Official CyanogenMod Support for One X+? - HTC One X+

I love my One X+, but I also somewhat regret getting it over the Galaxy S3 sometimes because of the lack of development in the ROMs for this device. I know that the One X+ is somewhat of a rare device because it was HTC's flagship phone for not too long with the introduction of the One, but it is still an amazing device with a lot of users. I have looked at a bunch of different ROMs and have been sad to see that they are not officially supported on the One X+. Lloir and all the guys who do ports of ROMs, I really thank you guys, and you guys are the ones allowing my phone to survive and not get thrown away or sold by me because of the lack of development on it. So, to come to my main point from the title, it would be nice to see official support from the CyanogenMod team and all the other major ROM teams. There are plenty of ROMs for the One X, so it shouldn't be too hard to make ROMs for the One X+ too.
I know that the lack of S-OFF and the Tegra 3 processor are major obstacles in creating ROMs for this device, but I would like to see some more official development for this device, and Lloir and all of you guys who work tirelessly to port ROMs over for the One X+, I thank you guys from the bottom of my heart.

Lloir is trying to go official if I recall

This is disappointing. So what is the most dev supported HTC North American Device? with LTE? We dont have a single rom developer for ATT that owns a HOX+. Turge is working on something but thats not out yet. If no rom devs then most likely no kernel devs either This is sad because this phone has a lot of potential..

The HTC one x, HTC Hero, and HTC Evo 4g had lots of development. This phone has quite a bit support, but it's mainly from the international side. So far I prefer running their work on our phone. The way things look, international will be where all the attention is focused for our phone. Maybe if s-off happens it will attract more Att dev, but who knows.

I find it troubling you seem to have this elitist view of what is or what is not considered development. Scott pours tons of effort in maintaining all of his roms across many devices. Some feel it is worth to have him dev on this phone. Do you really feel the need to dismiss Scott's effort and someones request to get this guy a free phone?
TLDR: Get off your high horse. Its embarrassing.

It's definitely possible for unofficial support for MIUI to arrive for the one in a port but nothing can happen until CyanogenMod builds a solid base for things to run off of since they have the largest number of contributors working on everything AOSP Android. And everyone pulls bits and pieces from their code to be able to build stable ROMs.

I personally think a sensed based miui is for the best considering there is a huge difference between quality of camera in sense vs aosp. Plus people get boom sound. It really is a no compromise option and the base is (for all intents and purposes really solid).
Also why is this in dev?
Moved to Q&A

Impossible idea: Collaboration

I think it would be mind blowing to have a collaboration Rom made by all the Developers we've had here. I know it would be nearly impossible due to conflicting schedules and having lives other than developing but wouldn't it be great to pretty much have a perfect rom? Just kind of a post for conversation, I guess.

Rhetorical or not he's looking for the one Rom, a single Rom to rule them all... would get cluttered and bombarded with too many ideas conflicting. We need choice to keep things interesting. Every Rom here is awesome on a customizational level I haven't seen in my previous phones.
Pointless endeavor really.

this is why AOSP i build is as "plain" as it is, so people can add stuff\remove stuff via flashable zips to it...and make it they're own rom..
I just thought it would be cool to be able to have a massive pool of tweaks from every Rom available in one package. Of course it's great to have a variety of roms but I also think it would be great to see what kind of performance we could have with a bunch of devs putting their skills together in building one rom. They're all great but I was just thinking of what it would be like. I already knew it's not possible which is why I labeled this as an impossible idea. I just wanted it open to discussion.

There is one from 2012. It's based on cm10 but it has many bugs! :|
Sent from my One X+ using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
There are porting guides out there that you can try and port it to your HOX+ . If you have the international version, you can base it off of your cm10 . Unfortunately for the ATT users (like me), we dont have a working cm10 to base ours from. I tried porting it using a sense base and I only got to bootanimation.
The problem with the HOX+ is that, despite being a great phone, it has a very small community and, at least on the inter-side, almost all developers have moved on to different phones.
One of the biggest HOX+ inter rom/kernel developers just broke his HOX+ too, as far as I can see all active non-Sense rom developers depended on him to some degree.
With, AFAIK, the last kernel developer/maintainer gone, even existing roms will start having a hard time staying up to date, as no-one will be able to fix kernel bugs or implement new kernel features that roms may require upstream.
I'm afraid that if you want something new for the HOX+, you'll have to make it yourself, there's no-one left to do it for you anymore, unfortunately.

I don't know who you're talking about. But if that developer is Lloir then believe me it wouldn't matter. Cause people asked him ages ago if he can make a MIUI ROM.. He said it's not open-source enough. And he also said he just can't stand MIUI.
I do agree with the small community thing though, I wish I bought a One X instead of the One X+
And I'm planning on buying an HTC M8 but I'm afraid it will have a small community so less ROMs and developers :|

I was indeed talking about Lloir. Indeed, Lloir won't have been the one to make Miui in any case, but he was the last remaining active kernel maintainer, something pretty much any other rom developer is depending on.
Plus, most rom developers for the HOX+ learned how to develop roms for the HOX+ from him in the first place.
While Lloir won't be making Miui, I think that, as long as no new kernel developer/maintainer will stand up, the HOX+ dev community will rapidly dry up completely, unfortunately.
That said however, we've been very lucky to have had these few talented developers in the first place (and still have a few), I've always been impressed at what the HOX+ community could do, despite it's size.
True that (Y) I don't know why but I'm not being able to quote you or press the thanks button o.o
