Thanks in advance for your help! So today I successfully rooted my Droid Razr M. I attempted to install the custom ROM Slim Bean. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that installation completed properly and when the phone tried to reset after the installation, the fastboot screen came on and it said "boot failure." I was able (by pressing the power, volume + and volume - buttons) to get to a screen where I got a few options, one of them being
"Recovery." I clicked on this, and the screen went to an android robot lying on its back with a red triangle above it and an explanation mark (I believe this might be Android attempting to enter recovery mode). However, the phone gets stuck in this screen and I get no where.
I'm afraid I might have bricked my Razr M. Any help on where to start would be much appreciated.

I hope this is posted in the correct location, apologies if it is not.
As stated in the title my droid razr maxx is stuck in a boot loop:
it will go to the "M" "dual core technology" screen and reboot itself after about 20s.
I tried going into the boot menu [I can turn off the phone from the AP fastboot, so it doesn't lose charge].
In the boot menu, I tried to do a factory reset (I've never done anything to this phone and have no idea how)...the recover screen never comes up, the phone just goes back into the loop, same thing for BP tools.
Note: FYI: I had my phone plugged into my computer when I went into AP fastboot and I got an error on my computer saying that it can't find the device.
As of right now I have no idea what to do (I've only ever used phones as they came in the box)
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Update: After charging for the night, the phone turned on with no problem...
then later the screen wouldn't turn on [side buttons and touch didn't work].
Now it looks like the phone is completely off and wont turn on at all (I tried all the combination of buttons and I tried plugging it in)
Please help
hey having a pretty major issue and really hoping someone can help. i have a rooted razr with jellybean leak. installed and rooted with mattlgroff droid razr utility. was working fine for a while. started having some issues so i just did a safestrap system restore and now the phone wont boot. it gets to the moto splash screen and then just goes blank, does not even get to the option to boot to safestrap or regular boot. i have tried to restore jb again with the razr utility and it seemed to install but then safe result on reboot, moto splash then nothing. i would try factory reset, but cant seem to get to that either. i boot to the built in recovery mode and choose recovery and then it gets to the screen with the android lying on its back with the triangle and exclamation mark and i hit the volume button and nothing happens, just stays there. would really appreciate any help or ideas here. thanks.
nevermind. was finally able to get into recovery mode and did factory reset and its working now

I recently got a secondhand Verizon Motorola Droid Razr XT912, intending to unlock it and use it with my t-mobile account. Coming from iPhone, I've never used android before so i took a few weeks to grow accustomed to the stock OS before rooting it. I learned it, and eventually, although it took several days, I also rooted it.
But today, when I attempt to boot the device, i see this glowing X logo, which my friend thinks might be the nexus logo (bootloader?), forever.
Never goes anywhere, just stays on X. I can only reboot it by holding power+volume down which makes it again boot to the X. I'm not sure if this is considered a boot loop - seeing as it doesn't actually loop, just hangs endlessly. It seems my only way of shutting the device off (power button does nothing) is to enter the boot selection menu (Vol up+down at startup) and choose the "AP fastboot" option and in that mode i can power down with a tap of the power button. all the other options bring me to the X, except recovery, an ill-android-logo-with-exclamation-point.
How did I get to this point? I tried to flash a ROM to replace the stock Motorola Android - trying first AOKP: First I backed up using myBackup, then I chose the link for "spyder" at the download list and followed a guide telling me to download this app and I did, but a different guide told me I would need CWM so i got that too. I didn't know how to add anything from within the app so i reboot to get too the boot menu, and chose the AOKP zip file - which worked for a bit but proceeded no further after "Booting...". I tried several times and messed around with the menu but I thought maybe I needed CWM so I chose that zip and it didn't work either.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? It sure seem like I bricked it. I discovered Recovery Mode has a hidden menu when you press the volume buttons, but choosing "install update from external storage (SD card)" then it fails as in valid for every zip I have tried. I thought maybe it needed to be signed or official so i downloaded what i found to be the stock update Blur_Version.6.16.211.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip and that was accepted but eventually failed as well. The factory reset option there does nothing. I tried using the Fastboot method as well but it never finishes without stopping, on 6/18 or 2/18 or anything for a different reason each time.
What haven't I tried?
I apologize if this is in the wrong place, and I've really tried searching around, but nothing seems to work/ is tailored to the m8.
So, I just got an M8 new out of the box, rooted it and successfully installed cyanogenmod. Problem is, I was playing around with it, trying to get the GApp store and somehow (did what i think was) deleted my roms completely. Now upon booting up the phone I just get the "This build is for dev..." screen, and with the volume down+Power button to access recovery mode I constantly get put back to the fastboot screen. I tried flashing a custom recovery as in "Phone arena CWM flash recovery" guide, but no luck because my computer is reading the device as offline. I honestly have no idea what to do, and if anyone could help me I would be so greatful...
TL;DR: Stuck on boot screen, can't enter recovery mode, think i deleted all my roms, help please
On a scale of 1 - bricked, how bricked is my phone?
HUGE DEVELOPMENTS, GUYS! I've been able to access recovery mode again by re-flashing ClockWorkMod.

Click to collapse
On that scale, you are zero. If the screen comes on, you aren't bricked.
hello everyone
this phone is NOWHERE... i cant believe how few people have this phone in the hacking community.
I've used a guide seen here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BCiq21WsFEc
essentially I rooted it in KK successfully. Then I installed TWRP through the twrp app... installed successfully. no error.
Went to reboot, phone does not get past splash. Recovery instantly goes to black (powered off) screen with red LED (tells me the phone is kind of on.. but some serious hardware misunderstanding taking place.)
How can I restore the stock recovery? While it is in this no-display-red-light mode it appears on my computer in DFU... so I know it is possible to still get in there, but I cannot find anything about the stock recovery for this phone.
Can't believe ZTE has little to no support for this phone...
Possible solution
That video seemed to be for the newer model of the zte grand x, thats why its called grand x plus. I had tried it on my phone and it was like stuck in a power up loop, what i did to get out of it is to go into recovery mode by pressing and hold the power button plus the up volume button. One i got in there i just rebooted it. Try that out and see if it works. Im still looking around for a solid root for this phone
