Hi, today I went to a trusted shop and bought a i9100 battery, I did not noticed that it was actually a i9100p battery. There is a Near field communication label Btw i9100p is not avaible for my country, how come Anyways, i put the battery in and it works since 15 minutes before, but i'm not sure, will it harm my phone, or just work flawlessly.
I just noticed, it DOES NOT fit well in i9100, because it is significantly thicher than the original battery, I went to the store where I bought it and they replaced it instantly, and put away all the i9100p batteries which is labelled i9100.
Do not use i9100p battery on i9100, because it is much more thicher than the original and back cover dont fit well.
You went to a "trusted" shop in Turkey.
What are they trusted in.....selling kebabs,as it cant be mobile phones/accessories if they done that to you.

I said trusted, because there is no fake oem replacement parts, also cheap enough, but how could they sell a i9100p battery to me in Turkey. It was wierd. Btw he gives unlimited warranty for things that are not too expensive, he puts the shops label on items and it something stops working, just go and replace it instantly. Once, I bought a MHL to HDMI adapter and it was flickering, I brought it back and instant change, no question at all Other things that I bought works flawlessly so far.
I wonder if it works the other way...? I have a I9100P and I wonder if I can insert a I9100 battery. never had the occasion to try it
Maybe the guy has an internet business and stocks what sells. But if he exchanges stuff he seems ok then.

Whichever way you're thinking of doing it, just don't. If you want to avoid problems & have your phone run normally guaranteed, use a correct battery for your model. What exactly is difficult about this ?

Sounds like a blown fuse on the motherboard, do a search on this forum for details of repair procedure.
How long you had the unit?
If you, like myself, are not as technically advanced as some others, and you haven't had the phone long, send it back to whomever the manufacturer was and they will likely fix it. I bought an Siemens SX56 from ebay a couple of months ago and had the exact same problem, told me to do a hard reset first, that did nothing, then I sent it in to get fixed, apparently it was easier and cheaper for them to just send me a new unit because in about a week and half, I had one at my door. Of course, the unit I sent in was unlocked, as I use cingular and the Siemens is an ATT phone, but the new unit was locked to ATT, that's how I found this site, I had it unlocked in 5 minutes. Anyway, if you have had the phone less than 60 days, I would send it in and get it fixed.
that's one problem,
I live in the netherlands, and i bought it from my uncle who lives in Singapore....and he bought it there....
But I'll check the forum to see what I can do about it....
thnx anyway

Dear h0t_Sh0t, I have few advices that might help..
1- Check if your device has International warrenty.
2- Check is the connector socket is loose from inside or not well connected, this is where the little thing goes inside the imate to connect. Mine got loose one month ago, and then was almost broke, then did not charge or make Sunc, I got it to be repaired at almost US $ 65.
Hope this helps.

Symptoms:
- On making a call, starting from today (really yesterday), I get no audio going in or out. However both speakers are work fine, because the earpiece makes a beep sound to let me know call forwarding is active. The rear one works for everything.
- Headphones in call don't work either
- Sometimes I get sound for one call until I hang up, or it's very crackly and
useless.
- While ringing when dialing out (or rather, when you WOULD be hearing ringing if it was working), sometimes it'll cut the call and say "OUT OF SERVICE AREA", and then I'll get the circle with the line through it where signal is supposed to be. Signal is back seconds later.
- Data and texting work fine.
Things I've tried:
- I was on Omega ROM 13.1 with Siyah 1.5.3, although I've read online people have this issue bone stock, unrooted.
- Flashed stock insecure kernel
- Flashed several different modems
- ODIN'd back to the ROM that came with the phone (was originally a real-SIM-unlocked, Vodafone Germany i9300).
- Wiped everything possible
I'm willing to donate via Paypal to whoever has a definitive fix for this problem. It's really driving me insane that I don't have a working phone for calls. Worst case I'll call Samsung, but I expect they'll charge me an arm and a leg, if they even accept it considering it's from Germany originally (bought it off Amazon in June). This seems like a software issue, not a hardware issue consider both speakers still physically work fine. The issue is, what the hell is causing it if it came about completely randomly, and is happening across all ROMs, kernels, and modems that I flash?
Before you ask, no the Accessibility Setting for turning off all sounds is not on.
Thanks in advance for anyone that replies.
I use omega rom and I've had this a lot, I found that restoring the apn using titanium backup caused the problem, so I now use a apn backup app. Sometimes flashing the modem twice, clear cache, fix permissions helps. I always got call audio if I flashed back the base Rom. On ics, I could flash modems Willy nilly and 90% would work, not so on jelly bean. However, on omega v25 I can flash any modem and it works. Lh4 is about the best modem for me,
After flashing Rom (with full wipe), check call audio, make 1 change at a time so you know what removes sound. You may have to clear cache/fix permissions after certain changes.

It just happened totally randomly (as in it began totally randomly). Flashing the ROM again helped for one or two calls. Then back to square one. Tried everything possible including wiping and restoring the EFS. I'm not sure what kind of issue this is because the speaker itself works and so do data and texting, but not calls.

I'm in the US so there's no regional modem. But I've tried every modem and none have solved the issue. And this issue came up after 4 months of no issues. I'm hoping there's no hardware issues.

Product F(RED), did you get a solution to this issue? i'm having the /exact/ same thing with my i9300 in the US. I'd also be willing to donate to whom ever documents a solution for this issue. I'll supply any information or do any action (short of bricking the phone) to fix it..
I had to ship it to the sellers on Amazon (who are in Germany, where the phone came from originally), and they shipped it to Samsung for repair, and then back to me. Samsung in any EU-member country (including the UK) will repair a Galaxy S3 from any other EU country, and my S3 has a 2 year warranty instead of 1. It was a hardware component failure (not sure which) which required a new motherboard.
Guess what. It's happening again. I don't know what to do. I don't have the time or money to keep shipping this thing abroad to get it fixed. -_-
Ok, is anybody still monitoring this situation? I have had this exact same problem which has plagued me now for about 2 months. The story is bizarre:
My phone was a blue i9300 which I bought factory unlocked at my local **** Smith retailer in July 2012. It worked just fine for months, then this audio problem surfaced, precisely as described here. I googled for solutions and tried various "fixes" which apparently worked for other people but had no effect for me. These escalated in invasiveness until I had flashed CWM and several ROMs with several versions of modem. None had any effect whatever. By this time, I decided it must be a hardware issue, so I spent the next week of my spare time trying to erase what I'd done so I could do a warranty claim. Finally I got TriangleAway to work and flashed it with I9300XXEMB1_I9300OXAEMB1_BTU stock UK system. To outward appearances, the phone looked original. Everything was fine, except for the original audio problem.
Meanwhile, I found a white S3 on ebay with a broken screen and I bought it for the motherboard, which I thought would fix the problem with the blue one and remove the need for warranty claim, as I still wasn't sure I'd covered my tracks well enough. The broken handset arrived and I carefully swapped the motherboard over, put the SIM in and made a call. I was horrified to find the exact same problem. Everything worked fine, except no audio on calls.
Now what was I going to do with this broken handset I just bought? It was worth nothing as it was, so I began looking on ebay for a new screen for it. Found one and ordered it. I had already decided that the fault must be on the screen half of the phone rather than the motherboard. While I was waiting for the screen to arrive, I took the original blue phone to **** Smith, explained the problem to them and asked them to send it to Samsung for me for warranty. This they happily did. I put my SIM in my Bauhn 3G tablet and have been using it as a phone (better than nothing) in the meanwhile.
The screen for the white one arrived yesterday and I sat down and carefully installed it. Put in the SIM and rang my landline. You guessed it, no audio. Exact same problem. WTF? This can't be happening. But it is. What do I do now? What are the chances of these two handsets having exactly the same fault? The white one has its original firmware XXBLH3. I haven't messed with it at all other than changing the screen. It can't be the SIM card as it works ok in the tablet. I am lost. HELP!
Edit: Just did an OTA upgrade, it is now 4.1.1 XXDLK1 Audio problem remains the same.

OK that's the most insane thing ever. I can't frigging believe it.
I've had this issue for a month and a bit and it's driving me insane. Worst of all it goes and comes back without any apparent reason. Today it started again. I've done all the exact things you did, changed modem firmware, installed cyanogenmod, everything in the phone works fine except I get no audio in calls and suddenly call drops and signal goes out of service for a few seconds.
After hearing about your case I don't know what to do. I have an insurance with the phone company that covers theft, I am thinking about it.....
well same thing happened to me , i was in a different country for one month and when i went back this started. i have no idea whats going on.
It's a hardware issue. You need to send it to Samsung for motherboard replacement.

Vendor for warranty or Samsung give an additional 24 month warranty that is limited as per .
I've had a look around the forums but can't find an answer to this particular situation, firstly my SGS2 died on me the other day, had recently been charged but it was off when i pulled it out my pocket, nothing would bring it back, tried numerous chargers, friends batteries, download/recovery mode. Nothing. From what i've read online, this is something on the motherboard that has fried.
Now i was running an official Samsung rom, but i think i did have Cyanogen on this phone once (i say think, it might have been my previous phone). Let's say i did and the flash counter is reporting this, will samsung warranty know this, since the phone is probably in need of a new motherboard? Thanks if anyone knows!
(I'm in the process of sending it back now so i guess i'll find out soon enough.)
One other thing, while searching the forums i'm seeing a lot of people with the S2 saying they are out of warranty, but according to this, Samsung have 24 month warranties on mobile devices, surely if the S2 only came out in 2011, there shouldn't be any that are out of warranty yet, or does this differ from country to country?
(can't post the link due to new member policy, you can get it by searching "samsung warranty")
I actually dont know the time of my warranty. In Germany you have two years by law (if the device was faulty from the beginng, to put it shortly) and maybe a guarentee from samsung. Anyways, normally the samsung guys simple repair it and dont question your xda experience, even if your counter says OMG he flashed it. :good:
I'm sure it will be OK, Samsung have been excellent so far in dealing with my problem, i've already got my pre-paid padded envelope sent out and an apologetic letter
if your phone is dead and need a new motherboard, it does not matter what the counter says.
warranty is different from country to country depending on who you bought the phone from.
Mods - please move if in incorrect forum.
I was charging my GS3 and after unplugging it, I proceded to turn tethering on, and then put it in my pocket for 5 seconds. I took it out and it had turned off by itself. I cant turn the GS3 back on, either by the power button or using recovery mode. I have tried removing battery for a minute and then holding the power button for 20 seconds but no luck. Nothing at all happens when i plug the charger in, and I have left it in for 30 minutes and the device still wont boot.
Can anybody sugest what I can do to boot the device?
I have had no previous problems like this and im running stock firmware with no root. Im using a mac and not partitioned the drive to install windows and then odin, but I can do so if required.
What firmware are you using in this phone ? (Number if you can find it).
What is the phone ? Galaxy S3 International (GT-I9300) with 16GB inside ?
Perhaps a Sudden Death Symdrom for you with a total death...
Read this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2133401
First try another charged battery, yours may have just failed. Also check the battery terminals aren't bent or broken.
If it is still dead with a known good battery then looks like a warranty repair is required.
I cant find out the firmware unless I can get back on the phone :/ Yes its an I9300...
The bttery, I will try and find another GS3 owner but I dont think I can find any. Ill have a look into the thread also thanks for the info

Some device (Galaxy S3 with 16GB of internal storage memory) have a problem with the memory chip. So, if you are running a Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware, samsung have fix the bug and you are cover (so it's not a SDS problem).
But if you phone have an old firmware, you may be affected by this trouble. If it's your case, the unique solution is to put your phone on a repair center.
first, try a different battery. if that fails - send it to service for a motherboard replacement

Ive tried using a different battery and that doesnt seem to work either. The other GS3 works perfectly fine with my battery inside which suggests its a problem with my handset...
How can i find a dealer to send my unit to? I used to flash custom ROMs to the device but went back to stock 7 months ago when I left the UK to travel Australia, and did not reset the binary counter so it wont be covered by warranty
Since its dead they can't see binary counter. Best bet, send it to friend in uk for samsung repair...

Dont really want t send my phone back to the UK, it wil be expensive and Im not sure when im returning home, so it may be quicker/cheaper to either take home myself or to try get it sorted here :/

Cheaper than £150 GBP / $250 AUD for a used motherboard then Which by having it fitted, will void your 2 years EU warranty
Yeah, you are right. I think im just going to wait until I get back to the UK in a few months and send it off. I would get it done when i go to Asia next week but I am not staying in one place long enough - im guessing it would take a few weeks from sending it in to getting it back?
Also, I dropped my phone a few month back and the screen is all damaged but still useable. Samsung will still fix the problem I take it and not refuse to due to the damaged screen?
Hello guys.. I need your urgent help regarding the problem i am facing with my s2 sgh-i777.
My issue is that the phone takes a hell lot of tym to charge and it drains battery at a speed of 2%/min on average.. It is too frustating.
The phone also gets switched off on its own when the battery reaches around 40% (typically 37-38%
Well i have a EB-F1A2GBU battery installed in my phone. But some people say that its not the perfect battery for my sgh-i777. According to them it must be EB-L1A2GBA model. So please help me to find out if all this is happening due to this different battery model or it is the fault of my phone. So that i can troubleshoot it more effectively and efficiently.
My phone is running on 2.3.6 android and its not rooted!
The phone is imported and i'm using it here in india.
So its easy to understand that not much professional help is available here for this model.
Please let me know what you guys think as its gonna help me a lot!
Thankyou.
Mail id : [email protected]
The original stock battery out of my phone is EB-L1A2GBA. It's two years old now and losing capacity, so I purchased a replacement from ebay. The replacement was inexpensive, US $3.75. The seller ships internationally for US $1.75 extra postage. It does not have a part number on the label, but is labeled as a replacement for the I-777 at 3.7VDC, 2200mAh. I've only had it a few days, but it seems to work normally. Maybe you could purchase this, or something similar an try it to see if that is your problem.

Look on ebay.in for a battery. Idk what is good in India as the rupees are different from the ones in Pakistan. Good luck!
not available even there!
Thanks @azeem40, but this model's standard 1650mAh battery isn't available on ebay.in also
I bought a newEB-F1A2GBU battery again yesterday just to see whether this new battery works out for me or not.. Ans surprisingly it dint turn off my phone at 37-38% but as soon as i connected my charger with the phonr, the phone turned off and gave me unlimited number of boots showing battery cycle rotating and disappearing!
I have also checked amazon.in but they also dont offer the oem battery. They sell extended batteries of 3650mAh for my model but they are just too expensive. It costs 3000rs,which isnt affordable!
Now if i dont get a L1A2GBA battery, i'll have to sell my phone out!

Ya its says so but the actual battrry for i777 is EB-L1A2GBA. It is slightly different from this EB-F1A2GBU model.
My phone Reboots again and again while charging on inserting this F1A2GBU battery.

It doesn't matter. It will still work with your phone. That is just the model number of the battery, and it doesn't determine compatibility in this case.

Ya bro but if i keepnusing this battery then it shuts down my phone when it reaches around 30-40%. And if i buy new EB-F1A2GBU battery then it reboots again and again while charging. It gets into a continuos boot loop.
Now i guess i'll have to either adjust up with this problem or sellnout the phone at a cheaper rate!
