So,
I was updating my SIII to Omega 44.2 from omega 44. I did a full wipe and it just hung there doing nothing........so I pulled the battery (I know, right :silly. Anyway I am now stuck on boot loop, I can't get into recovery as my Vol+ doesn't work. I can get into download mode, but can't continue due to not being able to use the Vol+.
If anyone knows a way around this, although I know it is highly unlikely.
Thank you in advance for the ear bashing I am about to recieve.:good:
You should open your phone and try to fix the volume button but you can also acces the download mode via adb reboot download and recovery mode via adb reboot recovery (this one is propably kinda useless since you dont have touch recovery) when you reach the download mode you can just flash stock firmware via odin
btw hit the thanks button if i helped you
AW: [Q] Bricked s3
To me it sounds like a case for service center repair. I'm not used to Usb jigs, but I assume they still need you to press the vol+ button to continue to download mode...

You should really try to fix the volume buttons . Be brave and open the device or else pay someone to fix the buttons nothing else

Great so heres guide to reach the recovery mode without hard buttons
1.Download adb and install adb drivers for your phone
2.Extract the files to your c directory in a folder named adb(creat one)
3.Once the files are located in c:\adb go to start menu then search for cmd
4.type in cd c:\adb then click enter
5.type in adb devices it will show the connected devices it should be bunch of numbers
6.if you cant see them it means adb drivers for your device are not installed correctly
7.Now you can reboot to the recovery mode (adb reboot recovery) or download mode (adb reboot download)
you can also use usb jig

remember to hit the thanks button if i deserve it
I got a slight problem with my MediaPad 7 Lite. This is what I tried:
1. Shutting it down with USB Debugging enabled.
2. Restart tablet to fastboot mode by holding volume up and power buttons
The result:
It shows an Android Logo (Yay Recovery?) and then says "Rebooting..." and restarts normally.
Any solution to get into Fastbootmode / Recovery?
?
you cannot do that unless you do flash custom recovery... What do you want to achieve anyway?

I also got the same problem. I got a Mediapad 7 Youth (Brother of Lite) and I cant access the recovery mode nor the fastboot mode. I tried to download CWM Recovery Manager but nothing happened It still skips and reboot. By the way I would like to flash a custom recovery but I cant find any can u please help me/us?
hi
I just tried a couple of methods of getting into stock recovery myself for the mediapad 7 lite both get same error message
fail.....reboot needed
long press power to power off.
2) at another site I found the possible reason......
power + vol up + vol down until tablet vibrates
release power and hold vol up
--- it expects to find an update image on my sdcard ....which currently I don't have.
hope that helps
I have yet to test putting an official upate on sdcard and when normal boot......update from huawei site thru system settings says no updates needed.
Hi to all, my Huawei Ascend G700 that I just bought has gone into a bootloop. I have succesfully root the phone using Huwaei eroot software from as in the picture below but I havent flashed any custom ROM yet.
But then I want to install CWM recovery into the phone as it much feature rich that the stock e3 recovery. So I've downloaded the CWM recovery from the page in the picture below.
I used MobileUncle Tools to boot the CWM recovery & that's when the issue occured. It keep restarting after the Huawei logo. I cant even get into the recovery (by holding volume button up + power button). If I hold the volume down button + power button, a sentence " => FSATBOOT mode... " at the lower left corner of the screen will appear but the phone will reboot itself again & again. Please help. Thank you.

get the firmware for your phone (don't know if it's G700-U00 or U10), and flash images back. take out the battery, put the software in download mode for the necessary images (=download to phone), and insert the cable while you 're pushing both volume buttons

Did n`t work for me. Does someone know serial connecting points for Ascend G700, or has .pdf or picture of electrical schematic?
I think , it may help much!
Thanks for answer anyway.

as I said, use the solution I posted ... I managed to recover my phone with bricked recovery, uboot & boot partition:
- download the original stuff on the page,
- install the program
- tell it to upload firmware parts 'boot' & 'recovery' & start it
- connect the USB cable, hold both volume buttons and then enter the battery. this may not be easy: windows will first need to install a CDC driver, so the first time you try to download it will certainly fail, but maybe the 2nd or 3rd time . You know you're in the good mode when your screen keeps blank.
Sir
I guess I need more assistance from you if you don't mind.I have added my comments in red letters to your email below and if you can assist me on that it will be appreciated

I think the program he is refering to is listed on that other thread that he refers to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2412017
The program hisuite is mentioned. just google hisuite and you will find the official Huawei website with the program download.
But a "dummies how to guide" could be useful if anyone that have done this themself could take the trouble to make one.
Personally I just have ordered and not received my G700 yet, and found this thread because I was planning to root and put CWM into it when I get it.
But reading this thread makes me a bit worried if its worth the trouble, as it sounds as its a common problem on these phones.
From what I read, rooting is rather safe, but the CWM part may brick the phone, is this correct?

Hi i faced the same issue , the reason is mobile uncle told dint download the recovery image properly it was of 0 KB and i flashed it and error ..
still awating proper document to recover using sp tool recovery
Hi,
I bought a s4 gt-i9500 replica. The android 4.2.2 is installed with out my native language so I have a English version an I wanted to install a ROM with my language.
I have rooted my phone with Impactor, and did the rest as it is said here: How to install CWM recovery and Custom Rom on chinese Smartphones [HD] on youtube - can't link it:/
I have downloaded the ROM and recovery.img and copied that to the phone. Then I downloaded the mobileuncle tools and went to recovery update, selected the recovery.img, I'd flash the recovery as shown on the film. Rebooted the phone and then the phone is turning on normally instead of going to recovery mode. When I selected into recovery mode with mobileuncle tools i get the same result.
Before I also tried the vol -, power, home buttons and I get a Chinese menu on black screen and I don't know what to do there. I have also installed odin, but it doesn't see my phone.
Could anybody help me? I'm thinking right now that maybe something is wrong with the recovery.img.
The mobileuncle tools is showing mtk build as MT6589
hope u can...
switch off phone
press volume down+menu+power key
and connect to pc
if u get device driver installtion unsucssesful ....
......
right click ony computer
goto manage
device manager
foynd unkown device and right click on it
get driver manually ....(pc is connected to internet)
.....
if u get success full
right click on recovery.img and add to rar file...
in rar file open with notepad
and save as recovery.tar
....
open odin connect phone u get yellow box
click on pda select recovery.tar
and flash u get cwm on your device
press volume up+menu+power
else
press volume up+volume down+menu+power
and then you go.... beat of luck
The computer dowloaded a alcatel android adb interface, I did the trick with converting to recovery.tar, then I opened odin and then he does not see my phone, i don't get a yellow box
p.s I found a way to get to recovery mode by pressing the vol + and power and home button. And know I know that there is something with the recovery.img that I dowloade something wrong, because the phone turns on, on recovery mode and restarts, and when I have dowloaded the cwm 6.0.2.8 and then go in to recovery mode I get a white screen
Now in the device manger it is showing a device with out a driver JY-G4 when I connect the phone on recovery mode. Any idea white kind o driver I need?
I bought Spring W-100 China phone which looks approximately like Note1.
This phone has no SD card. Single SIM. No ROOT. Everything is ORIGINAL STOCK.
Recovery without commands - Blank Recovery - Android lying on its back with chest open and triangle with RED exclamatory mark.
I bought it from local market one month ago. Everything was okay.
But one day my brother took my phone for playing Subway Surfers.
And Oh...when i saw my phone..it was locked with Too many pattern lock attempts.
:crying: I am totally HOPELESS now.:crying:
I had tried whatever I got On XDA and another places.
At last I joined and made this thread in Android's HEAVEN - XDA..for the good.
Here are my assumptions:
1. There is no SD card..so I can't flash AROMA flasher and remove the gesture.key
2. I think ADB is going pretty well because I can reboot, reboot recovery and download with:
adb -d reboot; adb -d reboot recovery and adb reboot download commands respectively.
--wipe_data command is giving access denied error and rm /data/system/gesture.key is giving the same error.
I think it is because my phone is not rooted.
3. I can boot into bootloader with this code : adb reboot bootloader where only android written.
and then followed by this I tried On being in BOOTLOADER : fastboot -w
4. I had saw a method of pulling settings...but that method did't worked for me as well.

open stock Recovery, when you see the android with red exclaimation mark, HOLD power button and press Volume Up. if that doesnt work, try Volume Down. A menu will come up, choose wipe data/factory reset. DONE!
I tried everything..!!
i wanna tell u that i tried everything being in BLANK recovery mode:
power plus vol+
power plus vol-
power plus both vol+ & vol-
menu touch button
home & back touch button
....No Luck..!!
..As of now i think there are three solutions only for my problem(as I think) :
1. Flash RECOVERY.IMG for same make - because I can boot into fastboot mode.
2. Flash a custom or stock ROM (which I cannot get after searching a lot)
3. By using VOLCANOBOX software....(without BOX)
...My local MOBILE Repairing Shops are totally unaware of these things...
tell me that is there any UNIVERSAL recovery.img that can be flashed through fastboot mode to do a factory reset from phone because there is no ROOT and ADB is unable to do my task..
