Can someone make an easy guide to unlock bootloader an flash custom kernel?
The spiderx guide is very good but difficult to understand...
UNLOCKING BOOTLOADER
firstly download all the files you need for unlock bootloading
how to unlock bootloader (This method if you have SEMC SIMlock)
1. Download Flash tool, s1tool, msm7227
2. extract s1tool.7z
3. make sure you have gordon gate driver installed (install PC Companion and)
3a. open PC companion and make sure it recognises your phone, and leave it OPEN
4. turn phone off completly
5. connect usb to phone (not to PC)
6. run s1tool and click 'hit do job' or 'run'
7. hold back button on phone and connect usb to PC
8. look for the word SEMC SIMlock,
there would be a upper case R and number (R8288) or lower case r (r8288)
if the r is lower case then bootloader is already unlocked, but if its upper case R then bootloader is not unlocked, continue with the instructions
9. open task manager and kill any adb.exe process
10. extract msm7227
11. make sure phone is connected and is in usb debugger mode before you run msm7227
12. run msn 7227 and will try to unlock bootloader
13. if it says "succesfully wrote 034433" then its unlocked!
14 double check, open s1tool again and follow the same procedure as step 1
if you get rxxxx instead of Rxxxx then it means you were sucessful in bootloader unlocking!
try at your own risk
once you have completed the unlock bootloading
then use flashtool to flash your firmware
FLASHING CUSTOM KERNEL
download a custom kernel of your choice
place this .ftf file in flashtool>firmware folder
run flashtool
press flash
select the firmware you want then ok
turn phone off, connect the usb to phone, hold back button on phone then connect the other usb end to the PC
it should start to flash and you can let go of the back button
(when its finished flashing DONT CLOSE FLASHTOOL)
-when its finished
turn phone on, go to settings>application>development and select usb debugging mode
-then you need to root your phone
so click on root
phone should reboot
-then click on ask root perm
and on your phone you should get a message select "yes" for permission
-then on flashtool click on xRecovery to install xRecovery
wait til its finished then you can close flashtool
FLASHING CUSTOM ROM
download and place a ROM of you choice to your sdcard
turn the phone off
when turning your phone on hit the back button few times until you get to clockworkmod (xRecovery)
from clockwork mod go to 'install zip from sdcard'
then select 'choose zip from sdcard'
and select the ROM zip you want to install (e.g Minicm7.zip)
and hit yes
when the custom rom is installed make sure you wipe factory data, cache and dalvic cache
I hope this helps you
but try this at your own risk, i cant be held responsible if you brick your phone
Does someone one the easier way to root it?
SORRY!
I am too late back here!
Please use two step way to root LT26w.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1834291
Don't use 5 step way. You will get stock in step 5.
After you root, You will get supersu instead superuser.

impossible until now. I'm using acro s, and if we can not root in easier way, the phone may have some laggy, and temp is hot. If you don't want to unlock bootloader, just one way to do: follow your link on the #1

Just rooted my phone two days ago following this instruction. It works!!
Of note, I am using Flashtool v9.0.0 (the latest version) which is compatible.
I'm just wondering: How will the device be rooted when the bootloader is unlocked? Does this happen instantly or do I need to do it with the flashtool?
I have found there have way to unlock the BootLoader, but after we unlocked it, how can we root this phone? Hope some one develop Easy Recovery for this device!

you can flash xs advanced stock kernel, it's included CWM, then flash super user, then flash again stock lt26w kernel. Because xs kernel can not use, only cwm can run. Remember copy superuser or flashable.zip to internal memory. SD card can not use.

I have rooted LT26w. Because I'm Japanese live in Taiwan, I could read the original and #1, both ways.
( Original : rooting toolkit for XPERIA acro HD (ver1.0.1) KDDI IS12S / docomo SO-03D 両対応版 )
I want to correct a few problems in both of those.
Preinclination
1. Get the Flashtool
2. Get the modified rooting toolkit for XPERIA acro HD (ver1.0.1)
3. Get the XPERIA acro HD's ftf
4. Prepare original ROM's ftf, or get LT26w(6.1.A.1.58) ftf

hi guys
i have x10i
i want install android 4.0.4

i give code unlocke of site sony
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/
but i cannot write code because i cannot go to the fastboot mode??
please help me how fastboot mode for write code unlocke bootloader
thanks
hi first download latest flashtool then install device drivers and turn on usb debugging on x10 then connect it with pc flashtool detect ur phone then there is option for root after the root then there is a option for unlock bootloader. cheer
hit thanks button if i help u.
Hey try this -
1.download latest flashtools which is a program that you would be using as long a you want to flash custom rom from here: http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/
2. Now in the Flashtools folder (C:\Flashtool\firmwares by default) go to the folder named drivers and you would see "flashtool-drivers" and install them (installed them all just in-case you decide to get another Xperia phone in the future.
3. On your phone go to setting>applacations>unknown sources and usb debugging in development and connect your phone to your computer with your data cable and then open flashtools.
4. root would now become available in flashtools so press it(the black unlocked lock ICON) and just wait for flashtools to reboot your phone. and you now have root access!
Installing a Recovery
In order to install a new Rom you would have to install a Recovery, according to the rom you want to install the thread would state whether you need a ClockWorkMod(CWM)(CWM5 in flashtools) or just flash through Xrecovery(0.3 in flashtools)
So in order to install a Recovery your phone must be connected to the USB port on your computer. So in flashtools click on the black square with a white cross in it and choose according.( setting>applacations>unknown sources and usb debugging in development much be on.
How to use Xrecovery.
To get into xrecovery you much power off your device, then press the power button until it vibrates, no when you see the sonyericsson logo start pressing the back button on your phone and then you would enter Xrecovery(in the version of flashtools this tutorial is based you must wait until you see the notification LED turns ) now in xrecovery you use the volume up, down, home and back buttons to navigate.
Bootloader Unlocking.
5.unplug your phone and power it off. On the top bar in flashtools plugins should now be available with the "Unlocked bootloader" option, so press it and wait until it says to connect your phone then do so by holding down your back button(on your phone) and plugging in your USB cable(don't let go until you see your notifications light come on GREEN
6. While the unlocking is taking place look out for the "you can now unplug and turn on device, then plug it again" unplug it and press the power button until vibrate and then Immediately plug it back in. Do it that one time and just leave it to finish and say "successfully applied unlock. Rebooting
7. Smile because you can now flash custom kernels and so forth and so on and also press thanks button.
If your stuck just send me a message.
Quick tip:flashing new roms usually means loosing your data(contacts, apps, etc) but you can use this to backup your data and when you're done re-download it and restore your data: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....go.backup.pro

Bootloader Unlock (instructions taken from this guide)
0. First check if your phone allows unlocking by dialing *#*#7378423#*#* , when Service Menu opens, go to Service Info, then Configuration; scroll down to read Rooting Status.
If "Bootloader unlocked" says yes, skip to the next section on Root.
If it says no (unlocked allowed), great, proceed on to next step.
If it says no (unlocked disallowed) or something like that, I'm sorry, unlocking won't work on your phone. Lodge a complaint with your mobile provider for locking it.
Getting the unlock code (skip to Step 5 if you already have it)
1. Go to Sony's official bootloader unlocking website.
2. Select Xperia M or M2 in the dropdown.
3. Follow all the steps (including *#06# to note your phone's IMEI number)
4. COPY the unlock code and paste and save it in a text file on your desktop.
Ensuring Flashtool recognises phone
5. Download Flashtool here and install it.
(To apply the 0.9.19.10 patch, install 0.9.19.8 and replace x10flasher.jar with the one from the patch. Default install folder is C:\Flashtool , don't change it)
6. Open Flashtool, connect your phone via USB. (Make sure USB Debugging is enabled in Developer Options). If Flashtool warns that ADB driver is not installed, go to the Sony website to download them. If Flashtool recognises phone, skip to Step 11.
7. Unzip the Sony drivers into a folder.
8. Boot into Advanced Startup on Windows and disable signed driver enforcement (I'm sorry, you have to Google this for your specific Windows installation)
9. When Windows has restarted, go to Device Manager, click on the ADB Interface item with the yellow questionmark, click Update Drivers, Search Manually, Have Disk, and then open the folder where the Sony driver inf is. select the ADB inf and install it. Warnings will pop up but install the drivers anyway. When done, the yellow questionmark will be replaced by something normal.
10. Verify that Flashtool recognises phone by connecting the USB cable when phone is on. You should see information about phone kernel and ROM version.
<Congratulations for making it this far>
Setting up Flashtool for use
11. With Flashtool open and phone connected, click on Devices in Flashtool menu > Check Drivers.
12. More information will pop up. Under ADB Devices, your phone's serial number will be stated (something like 10 digits and letters). Copy that serial number.
13. Go to %USERPROFILE%\.flashTool\mydevices .
14. Create a new folder in here and rename it to the serial number.
15. Open the serial number folder, create a new text file and rename it "ulcode.txt" (without the quotes).
16. Open the text file, paste your bootloader unlock code, save and close the file.
For step 16, as a precaution, copy and paste the serial number folder inside registeredDevices too. I didn't test which folder was being used by Flashtool for the unlock.
Actual unlocking of bootloader
17. With Flashtool open and phone connected, click on the BLU button. Follow all instructions. One involves VOL UP, the other involves VOL DOWN (for fastboot), please take note to do both, it's not deja vu.
18. When you have done so correctly, Flashtool will pop a small dialog with your IMEI and unlock code already pasted inside.
19. Take a deep breath and click unlock.
20. Check in main window that bootloader has indeed been unlocked.
21. Unplug the USB cable and boot your phone to check that everything should be normal.
CONGRATULATIONS, YOUR WARRANTY IS NOW VOID.
Installing TWRP recovery (with touch capability but NO external SD card mount yet as of 13 Nov 2015)
0. Make sure your bootloader is unlocked before proceeding.
1. The download link is from the M4 Aqua Marshmallow Site, scroll to the bottom. (XDA thread is here)
2. Download and save the recovery.img file anywhere you like.
3. Copy and paste recovery.img to C:\Flashtool\x10flasher_lib .
4. Install the recovery using fastboot using the instructions based on this website (thanks and credits to Shyam Karnani):
Flashtool comes with its own ADB interface so we don't need to install any new ones or the bloated Android SDK.
a) Open a command window inside the folder C:\Flashtool\x10flasher_lib (shift-rightclick and select "open command window here")
b) Connect phone to the computer using the USB cable.
c) type "adb reboot bootloader" (without quotes) in the command window and press enter (if asked to allow USB debugging in the phone screen, touch ok)
d) when the phone has entered fastboot, type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" (without quotes) and enter. Check that there are no errors produced by the flashing.
e) type "fastboot reboot" and enter.
The phone now has TWRP recovery but NO ROOT.
To boot into recovery
1. Simultaneously press the Power button and Volume down until your device vibrates.
2. Quickly release the Power button, but keep pressing Volume down.
3. When you see the TWRP screen, release Volume down. You have now successfully entered recovery mode.
(Instructions from Sony Developer website)
Rooting using SuperSU
0. Check that you have flashed a custom recovery. If not, please refer to steps right above.
1. Download SuperSU from the official website.
2. Connect your phone and transfer the zip file to the INTERNAL storage (because no recovery can mount external SD card yet as of 13 Nov 2015).
3. Power off phone and boot into TWRP recovery.
(An info dialog will popup asking if you want to keep read-only for /system. I chose NOT to keep, but need someone with knowledge to explain if read-only will block rooting procedure. It will, right?)
4. Touch the Install button and scroll to find the supersu zip.
5. Install the supersu zip. When done, clearing cache/Dalvik is optional (can be done using Titanium Backup anyway once you have root).
6. Reboot system.
Enjoy your root! :good:

Of course, that's what the title says lol. I cannot vouch for the other models.
I think the instructions can be modified, like for example different serial number for different model.
I'm having problem after clicking the BLU button, I'm doing what it said "Unplug USB cable, power off, hold vol down, connect USB cable" but will have an error USB not recognized, check flashtool screen it said usb debugging is off, make sure your not in MTP, I already turn usb debugging on. I'm stuck here.
btw I disable signed driver enforcement already and installed the ADB, but still no luck

i search in google there's no answer too for this. i really really need to root my phone because i'm running out of internal memory
Same issue with alvind27
Same issue as alvind27 has there been a fix yet.
my model is the same as yours
Works fine with my 2303
Great tutorial. Thank you so much. I forgot many things since someone has stolen my Xperia S. Root revived this phone. Android 6 + root is great future but now I am happy with that, too.
Working on my E2303. If someone has problem then he/ she has to learn more about it. Just follow steps slowly and everything is gonna be fine.
I had the same problem but also on windows 10, flashed in a windows 8 computer without any major issues.
I have a problem. Me appears seen, how can I fix?

Stuck at Bootloader Unlocking...
Hi, I have a problem here. I have the E2353 Xperia M4 Aqua and use the mac version of Flashtool
I've followed every step from checking whether or not the phone's BL can be unlocked (it is allowed) to putting all the necessary text files in the "mydevices" and "registeredDevices" folder. Problem is when I press and hold the VOL Down key and plug the USB in...nothing happens, it's just stuck there at the instructions screen while I keep holding the down volume key. I expected to see the Bootloader Unlock Wizard but it doesn't appear
Is there something I missed? What should I do?
Worked on e2363!
I managed to work on my E2363, though at the beginning I had problems and errors (when using fasboot to record TWRP.img got the error "unable to record the image").
In step 0, i got YES, but the error I mentioned persisted.
So did all the steps again (assuming in step 0 I would have gotten "no") and worked, the TWRP was recorded.

*I don’t take responsibility for any bricked devices or any issues that you may encounter. Do everything at your own risk. Read till the end before you start.
Since the Xperia Au variants don’t allow for bootloader unlock by default, the only way I found was to use qUnlocktool to change the Bootloader unlock allowed From No to Yes. I have successfully tried this on an SOG02, not been tested on SOG01 personally.
Things you will need -
1. The phone obviously
2. A windows PC
3. USB-C cable
4. qUnlocktool - https://we.tl/t-XO7zUJanov (credit to canadaunlocking.com for this link)
5. Unlocking credits – You can use canadaunlocking.com or martview.com to purchase one credit to use the tool ($21 - $35 USD depending on which website)
https://canadaunlocking.com/unlock-sony
https://www.martview.com/sony-unloc...time-24-hours-server-service--sku-imu-75.html
Both are trusted as far as I know
Here are the steps listed briefly:
1. Charge your phone to at least 50% or more, take a backup just in case. Power off the phone.
2. Open your windows PC and turn off any antivirus or windows defender. These will interfere with the program.
3. Connect the USB-C cable to the PC. In case of desktop, it’s preferred to use the ports on the motherboard directly.
4. Unzip the qUnlocktool zip file and it should contain 32 bit and 64 bit drivers. Install according to the system that you have. If you think these drivers are outdated, look for newer drivers on the Sony website for your specific device.
5. Start the tool and enter the username and password you received when you purchased the credit earlier. Click on check credit ONLY ONCE. Make sure you have 1 credit (Server credit left/used: 1/0)
6. Click SIM unlock and the tool should instruct you to connect the phone with USB-C while holding down the volume down button.
7. If you see UNLOCK DONE, you have succeeded. It may take a few minutes so be patient.
8. Disconnect your device
DO NOT delete the qUnlocktool folder or any of the files just yet. There should be a backup folder we may need later.
Once the phone boots, open the dialer and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu. Go to service info>configuration>rooting status. If bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then proceed to unlock the bootloader from the Sony website.
https://developer.sony.com/develop/...d/unlock-bootloader/how-to-unlock-bootloader/
Important note : You may lose SIM functionality once you unlock, but don’t worry, do the following -
1. Open up your PC, start qUnlocktool as admin.
2. Power off your phone
3. Connect while holding volume down.
4. In the qUnlocktool, use the write backup option
5. Boot the phone. You should have regained SIM functionality.
TWRP
1.Grab the twrp of your choice. Check XDA or the telegram groups
2. Power off the phone. Make sure USB debugging is enabled beforehand.
3. connect phone in fastboot mode
4. Open terminal or CMD in platform tools folder, make sure twrp (recovery.img) is in the same folder.
5. type “fastboot devices”. Your device should be shown
6. type “fastboot flash recovery recovery.img”
7. type “fastboot reboot”
Voila

Theoretically, same guide should work as it should change Booloader unlock allowed from no to yes.
Other ways to get Sim function? I tried the back up option but did not fix the issue.
