Regarding DS5:
When using an original ROM (Android 2.2.2) is it possible to tether the device via WiFi or Bluetooth?
Or is this only available in later Android versions such as DSC?
If the ROM is a region 00 (unlocked) ROM, tethering is possible, but wired only. The carrier branded ROMs may or may not permit wired tethering, and I don't recall wireless tethering being possible in any Froyo ROM.

Hi people, finally solved my random 3G/HSDPA disconnection issues when using 2.1 custom roms and latest radio on orange uk.
Latest radio rom 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.09.26 seems to not working properly on ORANGE UK network (and maybe T-mobile) after flashing several ROMS to my hero problem still existed, so decided finally downgrade my radio to version which I have used before with MoDaco custom rom 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.08.29 and voila WORKING FLAWLESSLY
So, if any have disconnections on 3G/HSDPA with orangeUK try that radio.
Thanks, I'm going to give that a go as mine's a bit hit and miss. More than you'd expect anyway.
For those reading this, a quick link to the GSM Hero radios thread - HERE
I have flashed my device with LeeDrOiD HC V3.0.0 [KERNEL]LeeDrOiD HC V2.2.0, also I tried to install stock ROM and other custom ROMs, the problem remains tha same. Let me ask you a question, can I downgrade RADIO from HC to GB due I have some issues with my cell network provider on my new ROM? It is about inability of GPRS and WiFi working in same time. As all was good in previous ROM, I suggest the point is the RADIO version. This issue seen not only on my device, I found a lot info about similar problem of other mobile network operator users of my country. I`ll be very grateful if you can help.
All,
I installed beta 0.2.0 http 08/29/2012 23:16 cst 2
from [Jellybean] unofficial cm10 by jokersax 8/29/2012
The ROM seems to work OK for most of the stuff.
I am on AT&T and my Baseband version shows as N_01.77.37P
I can call and receive calls but no internet when I have WiFi OFF.
Does anybody know of a workaround or proper radio to flash and how?
Or do I have to wait for a future update for this 3G/HSPA+ internet fix?
Otherwise this seems to be an excellent ROM on my Atrix 4G which had
4.5.141 Gingerbread 2.3.6 Firmware.
Thanks,
Ad.
Hello,
I am new in this word of the mobiles software.
I have an xperia GO.
I have read than the mobiles have a firmware that controls the Bluetooth, the wifi and the phone communication called radio.
Is this for all the mobiles ?
When I install a new ROM in my phone change the radio firmware ?
Thank you.
at the origin, there was firmware HC 3.0.1 ver. XXKI1 (Vodafone).
later I downloaded original samsung firmware P7500XXLQ8_P7500OXALQ8_P7500XXLQ8_HOME.tar.md5 (4.0.4 ITV) and table works fine, I browse in 3G really fine.
later I needed Nougat, then I updated my device by following thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...stable-7-1-setup-google-voice-bigger-t3768344
tablet is rooted, twrp 3.11 installed.
almost everything works fine, the modem hooks the carrier of Vodafone Italy but only in GSM mode and I can receive only SMS.
nothing to do for browsing in 3G.
does a solution exist to browsing in 3G with Nougat with Vodafone Italy?
does a nice person exist who suggests me a work-around, an engineering code to modify baseband or have I to resign?
thanks, thanks, thanks
