Hello Guys !
SII Network :
Network
HSPA+ 21Mbps/ HSUPA 5.76Mbps
EDGE/ GPRS Class 12
Quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900
Quad band UMTS 850/900/1900/2100
Do At&t 3G networks work on SII ?
or just Edge/GPRS ?
Thank you ALL! AND SORRY FOR MY POOR ENGLISH
AT&T:
Quad band GSM 850/1900
Quad band UMTS 850/1900
Yes
It works, plenty of users (myself included) are currently using it on ATT 3G/4G network.
You should have searched a bit on the forum, this is a new thread that is unnecessary!!!!
Samsung have a services mode (not include nexus)
type *#2263# in the dialer
it will go to Band Selection
we can control the phone receive specific band
it may be useful when your carrier is using dual band
and select the phone receive the best band at some very bad signal area
but except samsung, any other have band selection
or can we develop one?
in original android
have a Testing mode (all android phone can enter this mode)
*#*#4636#*#*
Phone information->press menu button , then select radio band->show Set GSM/UMTS band
it have six option, and i tested them in my GS2
they select the band as below
Automatic = All band
EURO Band = WCDMA 2100 only
USA Band = WCDMA 1900 & 850 only
JAPAN Band = WCDMA 2100 only
AUS Band = WCDMA 2100 & 850 only
AUS2 Band = WCDMA 850 only
I want to set 900 only in my nexus, but i got no way to set it
in the source of this original android testing mode
can we edit it to lock the phone receive 850/900/1700/1900/2100 only

BAND and Network selection in SGH i897
Hello Guys,
I am getting this (*#*#4636#*#*) option in my Samsung SGH i897 and able to select all the BANDS and Network Modes. After selecting several times WCDMA only with EURO BAND, its still picking EDGE (2G) Network. Dont really know what wrong i am doing or i dont know some perfect selection combination of BAND and Network.
Any suggestion please..
Thanks
Hello everyone,
I am thinking to purchase at&t or T-mobile samsung galaxy S3, samsung galaxy s3 mini, iphone 4, 4s or 5 immediately before I go back to my homeland. I know these samsung galaxy S3 and iphone support HSDPA network. My homeland has only WCDMA 2100MHz network. My question is will these galaxy S3 or iphone works on WCDMA 2100 Mhz network. Thanks in advance.
HSDPA is the data connection protocol for 3G networks. WCDMA is what 3G is called, and 2100 MHz is the frequency. You need to look at a full specification list for the carrier variant of the phone you want, and check that it supports 2100 MHz frequency band. You'll see this info and supported 2G and 3G bands right at the top of the specification list in GSMarena. If the phone supports 2100 MHz, then it will work in your country. HSDPA/HSUPA is to WCDMA as GPRS/EDGE is to 2G GSM networks. They are just data protocols. You need to look at the bandwidth specifications.

I got a V19 phone from china with Android 5.0. I believe it is a rooted phone, I've seen some of those features. It came in a box that says Android. I have no idea of the manufacturer.
Problem: I cant get the data connection (tmobile, wifi works fine) to get better than the edge network, 2G. I've learned that T-Mobile requires these bands:
LTE Frequencies:
1700 MHz & 2100 MHz AWS band 4
1900 MHz PCS band 2 (in refarmed areas)
Lower 700 MHz band 12 (in development) / in service in selected areas
3G/4G Frequencies (WCDMA):
1700 MHz & 2100 MHz AWS band 4
1900 MHz PCS band 2 (in refarmed areas)
2G Frequencies (GSM/GPRS/EDGE):
1900 MHz PCS band 2
Inside the battery area the phone lists :
GSM 850/900/1800/1900mhz
WCDMA 850/2100mhz (HA)
When I got to engineering mode, I can see other bands that are greyed out.
So my question is this. Is it possible to slick this phone and install software, etc, that allows the bands I need? Or are 'Bands" hard coded into the hardware of the phone? Easier to just buy another phone with correct bands? Advice or links?
Thanks,
Gary B.
my v19 from china same as yours bro.. it says android 10.0 but its features says 6.0ver
I have a new unlocked S9+ China (SM-G9650/DS, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845), and I'm trying to figure out if it is fully supported by T-Mobile in the US. I've done some Googling on this, but I'm not sure I understand the results. The supported band specs for the phone, and the T-Mobile frequencies used, are below. Can someone confirm or comment whether the phone is fully supported, or if not what's missing? Thx, Gus

It will work on T-Mobile frequencies but you won't get Wifi Calling or voLTE. The stock CSC is TGY - Hong Kong, T-Mobile is TMB. I haven't found any way to change the CSC even with custom ROM, but assuming one became available you would trip Knox and lose Samsung Pay, Samsung Health, Secure Folder, OTA Updates and Factory Warranty. Some members have posted in regards to changing the CSC Code in the link below but I'm not certain it's working out. Good luck!

baring any unforeseen hidden stuff, you should be good to go for Tmobile...Minus the new Band 71 on the 600mhz spectrum. Honestly, unless you live in the area that will get this deployment, this shouldn't be of concern. As long as you can use Band 2/4/12, you will be ok with Tmobile.
I almost went with this route as well since I wanted to get a Snapdragon version with larger storage size. But I chickened out because I've been reading people having bad signals/not having full LTE speeds with their imported S9+ on TMOUS.
Good luck and let us know!
I used CT Excel Americas (T-mobile mvno) and it worked on CHC firmware. But I forgot to test volte etc.
