader. And everything going well, but I try to flash 2 different Custom Rom both with the same result: in the reboot after the flash the NEo is stucked on the Sony Ericsson boot logo animation for an indefinite time, and i don't do nothing except to unplug the battery. So i return to the stock rom using flashtool.
But I really want to tried this custom rom based on ICS, anyone can hellp me?

i think the problem is causing because ur r flashing ICS custom rom directly on GB... flash stock ICS ftf file using flashtool, flash any custom kernel in fastboot mode using flashtool suitable for the ROM u want to flash (custom kernels has built in CWM), then goto CWM, wipe everything, flash the ROM, done... now that should work..
goto Settings > about phone > baseband to check the baseband's version

[HELP] [SERIOUS PROBLEM] i cant install roms on my neo v !!!

hi, recently i have installed some MIUI rom on my neo v, and was working perfect. but i wanted to go back to the stock roms, but i had a problem, and it was that it would take about 2 hours for every percent (using flashtool) !!! so i tried changing kernels, and the problem presisted, until i dont know how, i removed the kernel, and i couldn't install one again cuz it said that for doing so, i need to root my phone.
so basically, i have a phone without kernel and rom! can anyone help me fix it?
You don't need to root your phone to flash kernels. Flash kernels using fastboot. Do you have a nandroid backup?
Flash a stock ftf, sounds like you might have relocked your bootloader

well im only trying to flash a stock ftf, but im having the problem i said before!
and i have tried to do it in locked and unlocked bootloader, but there was no difference!
how many pc programs are there that can flash a rom?
is there any that can flash MIUI or CM roms (i mean zip ones)?
Flashtool for flash firmware like FTF file or flash kernel.
Fastboot for flash kernel only.
CWM for flash ROM through SD Card.
If u want revert back to stock.u will need FTF file and the right one flashtool...tick no verification final.
Sorry for my English

I'll attempt helping
Let's start with flashing a Stock ftf. U have one already. Use flashtool and do all as instructed. Untick Final Verification. Even if it is 2 hours per percent, just let it run. Perhaps your PC is slow.
And don't worry about battery running out. Did you know that when using recovery, if you remove the battery while the phone is still plugged into the computer, it won't turn off? It should be the same when using flashtool. Don't worry about battery
Once done, boot up your phone to check everything is done. If this worked, PM me, and I'll guide you through a MIUI flash.
You're welcome
1 more thing. Redownload the ftf. Maybe it is buggy.
Hey bro.
Is it fixed? Please let us know
sorry for being late to response!
good news, i fixed it! I dont know why i didn't try it sooner, but i tried flashing it with another pc, and it worked!
now i want some good roms for it,preferably based on JB. what are the bests out there?
BTW, Jass, your theory about "infinite battery while connected to pc" didn't turned out to be true, and it made me buy a direct charger! so please do not do this at home, school or...
when flashing ftf roms check in log to see if it gets stuck in this message [Ending Flash Session] (cuz it wont continue flash anymore)
if yes
plug out the usb
restarst your computer
try different usb ports

[Q] [Live with Walkman] Real ICS R6 Installation Help

Hello, I have a Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman and I wanted to run the Real ICS r6 rom. I have a LOCKED bootloader and I have a rooted device with CWM recovery installed. I have the stock Kernel 4.1.b.0.587. How to proceed after this? I need step by step instructions. I am completely a noob.
Also, I installed this rom but the screen never went after the Walkman animation in startup so I was freaked out and I flashed Stock Rom using my computer. Can anybody help me. Thanks.
Before flashing, make a full wipe. Wipe data, cache, advanced-dalvik cache, battery stat. Then flash the zip!
Wait until booting finish.

YES until now
Re:[Q] [Live with Walkman] Real ICS R6
Step 1:
Unlock the bootloader
1.Use the official sony method...
head to unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com and follow the procedure there..
by doing so you lose your DRM keys which means services like track id wont work anymore...
2.use a testpoint method which is a bit complicated but you retain your DRM keys
for the testpoint method check this out
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1730874
BE CAREFUL WHILE UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER YOU MAY BRICK YOUR DEVICE.
Step 2:
Install any one of the kernels mentioned on Real ICS r6 thread using flashtool
you can find flashtool here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1351309
press vol up button while connecting your phone to pc..
flashtool will detect your fastboot device.select the kernel and flash it..
check the logs before you disconnect your phone
Step 3:
Copy the flashable ROM file into your SD card.
Step 4:
Boot to CWM by pressing volume down again and again when your phone boots up(when the SONY logo appears)
Step 5:
Wipe cache, data, system and dalvik cache from CWM
Step 6:
choose install zip from SD card and select the real ics zip you download..
Step 7:
the AROMA installer will start and you can then follow the instructions it shows..
if your touch screen is not responding on the AROMA installer page use the vol up/vol down and home keys to select..
dont panic the touch screen will work once the installation is complete..
that's all bro..
dont freak out..
It always takes more time when it boots up for the first time..
the only part you can mess up is the bootloader unlocking and kernel flashing,so be careful with that..

From what i know, if you're using CM10.1 (Android 4.2.2), Fusion kernel is not compatible, you have to use the kernel provided in the rom archive (boot.img). Kernel, recovery, root and bootloader are the base terms in Android world, if you don't know what they mean, you should learn, or stay with the phone untouched (remain with the software provided by Sony). One thing is sure: nothing has happened to the phone. And for flashing a kernel, you have to use FASTBOOT mode, in Flashmode it's not going to work.

You should flash the kernel INSIDE thezip (inside the rom archive, there's something called boot.img or something like that) Extract it, and flash it using Flashtools.
