The chrome store is saying that apps aren't compatible with me device when I updated from Venom 1.0 to venom 1.1.2.
Chrome is an example of this.
Is there a fix?
Works for me. Did you manually change anything?

Nope, I haven't changed anything aside from a few viper tweaks and an aosp theme

Well that's why. Stock is 480. And 400 isn't standard so most apps won't work. You should either go to 480 or 320 for comparability.

Screen real estate, cleanliness and having the option is better than not?
I'm using a cm10 variant currently and love the dpi quite low (225 to 240 approx). I appreciate I can change the dpi using build.prop, but does any Sammy stock rom come with the choice of dpi?
I know xposed app can set dpis, but wondered if there is a rom that allows it by default built into the Rom itself.
Many thanks.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Nope. build.prop for overall dpi (watch out for dialer probs) or xposed + mod for per app. Afaik, that's it.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah, thought so. It's the dialer that's been my bug bear.
Stick with slim rom for now then.

You could use a third party dialler

If I understood you well, you want a stock ROM (4.1.2? or 4.2.2?) with dpi change..
try this maybe? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2148726
it's Stock ROM and you can choose between 320 and 260 dpi.
If it's not what you searched, I'm sorry

Lol I don't know if it's just me but I like 4.1.2 noti drawer better than 4.2.2 cus' 4.2.2 tiles are big and you have to go to diff screen to see notifications (like those in cm10.1 and pac).

It's because aosp android 4.1.2 normally doesn't include toggles in the notification drawer.

Not sure if I'm a bit late with this, but the mod is meant for the S' CM10.1. Flashing it onto the S Advance would cause SystemUI force closes/bootloops.
So you'd have to request rodman to make a build for the S Advance CM10.1

I don't think there is one like that but there are certain zip files which you can flash through recovery... But that would not be as flexible as theme manager...

Also there is xposed framework where you can flash different modules to alter theme, but is not really a fully fledged theme manager.
Tbanksfor replys. Yes i know about them but as u said yes its not mich flexible. So any one can make this tupe ofthing for samy based roms will be awsome

However don't expect the same results as with original theme manager. If you want only slight modifications - Wanam Xposed will be enough to change colors for nearly everything. Otherwise, I'd suggest to search for flashable zips, f.e. Blue Theme, as these are far better than themes applied through above xposed modules.
Project end

since it's based on stock it should work
Yes it is stock base.
so you can play with and build according to your wishes.
a big part is deodex, so you can customize and make more than a single odex rom.
another big part is odex so it can put a ota update and a larger flow than simple deodex roms.
Sorry for my English.
How come this rom is so large when there are almost no google apps present
By reasoning and logic.
why leave gmail or maps or google + or other version obsolete and always present in system / app taking memory, then you can directly recover the market.
So I deleted the apps that you can manually retrieve the market so that you are always up to date.
And I have not imposed full of unnecessary applications.
this is the best way and the best strategy to get something really clean.
Sorry my english.
NB:
But page 1, a link to the apk removed unnecessary.

I answered,
you have a rom based stock,
you have to make him a present or inflicted what you want.
It is flexible enough to support many hacks.
and if something does not work, you just have to reflash the rom to own.
