Well, follow the guide on Sony Discussion Forums. Moderator Nabeel has posted it. I can't give you the link as I can't post URLs till now. But type "Sony Xperia Root Guide" on Google and open the first link "Main: {GUIDE} How to Root Xperia™ Smartphones...". I rooted my Xperia P using this only.

Hi, i guess u too are noob like me..
Follow this video guide.. its pretty easy..
Youtube - How to unlock bootloader for xperia arc by android soul
(m not allowed to post external links here.. sorry )
Youtube - How to root xperia arc by android soul
They are pretty comprehensive and you should get it easily..
Note:
1. You need to unlock boot loader before you start rooting
2. There is one more easy method of rooting by the DooMlord. But m not sure it will work in your firmware.. coz i had the same firmware and it din work for me...
You can root without unlocking bootloader, I suggest searching as you will find your answers

Today i purchased sony xperia sola. I is awesome. I like its design and floating touch but one thing i m missing the most is its forum in xda.i love xda community and i love to mode my phone .i want to root xperia sola 2.3.7 and modify its contents for instant teaks, notification toggles etc...
the phone is quite new. so you need to wait a little bit for many people to vote for a forum made for your xperia sola
look into xperia s forum. people seems to post xperia sola, p and u stuff there. i think i saw stock sola and p rom being posted there earlier.
Can i root xperia sola 2.3.7 using normal root kit by doomlord or other Gingerbread 2.3.4 root kit?

Go check to Xperia S forum section, sola is also being discussed there, you will find more information from there, as we do not have 2.3.7 firmware here.

If you can't understand what's written on here, have a look on youtube and you'll find some video guides to follow. It should make things easier for you.

i have try to watch at you tube before, but i can't do oso =.=
I'm guessing that rooting isn't your best option then to be honest. But if you are determined to root your device, then your best option is to wait until you are better able to understand what the guides say.
That's the best I can for you, unfortunately.

Try binary's root method
If it doesn't work
Flash kernel of .10
Root via binary method
Flash back kernel of. 54
