there are dozens of such apps, use search. I use Tablet Talk as it is a standalone app
You could try kies air, which is Samsung app for it

I use mightytext.
But for clarity, when you say "from my pc", do you mean from your pc directly to the person you are sending the text too? If so, that wouldn't be an android app.
Mightytext allows you to use your computer keyboard/screen to send a text from your phone. The text is sent from your phone still and the text will be in your phone's logs.

well, this is embarrassing. I had a brainfart. I meant SMS2PC, which is a standalone app, and I use Tablet Talk on my Tablet.

Is there any way to turn multimedia message. When i send a message thats long it becomes a multimedia message. There use to be a way to send long txts before on roms like miui without it becoming multimedia message. By joining up txts to create longer ones. If any one knows how to fix it or just give advice thanks as i always send long txts that become multimedia without my consent and i get a hefty charge
Thanks again

I use Google Voice and today I tried to send a text out using my Bluetooth headset which brought up the Samsung voice command stuff. Problem is that it sends from the phone message app not Google voice and I can't figure out how to change it. Google search I got to use Google voice but Samsung voice talk doesn't use the android default list please help

so you mean to tell me I have had over 40 views on this and no one has the slightest idea?
Find the app in the master app list and clear defaults for it? If not it may be coded to use the stock messaging app and there's nothing your going to be able to do about that

Yeah that's what I am starting to realize. Looks like I will be rooting!

I was about to install it, but the app seems to have horrible reviews.
Been using Google Voice for awhile with no problems. Haven't been able to send or receive pictures though.

Gv is great ...it is only SMS not mms. But when set up proper...media will Goto ur gmail accnt. Its a great alt if u don't have messaging but data on ur plan. Might also look at handcent messenger....uses its own servers...so should only be data. U can pay for more features if needed. Other then that basic is free

Google voice isn't too bad so far. Long as I don't get charged for anything, I'll stick with this. Thanks for the suggestion.

How would I go about doing this? I'm currently using the Omega rom and would prefer it if I didn't have to switch but I'm open to any suggestions.
Thanks.
Play Store is your solution. Search it.
You can try SMS Lock apps or use Hancent SMS.

I liked Textsecure. I didn't use the encrypted message function just for the encrypted and password protected storage with a timeout. You can check it out here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.thoughtcrime.securesms

So my friend secretly sends credits from my phone to his without my permission. And I would like for him to be unable to access my inbox to prevent deletion of confirmation messages from my provider each time he uses my phone. This will also help me to catch him in the act. Thank you.

you could just keep your phone in your pocket and not leave it lying around?

Any apps that specifically does that? I'm currently trying sms control. Any suggestions would be great.

Try app lock application. I use it. It may help you too!

Try hide it pro in the play store.. It's the best hiding app for Android by far..
Whenever you're with your friend, you can lock your inbox and what it basically does is that whenever someone tries to open your inbox, it shows a force close message and asks to send an error report.. A normal person would consider this but for you you'll have to enter your password and your inbox will open..
It's a pretty cool app! Do try it..
