I'm using a cm10 variant currently and love the dpi quite low (225 to 240 approx). I appreciate I can change the dpi using build.prop, but does any Sammy stock rom come with the choice of dpi?
I know xposed app can set dpis, but wondered if there is a rom that allows it by default built into the Rom itself.
Many thanks.

Nope. build.prop for overall dpi (watch out for dialer probs) or xposed + mod for per app. Afaik, that's it.

Yeah, thought so. It's the dialer that's been my bug bear.
Stick with slim rom for now then.

You could use a third party dialler

If I understood you well, you want a stock ROM (4.1.2? or 4.2.2?) with dpi change..
try this maybe? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2148726
it's Stock ROM and you can choose between 320 and 260 dpi.
If it's not what you searched, I'm sorry

Weird, mine used to crash hardcore at 240 all the time.

I've used it just fine at 240 ever since I was on ics and started modding my dpi. Weird.

I've been using Chrome beta @ 160DPI on all the Tablet/Hybrid ROMs.
Glad it's finally out of Beta. Everything is always "Beta" for Google!

The chrome store is saying that apps aren't compatible with me device when I updated from Venom 1.0 to venom 1.1.2.
Chrome is an example of this.
Is there a fix?

Well that's why. Stock is 480. And 400 isn't standard so most apps won't work. You should either go to 480 or 320 for comparability.

+1 for Samsung touchwiz ROMS running xposed framework.
Gravity box is not compatible with touchwiz based ROMS.

Lux does this:

Mates, after tasting the 4.4.4 build of @GigilinE, original thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...4-4-4-samsung-n7100-ported-korean-s3-t2887689, i liked the Keyboard and tasted it on latest phantom NHI1 (and should work on other roms). it is working fine.
This is a mixture of AOSP and SAMMY keyboard. All latest kb features are working with aosp based kb look. It takes less space as the numeric keys are on the top row and there are graphical changes also. yes, it supports multi dpi/240 dpi. And it doesn't have the bug of double spacing if select any word from suggestions which is on latest NHI1 base.
those who are interested can try.

overwrite/ replace the new apk on /sysyem/app, change permission and reboot.
you should keep a copy of the existing one in case to revert.
special thanks to the great e-Team.
