[Q] T-Mobile Droid DNA MMS help! - HTC Droid DNA

I've been doing research on how to fix the MMS problem but so far none have worked. I've tried making a new apn but would never save. I get internet on it but can't send a picture. I'm on T-Mobile and the only way I got around sending pictures was using the gosms app.

Knowing which ROM will help determine what may need changed or setup. Like with carbon my MMS works without issue on T-Mobile.
Tapatalked from my HTC DNA - Carbon

sounds like hes using a older rom with a newer kernel the issue he is having has been fixed a long time ago when development first started mms was a issue but thats been fixed you on a sense based rom thats outdated? say not brung up to the latest kernel and rom updates

I'm not using any rom, its stock. I got kernel 3.4.10-ga02d2c6....
Is there any settings I need to change??

Maybe MMS is tied to verzion some how and that's why outside apps work but not stock. Try a different ROM to test results or capture a log cat of trying to send MMS

MMS doesn't work natively on the stock ROM. Aosp ROMs yes, but not stock, you'll need to use gosms with the proper APN settings to get it working on a stock device. Its not that's its tied to Verizon per se its just not setup for T-Mobile usage. Sense 5 ROMs I believe also work natively for tmo MMS.
I went through all of this already when I got mine.

[Q] Das Bamf, ginngerbread and MMS.

OK. I apologize for the repeat question, but there seems to just be way too many threads with this mentioned, and way too much sifting for me to find the answer.
I am running Das-bamf gingerbread, de-sensed stripped (which is "wicked" awesome) and I am having a problem both sending and receiving MMS. I tried going into MMS settings and changing the source from Internet to Verizon, but to no avail. Does anybody else know of a solution?

I already have an exact duplicate of this thread open, literally same problem same rom same radio etc. Why open a new one? This needs to be consolidated and focused on in one big thread. So far I'm getting mixed reports. Some people say it works fine. Others say the same no MMS of any form. So idk what to tell you.
I for one know I am tech savvy and am very comfortable with command line and working my way around software, and I know I did everything fine. So I would really like to know what magical rainbow the people who have it working are floating along on, because I'd like a ride too.
I would have posted on your thread but it was like six on three AM and I was on my first cup of coffee.
I got mms working in gingerbread but I has to switch to Cyanogenmod. O only switched becauseI couldn't get my batt to charge with the dasbamf. I will most likely go back when both those issues are worked out

[Q] Unable to send MMS on Virtuous ICS

For whatever reason, I'm unable to send MMS. Literally every other part of this ROM is perfect, I'm able to receive MMS no problem, but I cannot send any!
Anyone have any ideas?
Same here. If you look at mms settings, nothing is configured properly. That's all we should need.

I have found a few things on Virtuous that the Virgin Mobile firwware has messed up. I moved to ICSENSE 420 and I have no problems. I really liked the Virtuous ROM so maybe they will fix the issues in an update.

Need help. Can't send SMS but can receive.

OK so I'm having an issue that I've been searching for a fix just bout all week with no answers. I can't send any type of SMS message. I can receive them but as soon as I try to send I get an error message saying message not sent and a ! Mark with a red triangle around it. I have spent over an hour on tech support with a.t.t. and they can't fix it. I've factory reset and reflashed the ROM and gapps. Deleted cache from messenging app. Checked, reset, and made new apns. Tried sending with WiFi on off data on and off and still nothing. I'm on tasks aokp 11/20 with everything "stock" to the ROM. Any help I'd appreciate it alpt

I've had the same problem with my phone (GT-i9100T) on the other side of the world. Most information seems to point to the SMSC number changing or disappearing. This happened on my phone, and it won't return to stock settings. So I also can't send any SMS.
I found that mine has a phone information screen available by typing *#*#4636#*#* but that might be different for yours.

sorry to bring up an old thread, but i'm having this issue now. i can send/receive MMS. i can receive SMS, but i CANNOT send SMS only.
searched xda and this forum and have tried almost everything mentioned.
here is the breakdown.
currently on Hellybean 1/14 version (android 4.2.1).
i have checked the smsc in *#*#4636#*#* and it is correct.
i have checked my apns and they are correct.
i have full wiped and reflashed the rom.
i have redownloaded the rom, full wiped and reflashed.
i have downloaded jellybam rom and still no sms.
i installed go sms pro and set the custom smsc there.
none of this allowed me to send sms messages.
i put my sim in another non android phone, and could send sms
now, this is where the story gets interesting.
i odin'ed back to stock, and lo and behold, could send sms. cool
rooted the phone, still sending sms messages. good.
(please note that i did full wipe between any flash from here on out)
flashed task/ktoonsez ICS AOKP, guess what! sms messaging working. another plus.
flashed tasks 4.1.2 aokp, still working, good deal!
so then flashed latest hellybean 4.2.1 again, sms is dead again. checked apns and smsc and its all there.
tried jellybam 4.2.1 and still not working.
does my phone just not like 4.2.1? am i destined to live on 4.1.2 island forever with this phone?
any ideas?
as a temporary fix, i am just adding a subject to my sms messages, thereby making them mms messages, and those are going through just fine. this is frustrating, been fighting this all night.

Try going back to the aokp 4.1.2 and then try flashing slimbean 4.2.1 but make a nandroid for the aokp just in case. Somewhere it might be losing the smsc in the hidden menu when u go back to 4.2.1 when u flash it try using the shortcut in the 1st page to get to the hidden menu and check to mack sure the number is still there and nothing got switched off. If nothing else try re-adding the number and reboot see if it fixes it.

Downloading it now, thanks
update with this:
downloaded the new task650 4.2.1 rom. backed up 4.1.2.
tried a dirty flash, just wiping cache and dalvik, and got a bunch of fc's, so time for a full wipe.
full wiped, flashed fine, no SMS.
im pulling my hair out on on this. could it be that vodafone is not compatible with 4.2.1? that wouldnt make much sense, but its all i can think of since it seems like ive tried everything else.
its gotten to the point where i want to solve this just cuz its a damn mystery.

It might. U can look under the ported android section for the s2. Quick question though, are u on the i777 or the i9100? That would likely be the cause if ur running an i777 ROM instead of the i9100. U may very well not be able to run 4.2.1. Its still a mystery to me as well. When u did the hidden menu and all that what number did u out in? I think in the link to the other thread there is a link a number for vodaphone. If not try googling what it would be and enter it. I had to search for days on there trying to find it. Hope I helped a lil at least

I'm definitely on a i777, got it before my international assignment. Have had it for a while now.
When I did the hidden menu, I had to convert the SMS to pdu.
Maybe just had a breakthrough. On 4.1.2 and was working fine. Flashed the latest modem, uclk3, and SMS stopped working. Flashed back to ucle5 and working again. Strange thing is when I was on 4.2.1 and ucle5 modem, SMS was not working. Going to flash back to a 4.2.1 ROM and try a few modems and see if that won't fix my issue.

Are you guys using the stock rom?
I was having similar problems on my stock EVO LTE after the last upgrade. Finally gave up and did a hard reset. I haven't had any more issues. Although I did run DirtyRacun and now have root but still running stock for now.
This is a very common problem with people running sense roms, particularly ones running the latest firmware. I had this problem too before switching to CM10 and there is no known way to permanently fix it. Sorry guys.

I still had the problem with that ROM.
I went on craigslist and bought a new evo lte 4g. stock. not rooted.
after a week or so i had the same problems.
Do you think this is due to the # of accounts and contacts??
I use goSMS and stock messaging. It is also noticable in dialer and people app.

[REQUEST] Working MMS for AT&T/T-Mobile

As silly as it is this has nearly turned into a deal breaker for me. I've been using goSMS to try and get around this issue and it reoccurs. If its possible I would gladly donate to see a MOD that can clear this up. I've tried every APN setting I can find and nothing has given me a permanent fix.
Thanks in advance.
