Does anyone think they could modify this boot animation to fit properly on our screens... it seems quite shrunken on mine and needs modifying.
If we could do the portrait and landscape versions that would be awesome. If not, I understand.
Here's a link to the original.

I had a go at this. There are nasty dotted lines at the top and bottom of the animation after it's resized. Will check into it later and see if I can fix.
this would be awesome to get a hold of ... if anyone can make it for this screen res, it would be great !
+2, this is the best boot animation I have seen and would love to have it ported to the atrix. any takers out there ?
I made a custom animation for my CM7 modded Galaxy SII (AT&T).
It's here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/wxui88597m6w1le/bootanimation.zip
The zip contains the animation, with only two frames included (of the 200+), which is what I am currently testing, but it doesn't seem to work- the boot screen stays blank until it just loads the home screen.
I have tested other animations, and they work fine.
Anyone mind taking a super-duper quick peek into the zip and tell me if I perhaps mis-configured the desc.txt
I did test the animation with success using the Boot Animation Previewer 2.0 Beta (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1133703).
RESOLVED -
Seems my 24-bit images were not liked by the phone for some reason, which were batch-processed with Irfanview. I re-saved all png's using an Action in Photoshop, via Safe for Web, PNG-24, with transparency disabled. It worked that way.
Thanks.
First thread, Yay!
I wanted to share with you a Theme for TWRP based on my new image from deviant art called Impact.
I am giving a lot of credit to JWhetstone02 as I mainly started from his theme and slowly but surely replaced as many icons as I could and changed the layout of some items.
If I could get some feedback, I would love to continue making these for every new image I come out with.
Instructions:
Open the TWRP folder and create a new folder called "theme" without quotes
rename the downloaded Impact-ui.zip to "ui.zip" and copy it to the theme folder
Restart into TWRP 2.4.1.0 and go to "Advanced>Reload Theme"
Enjoy!
Please notify me of anything wrong, I have only tested this on my DNA
I have also found the easiest way for me to test this every time I made a change was make a new ui.zip in my root folder and execute
"adb push C:\root\ui.zip /data/media/TWRP/theme/ui.zip"

These themes are resized for devices (HTC DNA) that have a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920
Your device, HTC Explorer only has a screen resolution of 320 x 480
This theme will not fit your device. hence why you only see the wallpaper, well probably part of it

ok... the theme however seems to be awsome. wish I could resize it for explorer but I don't have proper resources for that.
I am sorry that I don't have a theme formatted for your resolution, I'm sure I could cook something up for that resolution if more people were interested.
Theming this isnt hard but to get everything right requires going through that 4000 line xml document :S
I wish more people would tell me if this looks good on their DNA lol
Looks nice mate. Thank you, I appreciate it
keep up the good work! It's not that bad once you get with it
If you get the time and can be bothered, would you consider making the same one but having the buttons all about double the size and with no planet template behind them all. Theme is gorgeous it would just be nice to mix it up some days

Yes I'll upload some sample screenshots to see exactly what you mean to make it easier
HI everyone,
I m relatively new here i wanna make a boot animation for my Dell streak5....i checked for articles of making bootanimation from .avi file i have one file which i edited and created from video pad video editor and i am just stuck after that i have downloaded boot animation creator and its asking for folder of part 1 and part 2 folders which i got no idea of.
The main catch is the file is of 21 mb and i cant upload it here....can any body kindly gemme a helping hand here by atleast pointing me in the right direction. It would be really appreciated.
Regards,
amer.
So new you posted in the wrong forum.
Part 1 and part 2 folders are simply so you can do different effects. For example, in my boot animation I have the first thirty or so frames in part 1 and the remainder in part 2. The boot animation configuration I set has the frames in part 1 play once and the remaining frames in part 2 loop continuously until the device boots. You're also not limited to part 1 and part 2. You can have just part 1, if you intend on having the entire animation loop. You can also have a part 3 or even part 4 if you want to have different segments of the animation loop or not.
Now, you asked to be pointed in the right direction. See the search bar at the top of the page? Use it. I know for a fact there are tutorials on the process of creating boot animations on XDA as I relied upon them when making my own.
Will be moved to Q & A forum. Boot animations are NOT android development. They are nothing more than glorified animated gif files. If you get the meaning. Same principal.
You can research this on XDA by using the Search feature.
