Well, I saw a post showing that it's possible to upgrade the camera from a tablet named Woo Comet from VGA to 1.3 megapixel modifying the camera.cfg . I'm new so I can't post the link.
So I have an AOC mw0711-e and it has a 0.3 mp camera so I wanted to try the same thing but I wasn't able to find the camera.cfg
Is it possible to do the same thing with my tablet? Is there another file that can change the resolution of the camera? Why I don't have a camera.cfg file?
And I'm sorry of my really bad English
You won't be able to get more megapixels out a camera that is made to produce less.
I suppose that you're right but still, why I don't have a camera.cfg in system/etc/?
My tablet is rooted and it has android jb 4.1
The post that I saw was: wwwdotmanzanavirtualdotcom/actualizar-camara-woo-comet.html - I'm sorry, it is in spanish
Anyone else with an answer?
Mine's in /etc/
Do you have root and terminal?
Go to terminal and type:
su
cd /
find -name 'config.cfg'

Hi guys,
Well, the situation is that a friend has bricked his x10 mini camera by installing vignette (2010-05-06 found on apktor) yes it is an out-of-date version so I think that's the reason why the camera has died. Maybe when X10 mini was released, vignette in those days couldn't recognize that kind of camera, so when He ran vignette old version PAF!! but it's just a theory.
I'm currently running vignette (last version) and as you can probably know, it works like a charm.
has someone tried to install that specific version of vignette on a x10 mini? with successful results?
PS: Excuse my poor english.

Hi,
I have the Acer Liquid E1.
Specs below:
- MTK 6577 1Ghz Dual Core
4 GB rom
1GB ram
5mp rear cam
vga front cam
I want to edit the camera quality, thus modding the media profiles.xml.
But there is no such file present in system/etc. I have downloaded 2 or 3 more MTK device roms, and they have none too. Is there someone who knows where i could find it? Or why it isn't there?
Regards,

ive got the same problem on my mtk6577 phone (just records 640x480, but is capable of 1280x720 ) :/
media_profiles.xml is nowhere to find
no media_profile
same problem here ...
can anybody post answer to this post..
same problem
i hav micromax knight a350 . Which have 16mp camera
there is not any media_pfofile.xml
I hold no responsibility If you brick your phone .
So I have noticed that some mediatek phones dont have this file . I also have a chinese one which doesnt have this file .
The solution is that find a phone that has similar camera specs(or maybe lower) , and then copy the media_profiles.xml file from that device and paste it into your device's system/etc directory .
So basically you are just adding that file which is not present in your phone.
You can now modify the media_profiles.xml file ,set bitrate as you want .
Then set proper permissions .And youre done ! Reboot your phone now.
It might not work for your phone but it did worked for my phone . If your phone is stuck at bootloop just delete that file using file manager in recovery mode .
However your default camera app might not work .In my case it just said "unfortunately com.android.camera has stopped". So You might need to download app like "opencamera" for using the camera .
Previously I was able to shoot 1080p 17mbits video max.
Now I can shoot upto 40mbit at 1080p

hi all! ...1st of all excuse my bad English!
I have one spanish tablet (bq kepler 2) second hand bought with broken digitizer. I deep search online stores for replace and finally found one apparently exactly ...glass and flex fit perfect but, of course, (murphy's law) when i use it x-axis are inverted in portrait mode and y-axis in landscape orientation.
i try to search for a solution & only found solution for allwiner based tablets with an easy modify script file. Unfortunately in rockchip (rk2918) i dont find any solution to manage touchscreen configuration. Also i try to calibrate but no cant find app for it.
i think the solution are related to load/unload modules on kernel or modify kernel itself...but im newbie in android and dont know howto. Digitizer chipset its ft5x and i dont find any module loaded for it (lsmod) only touchscreen related file on sys/.../virtual directory...
any solution? thx!!
Hello all!
First and for most, I'm sorry for my bad english and I bag you pardon if that's the wrong side of the forum to ask about this, but weeks have passed and I can't find a solution anywhere!
Weeks ago I bootloaded my Xiaomi Mi 8 lite and rooted with magisk just to run Fortnite on my incompatible device (joke on me later).
Everything went good and I was (and am) able to play the game, after installing GL Tools and "editing some build.prop lines".
The lines in question are:
ro.build.flavor=
ro.product.model=
ro.product.brand=
ro.build.product=
ro.product.name=
ro.product.device=
But I saw that the face-id was no longer aviable, I can't update the phone or download magisk modules.
In my ignorance, I think that the change of brand and model are confusing my phone, can I, in any way, revert the changes? I don't want to install a new rom because the phone works flawlessy, is anywhere I can find those build.prop values just to update and download the modules?
and I FORGOT TO MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE EDITING, ANOTHER THING TO JOKE ME
Thanks a lot!
