Yesterday I had some serious problems accessing the sd cards of my GS2 (international i9100 no letter; NeatROM with SiyahKernel S2-v6.0beta5).
After detecting there where some scrambled files at the internal and external sd cards root directorry.
I tried connecting it to my computer, but just the external sd card was accessible.
I also noticed, that mounting the device on my computer takes longer than I’m used to.
I re-flashed a 3parted Stock Rom (I9100XWLP7) to re-partion, did a factory reset after booting and all was working again.
So, I did start restoring my files and applying my settings.
After ~ 2 hours, the display and LEDs flickered multiple times, then my GS2 powered off.
I tried to power it up again, but nothing happened.
I pulled of the battery, waited for about 15 minutes, reinserted the battery and it powered up.
But then it hangs at the GS2 logo and not booting any further.
I’m not certain, but I think, there was a gentle “buzzing” from inside the device, after reinserting the battery for the first time, while the boot logo was showing.
I can boot into recovery and download mode and the batteries are charging.
My GS2 is still in warranty and I hadn’t re-flashed NetROM at this moment.
Should I try re-flashing it again, trying something different or should I just send it in for warranty?

Hi
I used the factory reset function on my tab a couple days ago to delete all apps and such and upon reboot it was stuck at the slowly flashing Samsung logo and would proceed no further. I left it for a good hour and a half in that state before I tried hard resetting it but no dice. I've had it do this before when I first rooted it, but unlike that time it doesn't replay the whole boot animation, just the logo part at the end of the animation. I managed to get it in clockwork mod or bootloader whatever that function is and cleared all the caches and did a reboot recovery (i believe thats what it was called) but upon reboot it did the same exact thing. So after that I gave up and went to bed, but the next day when I went back at it again it wouldn't even turn on. After messing around with the power button and volume button trying to get into recovery mode it finally turned on but went to the battery screen with no other actions. I've tried several times to get it into recovery mode but it either wont turn on or it just goes to the battery screen. I have it plugged into my pc at the moment and apparently it is in recovery mode or something because Odin recognizes it. Says [0:COM3] and the box is yellow, but the screen never turns on though when holding the power button and volume button while it's plugged into a pc, the pc recognizes something plugged into the USB slot. My pc is only recognizing it as a modem and will do nothing else with it.
I have the Starburst rom and the overclocked kernel installed and would like to either revert it to stock rom or perhaps the AOKP rom, milestone 6. Is there any way to do this if I can't boot it into a state where I can access the SD card on my pc? All the guides I've found always require I put files on the sd card to flash in clockwork recovery mod. Thanks for any assistance
Edit: Solved it myself, feel free to delete this post. Thanks!
Hi
I have an international model I9300. while updating the rom via odin, i had accidentally selected the repartition option and the flash did not complete even after waiting for over 30 mins. so i had no other option to pull the battery and reboot it. then i loaded stock rom on it but still what happens it while booting after the lock screen appears, it freezes. sometimes it does complete boot and i can use it normally, but when screen shuts off due to inactivity, it actually powers off on its own.and i have to power it on again for a complete boot. Then, i enabled the screen awake mode from developer options and put it to charge - strangely with the charger plugged in it never froze or rebooted, as the screen didnt go to sleep mode! I have gone through the SDS threads and also used the dummy file generator but no error while generating dummy files. I have tried I9300XXALE8, I9300XXEMB1, I9300XXEMC2 and I9300XXEMC3 and Slim-i9300-4.2.2.build.5 roms but all give the same result. also tried without SD Card and SIM Card - still the same problem. can anyone give me any suggestion on how to solve this please?
Hey guys
So I've been running temasek's cm11 rom. My phone's battery died and so I plugged it in this morning when I woke up. At first it would just stay on the boot animation. Tried restarting a couple of time and it would get to the same place. Then it fell off the bed(my bad), and doesn't go past the samsung logo. I've tried reflashing in cwm as well as wiping everything. But it still just sits. It doesn't really give me any errors in CWM, but it does seem as though it's not mounting the internal sd card correctly as I cannot flash from it, but can browse for files on my external sd(via recovery).
I've tried loading up Odin to fix it, but it won't pick up my phone. Have installed those "naked" usb drivers, but to no avail. I seem to be quite stuck.

Hi! i have received a bricked s3 yesterday, when enter on recovery mode i got a bunch of errors of trying mount partitions,
I cant flash anything on odin, only this rom http://checkrom.com/threads/resurrection-odin-checkrom-evohd™-v4.896/ in odin 3.09 with T flash option
but after that got stuck on samsung logo
This morning when I turned on my NT I got the usual flash and initial screen but then nothing (no CM boot animation). Closer inspection (in the dark) revealed a slightly backlit screen so I held the power button until that went out and tried several more times with the same result.
I put in the recovery SD and restored from my most recent backup, thinking the boot image had gotten corrupted somehow. After restoring it booted up fine out of the CWM routine and worked OK. I shut it down midday and then remembered I wanted to do something else tonight. I ended up back where I started! It won't get past the slightly backlit screen.
I've tried inducing it to boot without the SD card (same result) and with the SD card from the OFF state by connecting it via cable to the USB port on my laptop (same result).
I don't know what to try next, beyond the obvious of yet another restore from backup and maybe never powering down again....
Help!
Update: so I left the NT connected via USB to my laptop for an hour or two, after letting it get to the black backlit screen (but no boot animation or any other evidence of life). When I pressed the "N" button it displayed the lock screen!!!!! Everything seems to work but this is too bizarre. Still would like suggestions.
Hey all,
I installed Omega ROM v6.1 on my i9300 and for a while it was good.
Unfortunately one day it decided to crash and crash hard.
It was stuck in a boot loop and so I decided to wipe all the system, cache and factory reset in TWRP.
I then tried to reflash the ROM but it did not reinstall the full thing.
I believe this was down to the fact that I did not perform format data, as I have some mp3's on the internal storage that I wanted to save.
I tried to copy the files from the internal storage to the external micro sd card. This worked at first but then it quit part way through.
I thought this was due to the low battery so I charged and tried to resume. However whenever I tried to copy or move the files over to the external storage the next time it just failed.
I tried to do this a few times as I noticed it would work for a few seconds or a minute before quitting and so thought I could get them all eventually.
The total size of the folder is 2.4GB.
After doing this a few times my phone then decided to boot loop TWRP. It will sit on the startup screen of TWRP but when you try to do something it then resets.
I am running TWRP version v2.3.1.0.
As mentioned before I cannot connect my phone to a computer as the connection port is broken too.
Any help on this matter would be appreciated. I have searched the web for hours but found no such luck.
Kind Regards,
Shaun
You can try reflashing twrp but don't hold your breath.
Without the usb port the device cannot be flashed unless you have mobile odin, for which your device needs to be working.
The only other way is try holding all of the buttons on the device until it boots. Sometimes devices do a reboot when you hold all of the buttons. You must be exact and get all of them at precisely the same time. If no joy then the phone is goosed.
Thanks bro
Thanks for your help, a week or 2 later it decided not to turn on at all....
Think it's toast mate.
Just grabbed and s7 instead
