People who need Xperia Arc S widget and Xperia S player on Xperia Arc S LT18i ..!!!
** There are certain changes in the steps please read carefully **
Thanks to datagubben and fatimarvin_15 (its a mixture of both their steps to get it this way and my created zip file)
All steps to have xperia Arc S Widget and Xperia S Working Equalizer, Clearbass, Surround, FBmusiclikes, edit option (SemcMetadataCleanup.apk) & background color change while music 3d scrolling.. Fully tested and working on my Xperia Arc S LT18i
You need a rooted Arc/ Arc S with 2.3.4 Gingerbread and CWM-recovery.
(a) Download this pack : http://www.4shared.com/zip/KZ2Bi5k9/Another_Way.html
(b) Extract it all and transfer the files to the SD-card .
(c) Start by installing only the following like a regular app : SemcMusic.apk and Soundenhancement.apk (overwrite any present). don't open player after this just do the next step ..
(d) Now you need to swith off and turn on your phone into CWM-recovery mode ..
(e) Flash this via CWM from the SD-card : Soundfx_Xperia_S.zip (contains SoundEnhancement Equalizer to work )
(f) Then flash "lib.zip" (this enables more button in equalizer)
press power off from cwm
(g) Turn on your phone and go in cwm mode again and flash "permission framework.zip"
(h) reboot your phone, remove/move n backup2sd any previous fbmusic like from system, reboot and install new fb music like to sd(for unlock bootloaders wheather they have relocked it later) . Else who have not unlocked bootloader atall, just replace it with new one in file to sys/app with rw-r-r permissions. if this doesn't works just do it as told for the unlock bootloader arc s phones ..
Then just go in settings and recheck facebook integration and fbmusic like will work!!
(i) Then Do it normally for SemcMetadataCleanup.apk install to sd or try it to sys/app with rw-r-r permissions (i cannot confirm its fully functional as i had unlocked bootloader so "download from network" feature doesn't works, but it does work like you can edit album art and add album art pic from gallery and edit song details)

If you see the music widget being blank, just remove it from screen and re add to screen it should definately work ... with the crystal colour changing according to theme the small flames
So there you have it! Xperia Arc S widget and Xperia S player on lt18i xperia arc s ( cannot confirm for arc as i dont have it )

Well guys its only for gingerbread 2.3.4 | .62 as mentioned, mayb for .42 aswell (but i installed it after updating and installing to .62 gingerbread)
i flashed stock .42 via flash tools n rooted it then updated to .62 via wifi and installed cwm and then continued with the main steps on the first post
i didn't like ics so i never tried it there, i believe this method won't work on ics and it would require more modifications ...
and yes so its working on official .62 update as i installed it via wifi the update that we get if we are on .42 first

i believe but not sure that for ics you just need to normally install the xperia s music player and sound enhacement to sd ....
you may get the music player ofcourse running and the xperia s equalizer with better sound quality for earphones.. but u may have to sacrifice the clear bass, surround sound thing and not to install those zip files using cwm .... i am not sure still u can see if it works and if u have no problem that if it doesnt works and u re-flash ur phone again ...
upto you or mayb i'll try to figure out for ics when i get an updated ics better than gingerbread .62

still it is functional.. just the download from network doesn't works and ofcourse it won't work as i have unlocked bootloader, so don't know if its fully functional or not for those who havn't unlocked their bootloader... But as mentioned above it does work like you can edit song details and add album art pic from gallery .. it will bring that album art to that song!
Else you can use media go pc software and use download album info from there
Mainly its all though about enjoying better sound with xperia s music player n its all features, along with the default nice arc s music widget..

Sure i have heard ics for xperia s would be starting from 1st june .... So once it comes then ill surely put my efforts to get it working wid all its features on our xperia arc s/arc aswell

Welcome XDA Community ! I present you my ROM, T0X1C ROM.
I spend much of my time to make this happen (about 2 monts), prevoius I develop a T0X1C MOD for LWW & Xperia Neo V (only published at polish android forum),
My ROM is developed for Xperia ARC, ARC S, NEO & at least NEO V.
T0X1C ROM based on:
Latest firmware for Xperia Neo V (.62), this is a system base,
Latest Xperia PLAY firmawe (.62), from this FW I take a PlayStation apps like a live wallpapers and PlayStation Pocket (certs too), PlayStation game has been tested by me and working without any problems (Crash Bandicoot from Xperia FW), even PSXperia games working
Latest firmawe for Xperia P/Sola/Go (.164) from this FW i take many apps, like a torch (GO), phonebook, facebook/timescape apps, meesage app, music player app, calendar, calculator etc. Almost every app form original FW has been replaced by newest from NXT Series.
Some other features:
- I added power menu (reboot to recovery, fastboot, normal reboot),
- Sounds/alarms taken from NXT series,
- SERAJR Launcher with 5x4 drawer and patched HDPI layout by me (I made some changes in config app too),
- Lidroid QuickSettings (every toogles working fine, even 2G/3G toogle),
- Static wallpapers (PNG) taken from newest Xperia P FW (ICS+GB resized for WFVGA),
- Some apps has been removed (bloatware like ANT service, Flash, Office) you can download it manualy and for free on Google Play,
- No scripts in init.d, only tweaks in build.prop,
- Very stable and fast (free RAM about ~ 250-260mb after first reboot),
- Apps from original FW are modified (PNG's and even strings) for maximum Xperia NXT look,
- Long press back button kill background apps (like in CM ROMS),
- NXT Lockscreen (witout installing aditional package) with settings and notifications,
- Live wallpapers from NXT Series (Cosmic Flow, Magic Forest, Earth),
- Modded camera app (better photo quality, and higher video bitrate),
- My implementation of Beats Audio (only few files for maximum audio quality and sound volume)
- Working ALSA + some tweaks in build.prop like a resampler etc,
- Skip track (in music app and radio) by volume rocker,
- Smooth scrooling,
- 30 step volume mod (for music, even on bluetooth headphone/s),
- Probably all widgets from NXT Series (I leave some stock widgets like Media Widget),
- Very good battery life,
- Some specific tweaks like a better touchscreen reaction, better voice quality incall, and many others ,
- Newest Google and Sony Apps,
- AdFree (by AdAway app),
- UI rendering by GPU,
- Optimized for everyday usage (because is stock like),
- Added support for init.d on locked BL,
- Bugfree ?
- Many others tweaks, and features that I forgot
Instalation is simple, flash a T0X1C_ROM_V8.zip, next choose a patch from T0X1C ROM (it resident on SDCARD after instalation of main system), odex is optional (but it can add aditional performance), recovery is only for locked BL. FULL WIPE IS REQUIRED ! (if you get a market errors like 927 or others make a second full wipe).
I suggest to use a .62 baseband or ICS (.72/.77).
I recommend a NightElf 10.1 kernel (so you must unlock your xperia), I don't test my ROM on locked phones but it should work If you're using a .42 stock kernel you must update it to .62 or NightElf.

- MT11i = Xperia Neo V,
- MT15i = Xperia Neo,
- LT15i = Xperia Arc,
- LT18i = Xperia Arc S,
ROM is developed for polish user so instalation strings in recovery are in polish language, system is multilanguage

I installed the ROM its fast and nice look.
When we flash night elf 10.1 it gets into boot loop or continuously restarting
with 9.6 version itz solved.
note : i didnt flash the odex as some said it will cause bootloop
will update if any issues.

the patch inside zip just like codename
after you install zip, you can install patch from sdcard/T0X1C/

10. Install "XperiaPLAY_4.1.B.0.587.zip" using CWM recovery

11.Install Wifi Fix Modules of your kernel using CWM recovery
12.Reboot your device into system (finish setup wizard)
13.Reboot again into Recovery
14.Install "XperiaPLAY_4.1.B.0.587_PATCH1.zip"

more fix are on build 2.1.0, i.e:

I used trebuchet launcher which can't display Walkman music widget in homescreen so I removed.
music/Walkman widget i add XperiaLauncher.zip, also I have an update zip with bravia engine2 and experia V WALKMAN music player (link donlod update as soon as possible. now my internet data was out, I trying to upload tomorrow)

When I got back my phone, I think I should put some new stuff on it, so this is what you see.
Since I've leave for a long period, so my rom might not be the best and up-to-date.

720p video recording doesn't work under lupus 480p kernel, works fine with 720p kernel.
The 720p recording issue isn't really an issue... Because it's not supposed to work on a 480p Kernel.
720p recording is disabled in 480p Kernels in order to free up more RAM for the Operating System. So as long as 720p recording works on the 720p Kernels it's working perfectly normal and as it should.

Known issue:
Black margin appears on the most left home screen on the first boot. (After rebooting and changing wallpaper you'll never see it again)
720p video recording doesn't work under lupus 480p kernel, works fine with 720p kernel.

How to flash:
Attention:
Flash this rom will wipe all your userdata and give you a clear system.
You can backup your app and data via Titanium Backup.
I'm not responsible for any damage or loses to your device.
Steps:
1.Flash firmware 4.0.2.A.0.58 Enhanced via Flashtool. (Optional)
Reference to here
2.Flash Lupus stock kernel via fastboot. (Recommended)
Reference to here
3.Boot into CWM Recovery, choose and install TrueAncestor_ICS_FE.zip from sdcard.
4.Remember wifi module if you do not use stock-based kenerl.

Although it may be totally unrelated thank you for the TrueAncestor PKG creator for the PS3, it was really useful.

Install Guide:
1.) Download the Rom
2.) Unpack a Kernel inside the zip file called Lupus.img oder Doomlord.img
3.) Flash coosed Kernel via fastboot
4.) Enter Recovery ( Lupus: push Vol -, Doomlord: push Back )
5.) Wipe all ( System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache )
6.) Flash the Rom
Only Doomkernel:
7.) After boot and Setup Assistent open Estrong File Explorer give him Root permissions
8.) search on your sdcard the Folder: copy this to vendor open it and mark all Folders and file in there
9.) copy all to System/vendor
10.) reboot your phone and enjoy the Rom

Just a heads up, I have not tried any other ROM then GB in a long time. So this is my first non GB rom to test out probably since this year.
My thoughts:
When I set it to redownload the MC4 files the wifi was incredibly slow. I was three feet from the wifi. And this may be because its ICS so it uses more ram then GB but it seemed to lag a little between normal transition between various aspects of the phones UI. This was after I installed no frills and set it to 1.4ghz on performance and sio, and I even used app quarantine to kill all apps except MC4, PLAY store, and settings.... everything else was frozen. I will keep playing with it. Either way thank you for making this rom. I appreciate your hard work and on behalf of the XDA Xperia PLAY forum thank you.

Hmm, well I use a ICS rom for everyday use and the download speeds are the same as GB.
Been waiting for V2 Final on android-hilfe.de to test for a while, will flash now to test.
How is this rom in terms of speed and performance?

yes. you can use many of status bars ( systemui.apk ) they are compatible with 4.1.B.1.13 firmeware.

hi mark, is there anyway you can make a version of the rom or a flashable zip with a sony xperia z style notification bar as i've found one and installed it but it comes out with the time wrong and no settings. i'd be a cool option for users or you could make an aroma with some options to add remove stuff and make the rom lighter and get rid if things. just an idea because your roms are awesome and final v2 is one of the top ics roms
Hi mark i think I found one bug, when I try to save an number as contact from dialer, the phonebook stops, I noticed that the infinitview.apk is missing, maybe this is the problem...
