RUU Question - HTC One X+

heyy sup
So now am on a custom rom and wanna revert back stock, am on Ruu O2_UK_1.14.206.16, hboot 1.30, but all i could find online is the ruu for O2_UK_1.14.206.13. Will i be able to just flash it even though its different Ruu number?

Flash any of the ROM's in Dev that are based on 2.17. Or just flash the base rooted 2.17 ROM.
i thought i read somewhere in one of the roms if you flash without being on 2.17 that you will get stuck in bootloop?

There is a link on the OP in meanrom thread which will guide u on how to update everything from 2.08 to 2.17 .... Just follow everything on that page n u can flash any 2.17 rom after that with no problem....

You need the Freeza All In One update. This will not update you to 2.17 as that is referring to the ROM, this will update the firmware, PRI etc.

Do yourself a favor, if you are on hboot 1.5, get it downgraded using instructions in the Dev forum. Everything is so much easier on 1.4.
If your CDMA hboot 1.5 you can either find the stock recovery to flash and use the zip file that the guys just mentioned...
You could also download the 2.17 RUU exe
Wipe Relock and run the ruu you will be updated Then just unlock again pretty easy...
That RUU comes in handy if you do **** something up
Lol 1.5 is easy no issues just one extra step to flash stuff not hard and no issues.

yes if u r on hboot 1.4.... once u flash this u will have everything updated..... then u can simply flash any rom with no problem.. but if ur on hboot 1.5 this i would first downgrade it like mentioned earlier....

[Q] Getting back to stock

So, I updated to the leaked kernel and would like to get back to stock. I know we had to wait for s-off, and since we have it now I was hoping for a how-to. I see we have a back to stock radio but what about the stock RUU? I am still getting used to all the terms here. Learning the difference from kernel/RUU/Radio/Rom. I am only confused on kernel and RUU.
I do have s-off.
Thanks All,
XDA user are the best
I would avoid flashing the radios. I would flash the latest GB RUU. After that you can flash and downgrade your hboot to the eng hboot 2.11 if you would like. Then go about how you would have dine before to run ics roms with the firmware patch unless the dev says otherwise......
If I am wrong someone will correct me.....as I have not done this.

BeringBullet, are you rooted? I ask because I also installed the ICS leak and want to go back to stock but I dont want to root.
Does anyone have a link to the GB RUU? I cant find a working one.
Not the most recent one but you can update over the air:

Then I assume you haven't done S-OFF? You will have to root to do the exploit. If afterward you run the GB RUU and flash the eng HBOOT, you can run stock unrooted ROM.
Word of warning; IF you flash the eng hboot after RUU'ing back to GB. Don't attempt bringing S-ON back to the device as you will brick to an unusable state.
Here's a write-up I made in another thread, just a quick summary of what steps to take. You can leave the stock hboot but if you wish to flash radios and/or s-on you will need to unlock.

SuperCID and Goldcard do not work with the Desire X, and we do not have S-OFF. Why do you not want to use nandroid?
For further reading look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2363313
Without S-On, SuperCID is difficult / impossible.

i think RUU better make my device fully stock ..what do you think ?
Naa mate, people have uploaded completely stock nandroids so people can update to JB. (I am assuming you are on ICS hboot (1.24) and want to get JB

i'm now JB but facing some error cuz of wrong using after Root and want to solve it .. that's all
Oh fair enough, there definitely isn't an RUU for any JB build, your best bet is restoring someone's T-MOB101 nandroid for JB.

And more reading, too.
OP is obviously unclear on the basic facts and steps, and needs to learn more before proceeding.
S-off is not needed to run RUU. RUU will install stock ROM. And why do you need to RUU in the first place?
Very unclear, this was a post i answered for them awhile ago.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53560486#post53560486
