SuperCID and Goldcard do not work with the Desire X, and we do not have S-OFF. Why do you not want to use nandroid?

Without S-On, SuperCID is difficult / impossible.

i think RUU better make my device fully stock ..what do you think ?
Naa mate, people have uploaded completely stock nandroids so people can update to JB. (I am assuming you are on ICS hboot (1.24) and want to get JB

i'm now JB but facing some error cuz of wrong using after Root and want to solve it .. that's all
Oh fair enough, there definitely isn't an RUU for any JB build, your best bet is restoring someone's T-MOB101 nandroid for JB.

If you want to take the OTA, relock the device first.
Or do what everyone else does, flash custom recovery, upgrade firmware (and hboot if needed) and flash a new rom.

That makes no sense at all. But if you don't know how to flash rom's, there are guides and stickies on here for a reason.
Hello!
Is flashing a JB ROM on :
- S-ON
- 1.53.0007 HBOOT
safe?
I guess that after flashing I gonna have a different hboot (correct me if I'm wrong).
And how about flashing from JB to ICS?
Thanks for advices, I'm really new into android roms and can't afford a new phone if this one would be bricked.

You need to read the OP for the ROM. Usually they say what HBOOT is needed.
I can tell you that in order to go to JB you will need to S-Off first.

Sadly dev haven't mentioned Hboot nor s-off or s-on. That's why I'm asking
Btw. Isn't only difference between S-ON and S-OFF that you have to flash boot.img via fastboot usb if you're S-ON?

No. Look here for an explantion of s-on versus s-off.
At quick search in the thread you linked yieled people saying you need 1.39.
If your phone is the gsm version, you will have to downgrade your hboot to 1.49. Now in order to downgrade, you're going to need to be s-off
Sent from my Evo 3D GSM using Tapatalk 2
You're most likely going to end up bootlooping and confused. Go ahead and stay on stock rooted, and get S-Off, it's almost no risk, as failing to do the procedure right just means you have to keep trying.
you need non-ics bootloader so you need s-off first (wiretrick) then downgrade BL and then update radio.

Your device is a Dual SIM Desire X. Don't use any recovery for Single SIM on your device.

So now am on a custom rom and wanna revert back stock, am on Ruu O2_UK_1.14.206.16, hboot 1.30, but all i could find online is the ruu for O2_UK_1.14.206.13. Will i be able to just flash it even though its different Ruu number?

Stock OTA Update 4.2.2 - How do I downgrade to 4.1.1 with Sense 4 +?
Hello,
Can I make do downgrade to firmware 4.1.1 using RUU file from the official HTC firmware (1.15.605.4 RUU_DLX_WL_JB_45_VERIZON_WWE Radio_1.00.00.1023_3_NV_VZW_1.98_002_release_290923_signed.exe)?
Phone was not unblocking or rotated. This is after the update OTA. Where can I download the RUU and that I can easily use it to make a downgrade?
If such a downgrade would be possible if I could then possibly unlock (bootloader) phone and do S-OFF by Moonshine s-off and install costum roms, etc. .. ?

If you are trying to S_OFF your device, and you're on the latest firmware 3.06, then Rumrunner will get you where you want to be :good:

Thanks for the quick reply
For now I would only do the downgrade and be on the stock ROM.
But if later I could do S-OFF, etc. ..? However, if you would like to have a costum ROM maybe in the future.
My question is still as before can I downgrade the RUU?

AFAIK firmware is upgrade only. You can not downgrade firmware
Ok. So I have to do. Unlock the bootloader and do S-OFF as you write and use Costum ROMS.
I understand that it is no longer possible to definitively restore stock 4.1.1?
A stock 4.2.2 you will be able to come back as? In the event of warranty. Well I think?
Thank you for your advice ..

Once you are unlocked you certainly can flash older version roms.
Yes you can always return to stock, for the most part, for warranty purposes.
