If you have a cwm backup, restore it. If not, download a clean cwm backup from this thread and restore. All instruction are in there ----->

[Q] help please i want my root back

hey guys please somebody help me i updated my phone to the leaked version of ics and is stock i lost my root acces and i can't restore apps because i did the backup with titanium backup. also the firmware have a lost of bugs
You're on the leaked version.
You're on the stock.
You lost root.
You can't install any app.
You don't like the firmware.
So what do you plan to do? return to stock GB or return the phone to AT&T?

[Q] Unroot Phone from Backup

Greetings All,
I rooted my phone a few months ago with the help of GalaxyS2Root on YouTube. As soon as I rooted it, I made a backup. I flashed the SuperNexus ROM and now the Resurrection Remix ROM.
I have attempted to restore the original backup I made prior to flashing the phone to the above ROMs and it succeeded (after altering the md5 file). I noticed that there's still the yellow triangle at the boot sequence which states that the phone is still rooted. How do I unroot a backup? Do I have to download an official ICS ROM or can I simply flash a file through Odin?
Some Details:
- Purchased Samsung Galaxy S2 in the Philippines UNLOCKED (i9100)
I apologize for the newbie questions.
Awaiting for your replies
Are you going to unroot? Well, you can unroot a backup. If you are going to unroot, use triangle away then flash an offical rom.
Sent from my potato running potatomod.

What do you mean by FLASH an official ROM? Through Odin? Are you talking about the ICS Official ROMS floating around? Wouldn't that wipe all my data?

[Q] backing up multiple roms

can i back up more than 1 rom? let say i backup a 4.1.2 4.3 and 4.4 rom, can i restore them anytime i want to use them?
Why wouldn't you be able to ? Nandroid (CWM) backup = 'snapshot' of the phone at the time you took it.

Only possible when flashing 5.1.1 custom rom via recovery, but you will lose your imei, BUT you can backup your imei and after flashing new rom restore it.

Yes before you proceed you will need to install a "custom recovery" (Search about it if you dont know what it is)
Go to recovery like you want to format but instead go to "Backup & Restore" and select backup and then select "efs" which is IMEI.
After flashing a custom rom and after the first boot you will notice that there is no signal, so go to recovery and select to restore efs.
I recommend you to backup efs to ext sd card.
This will void your warranty, even downgrading it self will void it.
Goodluck!

Any firmware 4DPG1 or above can not be downgraded. Im guessing before you was on U3DPAD or lower which can be downgraded. The first MM builds could be downgraded. But any 4xxxx can not
ah ok....
then i downgraded fast enough
my main reason of downgrade:
in MM it is not possible to change the font with HiFont App....!!!
i see other people saying that it's possible.
but i have one of the latest builds so, in your opinion , it is impossible for me to downgrade.
but are you sure? i can't believe that, i want absolutely a solution, i am searching it from so many time, please help

What build number are you in? It is impossible to downgrade from a late build 4xxxx. I have tried absolutely everything. The only way is to flash a nandroid backup but even then you will lose imei. You can always back up efs and restore but its not always as straight forward to restore it. You would also need to flash a new bootloader and modem.
Did you make a nandroid backup of your previous firmware? If not then you cant try that.
The only other way you can try is to flash a 5.1.1 custom rom. Again you will lose imei. So efs backup is important. You would also need to flash BL and modem again.
There are roms based on lollipop which is a much safer way to revert back, try one of them.
Overall i wouldnt try it bit its up to you. If you do and you find a way to do it let me know.

You cant downgrade after 4xxxx firmware mate. After updated bootloader your stuck on mm.
There are ROMs based on 5.1.1. But because you flashed 4xxxx firmware you cant downgrade. All lollipop firmwares are 3xxxx

I said the second way was to try to flash a 5.1.1 custom rom. But you would lose imei and theres no guarantee it would work. Its been reported that once you upgrade to 4xxxx firmware its impossible to downgrade
