TNN Presents CyanMobile
Alright guys yall have asked for it so I have created it. Remember this is a wip and so far it does not boot. I am looking for people to flash and test since I do not have this device the process of creating this might take some time.
First things first credit is given where credit is earned! This source was not created by me or any of my team and the same goes for the device tree(s) used to compile this. Below are links to the original source code and device tree(s) used to make this happen.
SquadZone -- The team who made this beast in the first place -- https://github.com/CyanMobile
Giveen -- I have used his tree and vendor files -- https://github.com/giveen
DSC -- Kernel source that is used for the current builds -- https://github.com/dsc-team/dsc-team-kernel-project
TNN -- This is my team who without their support none of this could have happened
CyanMobile - Evo 4G General thread -- AKA CyanMobile Map (This will be brought over at a later date) -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2305750
Now to get to the meat and potatoes!!
What works!!
Nothing yet rom bootloops according to my only tester (this is where the community comes in cause I need more testers)
While digging around in the source code I came across this from the SquadZone Team. It is a list of some of the features that are included in this rom.
What is CyanMobile?
CyanMobile is an aftermarket ROM like CyanogenMod, MIUI, JoyOS, LewaOS and others that are built from source...
Absolutely built from source based on CyanogenMod 7 (Gingerbread v2.3.7) and modifications from AOSP and AOKP
Thanks To CyanogenMod Team, AOKP Team, and AOSP Team for Their Work
**********************************************************************************************************************
** CyanMobile is Short of " *Cyan* (CyanogenMod) *Mob* (Mobiling) *I* (Improving) and *L* (Let's) *E* (Experiment)" **
**********************************************************************************************************************
All features are based on what users do and what users need with lots of improvements here and there
This ROM (optimized by Gingerbread) uses updates from other branches (like ICS stuff, AOSP and AOKP) with reverse
engineering or backporting skills
It can be used without any need to have any Google application (Gapps) installed..

How to answer incoming calls and how to change the way you answer them.
As most of yall have noticed if you have tried this rom this thing is a beast when it comes to customization. There are countless things you can do and one of them is change how your dialer works. Out of the box you dont have softkeys to answer or hangup your phone. You must hit the settings hard key to answer or dial and the back key to hangup. Sorry about not listing that till now but I forgot about it
How to setup some of the basic features
Changing how you answer your phone
1. Settings -- CyanMobile Settings -- calls
2. Check allow incall ui touch this will give you a ui to answer/reject calls (if you only uncheck the two above this then you will be unable to answer your phone)
3. Also you can recheck the two options to use the menu and back keys and then either the buttons or the ui will work
Setting up GPS
1. Settings -- Main Settings -- Location & Security
2. Check Use wireless networks
3. Check Use GPS satellites
4. Select GPS source then select Use Internal GPS
5. Last one is your choice (it does use your mobile data) Check Use assisted GPS
Second there is a built in a2sd but needs to be setup.
1. Settings-- development -- check mount SD on boot and enable download on SD.
2. Reboot
3. Settings -- applications -- preferred install location -- sdext
4. Settings -- cyanmobile settings -- check allow application moving
5. Select install location and choose sd-ext
6. Now reboot
From now on all apps will automatically be on sdext.
You can go into settings -- application -- manage applications
If everything was done correctly then you will have an option to move to sdcard and move to sd-ext/phone.
Now I know some of yall are getting tired of setting up this rom every time I put out a new release. While this wont save everything it will save most of our settings. Open CyanMobile settings and scroll over to Utilities and you will find options to back up and restore. Just follow their instructions.
To disable boot audio
Settings -- CyanMobile Settings -- Performance
Uncheck enable boot sound and reboot (I have tested and this does work)
A2sd style scripts will cause bootloops
Note on themes: so far every cm7 theme I tried works fine.

CyanMobile Map
Well I am sure most of yall can figure out the normal settings so I will leave those out of this guide (unless I get requests for them).
I am going to start at the beginning and work my way through the settings. Some things might cover what has been posted in OP #1 but doing it this way will be easier for me. Also it should help to server as a better map for yall. I am taking pics as I am writing this so for now you will just see an insert message till I get them uploaded.
1. CyanMobile settings
2. First up is the Application tab
A. There are four listings here as shown above.
1. Allow application moving -- this must be enabled to use the built in a2sd program
2. Install location
a. Automatic -- system decides where to place apps
b. Internal -- this places apps on your /data partition
c. External -- this places apps in your .android_secure folder on your main sd partition (not a good option, will reboot when connecting mass storage.
d. SD-Ext -- this places apps on your sd-ext partition (best choice)
B. Use internal storage (this option is not for use and is grayed out)
C. Permission management -- this gives you the option to revoke or grant permission on a app by app basis
3. Calls tab
A. Smart phone call -- cool feature allows you to automatically dial a number when phone is placed near your ear (open contact, message or put number in dialer then put phone to your head and it dials)
B. Back button end call -- on by default
C. Menu button answers calls -- on by default
D. Allow Incall UI touch -- off by default -- selecting turns off options B + C (but you can enable them and have the option to use buttons or the UI) -- if you unselect this option it will automatically turn on options B + C (that way you will never be left without a way to answer calls)
E. Loop ringtone -- loops ringtone until call is answered or goes to voicemail (if not selected a short ringtone will only play once then stop)
F. Call Me Louder -- uses proximity sensor an will increase call volume when phone is inside pocket/bag/etc. (battery draining feature)
G. Vibrate during calls
H. Flip down to mute ringer -- battery draining feature
I. Flip down to snooze alarm -- battery draining feature
4. CPU settings tab
A. Current CPU frequency
B. Available governors -- changes governor
C. I/O scheduler -- changes I/O scheduler
D. Min CPU frequency -- allows you to set the lowest frequency the governor can use
E. Max CPU frequency -- allows you to set the highest frequency the governor can use
F. Max screen off CPU frequency -- limits screen off frequency -- if governor uses screen off freq then the lowest setting of the two will be used
G. Set on boot -- will restore setting after reboot/restart (only select after testing above settings -- that way you don't get stuck in boot loop due to too high/low cpu settings)
5. Display tab
A. Automatic backlight
1. Enable
2. Window length ( 2-60 seconds )
3. Reset threshold
4. Sample interval
5. Use custom
6. Screen dim level
7. Edit other levels
8. Allow light decrease
9. Decrease hysteresis
B. Screen-on animation -- animation when you come out of sleep
C. Screen-off animation -- animation when you go into sleep
D. Enable Bravia engine -- on by default (said to improve graphics)
E. Rotation animation
F. Window animation (this is not the only place to change this)
G. Transition animations (this is not the only place to change this)
H. Display Option -- changes the display size (evo 4G is 800X480)
I. Reset Display size
J. LCD Density (this can effect your market/playstore)
K. Clear Market data
L. Click to Reboot!
M. Reverse rotation -- used if your phone does not rotate correctly
N-Q. Used to enable/disable rotation settings 0, 90, 180, 270 degrees
6. Input tab
A. Input Tweaks
1. Haptic feedback tweaks
a. Haptic feedback main -- vibration when pressing softkeys and some UI interactions
b. Haptic feedback up -- vibration on release of key and some UI interactions
c. Haptic screen items -- vibration when making screen selections (haptic feedback up must be enable to use this feature)
d. Set Down Pattern -- make vibration patterns
c. Set Up Pattern -- make vibration patterns
d. Long-Press Pattern
e. Set Keypad Tap Pattern
2. Long-Press home settings
a. Show recent apps title
b. Number of recent apps
c. Quick home button -- when enabled pressing home shows recent apps (no long press required)
d. Task Switcher -- this is the app that makes it look like ics style recent apps (on by default)
e. Use custom application
f. Select custom application -- sets application used when long pressing home
3. Long-Press menu
a. Choose behavior -- a few preset options
b. Select custom application -- allows you to set app launched when long pressing menu
B. Search key behavior
1. Search key app
2. Custom application
3. Long-press search key
4. Custom application
C. Vibrate on shutdown
D. Volume rocker wake -- use volume keys to wake phone
E. Volume button music control -- long press vol+ to skip forward, vol- to restart/skip back (D and E can be enabled at same time so use care or you will wake the phone instead of changing tracks)
F. Camera button music control -- can be enabled but since we have no camera button it does nothing
G. Explorer Key -- another option you can change but since we dont have this key it wont do anything
6. Interface tab
(insert 27, 28, 29)
To be continued....

12. Can you provide a logcat (a logcat app comes with the rom to make this part easier) - no logcat dont know how
13. Logcats should be loaded to pastebin or attached to your bug report post. - https://pastbin.com/user/logcat.txt or attach to post and rename to logcat.zip (do not compress just change the extension because xda will only allow up to 512 KB text files)

3. Thank you in advance for using this form it will make things easier by using this.
Special Instructions
Well this rom is unlike anything you have seen or used before and being such it does come with some special instructions for installation.
1. You must do a clean install. (wipe everything twice)
2. Make sure all the junk files from other roms are no longer on your sdcard
3. Sd-ext must be wiped repeat sd-ext must be wiped
4. Do not install anything else with this rom NO MODS, NO SCRIPTS, NOTHING!!! REPEAT DO NOT INSTALL ANYTHING WITH THIS ROM
5. As of now there are no gapps included with this rom and please do not install any gapps with this rom (if you need gapps please use another rom for now)
6. I will post a special gapps.zip to use once this rom is up and running PLEASE ONLY USE MY GAPPS.ZIP others will give you issues!! This is not a normal gingerbread build and major issues will arise by using the wrong gapps.
7. Once gapps are posted DO NOT UPGRADE!! REPEAT DO NOT UPGRADE ANY GOGGLE APP!! I will keep the flashable zip updated for new users and a second update zip for apps that can be updated. Some updates will give you major errors due to this special version of gingerbread.
8. Once you have flashed the rom wipe caches again just to be safe and reboot.
9. You will most likely experience 1 reboot following the initial boot (1 reboot is normal 2 or more and there are issues)
10. Your phone will take some time to boot this is normal.
11. If for any reason you wipe cache at a later date you will notice something weird (for ics/jb users you will recognize this stage) it will state apps are being updated and show 1 0f XXX apps and progress till XXX is reached. Again this is normal and will only be noticed after a cache wipe. This is your phone doing a dalvic cache rebuild.
Now I am sure there are more but this is enough for now since the rom does not boot yet anyways. So no one should have to worry about anything past step 8

logcat attached
Just finished setting up a dedicated build machine just for this. Downloading and setting up a different device/vendor tree along with using a pre-built dsc kernel. Maybe better results this time around. Soon as the build is done i will post a link in the op.
On another note I will be importing page 1 of cyanmobile map tonight also. Might even try and getting page 2 started.
You need to pull some of my changes to init and BoardConfig, mainly those centering around /cache and /data

Everything I have tried so far has worked on my G Pad. Now my tablet and phone have the exact same setup, which is kind of nice for consistency between the devices. Has anyone tried this module along with XBlast Tools? I don't have XBLast Tools yet since I'm not sure if it plays nice with G2 Xposed. I would really like to change the notification bar icon colors.
Not working, app_process can't be installed, even after several reboots.

Go through the process again. You are the only one who has had issues. Install xposed (remove and install again), activate the module in the xposed app and then customize away
I confirm, this works great on my gpad as well as my g2

Could you please anyone share g pad 8.3 stock lockscreen wallpapers ?

FYI, G2 Xposed is now opened up for the G Pad in the Play Store, so you can download it directly from there. The OP might want to update the top post to reflect this.

If you followed my instructions in the OP it should already be in your app list. You have to install Xposed THEN install the G2, enable it and customize away

Hello fellow Xperia SP users!
I'm starting this thread so that we can inform each other of cool/useful Xposed modules that we use... and perhaps give each other some input on the proper usage of each module, or whether the module has been superseded by another, or...
Well, you get the general idea.
So, let me start by listing my modules and my reason for installing each:
Android Phone Vibrator -- mainly to make the phone vibrate when outgoing call is connected. Thus, I don't have to keep holding the phone against my ears while waiting for the destination to pick up the phone.
App Settings -- mainly to selectively allow automatic screen rotation for some apps.
BootManager -- to disable some apps from starting automatically on boot
Burnt Toast -- cosmetic addition; I like seeing the icon of the app that generates the toast
Complete Action Plus -- mainly to get the GB-style "tap to choose the app, check 'Always' to make it permanent" pop-up. It has an additional feature of being able to 'hide' apps I don't ever want to share with, and even sort the list.
ExpandableVolume -- adds a button on the volume 'toast', to allow setting of all settable volumes quickly
Greenify -- part of the Greenify Donation app
Performance Profile -- allows setting maxfreq/minfreq per app; thus apps that seem to drain my battery when being open, usually get their maxfreq lowered to 1.2 GHz (or lower) to help reduce battery usage
ReceiverStop -- to disable some apps from starting automatically on certain events
Ringer & Notification Volume Unlink in ICS/JB -- as the title says
SPDY -- this is a backport of KitKat's OkHttp module to ICS/JB. Not sure if it's effective, but doesn't hurt so far...
Swap Volume Keys -- when landscape, the Vol Up & Vol Down keys are swapped to make them more intuitive
SystemUI Patcher -- mainly to make the status bar transparent on the home screen ... see this thread for more info.
Tinted Status Bar -- to make the status bar auto-adapt to the app. It's a hit-and-miss situation, currently, but it makes my status bar less boring, so I'm keeping it. For now
Whatsapp Quiet Hours -- forces Whatsapp to be quiet during my sleep
XHaloFloatingWindow -- enables 'halo' floating window, similar to ParanoidAndroid
Xperia™ Xposed -- mods a lot of Xperia's SystemUI elements, bundled by eXistenZ Ultra
That's mine. What's yours?
I am currently using
tinted status bar: for make xperia more beautiful
App settings: Fixing memory management, works great with greenify, i Keep xperia home, music player and Chrome resident when I am using it, no force closes, When not using just greenify.
I am actually using :
- Gravity Box for the customisation
-xhaloFloatingWindow for the windows too
-Adaway to hide ads
-Greenify to stop some apps.
-SmoothProgressBar
-Swap Volume keys
Envoyé de mon C5303 en utilisant Tapatalk
What I'm using:
-ActivityForceNewTask: the name says it. I use it because I can close Quickpic and MXPlayer from the task switcher after opening a picture or video from a file browser.
-App Settings: change basic settings per app, like: change permissions, make it stay in memory, change the language of the app, change dpi, etc.
-Alternate App Picker: ICS and below-like default app choser.
-Burnt Toast: show app icon in toast notification.
-GravityBox: it provides a lot of customizations, very useful
-KitKat Toast Backport: KitKat-like toast notifications
-XBatteryThemer: Change the look of the battery icon on the statusbar
-Xperia MultiMiniapps: launch multiple miniapps on stock 4.1 (stock 4.3 has this feature by default)
-Xposed Preference Injector: Inject Xposed module preferences into Settings app

Not really, xposed modules modyfying files only
s is what i am using
Hey guys, these are the xposed modules i am using with reasons -
1) Xperia Xposed- it gives me many customization options, my settings are -
1. Navigation bar height - 42dp which belive me is perfect for this phone, 36dp is too small
2. Media settings which give me the option to switch tracks with volume button and turn it off with camera button
3. Power menu outings which give me more power menu options and i am using forced light theme which makes the power menu look colourful and beautiful
2) gem Xperia xposed- guys this is the most important module for any Xperia user as it give you the option to apply gradient per status and navigation bars, i personally don't like Corris home launcher and therefore i use translucent gradient to make my bars translucent
3) boot manager - i think it's purpose is very clear to all
4)YouTube adaway - this is a great module which makes it possible to remove the annoying YouTube ads at the starting of videos
5) [xad] - this is another great module that helps you to stop the annoying ads that are out up in many free apps to annoy us. -_-
6) Xperia dialer mods - this module helps us to record calls
7) android phone vibrator- it held to know if an outgoing call had been picked up by the reciever by giving a small vibration and many other useful features too
I found this Gem looking for a Xposed module. I searched and didn't see this here so here it is. Very power little module and the dev seems to respond to all questions. Check it out!!! Buy him a beer and like his thread
I loaded it on my Verizon GS4 running Stock, rooted, 4.4.2

Works for some but not all. Try using Triangle Away if Wanam doesn't work.
well this is useful thanks
I was going to flash another ROM but I figured I'd give e exposed a try. With all the modules available I can get almost everything I want without even changing from the stock ROM. Gets a little confusing with all the different settings but fun and works great for me. Jesse

All great modules from xposed installer.

Holy crap man, this is so old news...
The Wanam Xposed ROM isn't even supported by the developer for it anymore! That's how old this is...
Every Touchwiz user with xposed uses Wanam.
You're getting some hate for this being old news but I think this is a well written post that is certainly useful to those members around here that are new and inexperienced with xposed. Good write-up man.
Working tether Verizon s4 on NC5
Hey All,
I'm sure other's already know this, but i couldn't find a working method in the threads to enable wireless tethering for my wife's Verizon S4 (NC5, rooted / stock / Deodexed).
I installed the Xposed framework installer, rebooted.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-installer-versions-changelog-t2714053
Then in downloads section, downloaded the "X Tether" module by dymmeh.
I installed, in modules section-activated, rebooted... and bingo!!
Please thank dymmeh, rovo89, and Tungstwenty, and the Xposed team if this helps!!!

This is not working. on Verizon Note 3, 4.4.2 NC2, and the persistent data icon is always on.
Wanam isn't disabling it. Wanam also thinks it is disabled, because wanam shows it on or off as I mark it.
Any idea how I can remove the persistent 4GLTE icon?

Ok. By the way, I figured out how to solve it. Here is the code that works.
Code:
public class DataConnectionIconFix implements IXposedHookLoadPackage {
@Override
public void handleLoadPackage(LoadPackageParam lpparam) throws Throwable {
if(!lpparam.packageName.equals("com.android.systemui"))
return;
Class<?> NetworkController = findClass("com.android.systemui.statusbar.policy.NetworkController", lpparam.classLoader);
Class<?> Operator = null;
for(Class<?> c : NetworkController.getDeclaredClasses())
if(c.getSimpleName().equals("Operator"))
Operator = c;
findAndHookMethod(Operator, "getOperatorFromString", java.lang.String.class, XC_MethodReplacement.returnConstant(getStaticObjectField(Operator, "OPEN")));
}
}
My previous phone was a Motorola X Pure Edition that was rooted with Xposed and Gravity Box installed. Within Gravity box, you could modify the clock in the status bar to display the seconds timer along with the hour and minutes.
I am wondering is there a build.prop edit that can be made, maybe a magisk module, or some other type of change that will allow for the seconds timer to be displayed?
I checked within the Settings - Apps & Notifications - Notifications & status bar and didn't see anything related to modifying the clock. I also tried to enable System UI Tuner but it is not showing up in the Developer Options section (yes, I know how to enable Sytem Tuner properly )
Thanks :good:
