Hello Guys... I am new here.
I need help with identifying the problem why my proximity sensor isnt working. This gets annoying because my phone turns the screen off when making a call and you can turn it back on since it thinks something is all the time in front of it. I have searched on internet and found many same topics but could not found any solution. I have reinstalled ROM and even did all the possibilities like removed screen guard also.
Now pls help me. Now I have disabled proximity sensor and when I make call, I always lock the screen. but thats not the solution. I know here the guys are so intelligent so pls pls help me to get rid of this annoying issue. :crying:

hey guys
i bought my galaxy s ii 2 days ago, and unfortunately, turn over is not working
i was on jpkg2 offical firmware, i also upgraded to jpkg5(offical one too) , and nothing, turn over is not working even in the toturial exam...
i tried re-calibrating both horizontal and gyro sensor, but nothing...
any idea? do you think that i should return the phone to samsung?

is the setting on? I thought there were two sections one to calibrate it and one to actually turn the feature on.
it is always on,as i sayed its not working neither on calibrate mode nor when someone calls.
I hope you have made sure Motion activation is Enabled under Settings with the Turn Over feature.

When left idle, screen lights up and quickly goes black without showing any new notification. any idea why/how to stop it. Anyone have face this kind of problem b4? Mind to let me know what exactly happened.. very irritating.Thanks in advance

Is there any solution for this?
If you give more Information Such as your current ROM, Modem and APPS which you are using .. it will help to find out reason for the same.
It happened to me, I think its when the phone get disconnected from the network (not the wifi).
hey, my galaxy s2 keeps lighting up from idle as well. stock ics installed from the phone directly and using apex launcher. problem persists even in stock launcher. help
Yep having the same problem. It's very frustrating. Screen seems to wake up randomly

having the same problem, ics stock 4.04 with latest siyah kernel. tried factory reset worked for a while but then it still came back.
anyone found a solution to this??

I have searched all over XDA and other forums to find if anyone else has this similar problem with the S3 but no luck so I may be the first to have this problem.
Each time I make a call and its a busy signal, it automatically hangs up and screen locks itself. Not sure why it is automatically locking and hopefully someone knows how to fix this.

Hello, recently i have changed the touchscreen of this x10i. The new one works correctly, but when the phone is locked, the touchscreen stops working, and only works after removing the battery. What can it be? Can it be a software issue? Im using stock android 2.3.3, clean install..
Can it be a driver related issue? I guess the phone receives the signal to turn off the touch, but it doesnt receive it to turn on. I would take a log, but im a noob a it. If anyone could help me.. Cheers

Hi everyone, i'm using CM9 ROM and i'm facing a problem with proximity sensor...
When in a call, the screen don't turn off and then it gets locked...
To end the call I have to unlock the screen and tap on end button...
Does anybody have the same issue?
I love CM9 ROM, but I always have to change to stock (since this is not the first or second time I see this), this bug really piss me off
Tried many kernels but the problem persist

Well, every time I flash CM9 i get this thing...
It's weird, cos I've never seen someone with this problem =/
I'll search for a fix... No succes till now...
Maybe there is a way to calibrate, I just need to learn how!

Tried to test everything and realized that even auto brightness is working...
Don't know what is happening here...
Tried to disable auto brightness to see if was some kind of conflict... Still the same
