Currently running the Nocturnal 2.1 ROM.
On the SnowJB ROM, when you use QSlide while watching a video, it will open it in a little window and you are allowed to move that window all around the screen, resize it and use the transparency thing. However, on the Nocturnal ROM, it only allows me to change the transparency.. I can't move it or resize it. It's just stuck on the top half of the screen. Which is slightly annoying to me :/
Does anyone know how to bring over SnowJB's QSlide over to Nocturnal? I would just switch over to SnowJB, but my Wi-Fi keeps dropping out even though I'm 10 feet from my router.

the nocturnal rom is based off if the att jb update... snowjb is ported from international jb which has a way better qslide feature so nothing is wrong... just how it is...
you can try this though the system ui has the same qslide as snowjb http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2328662

Didn't work... Oh well, at least I know why QSlide acts differently on these 2 ROMs now. That was probably the most frustrating thing for me haha.
Thanks for the replies though

Anyone else having a problem with Beautiful widget where the skins for the home screen & super clock widget will be completely clear & see through, this is even without background transparency being on. Oh I'm running CyanogenMod 7 nightly, been having this problem ever since I got the phone & flashed night 4 (as soon as I got the phone I rooted & flashed so don't know if it worked on stock)

I believe that particular super clock skin does not have a background. Did you try others?
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
yeah, that particular skin has transparent background (it even shows that before downloading it). I have tried several others on mine and the only ones showing up with transparent are the ones that appear that way in the selection screen.
No i've tried with others & it was the same thing. But I just tried again, its working now. Well I haven't tried it since when i first notice the problem and I'm on nightly 14 now, so I guess it some how worked its way out.

I'm running cm7 1.6.1 on t'bolt and I'm noticing when I go into sub menus instead of switching, it overlaps. I'm also running animod but not sure if that's the cause, because it didn't always do that.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that you changed the default fonts to something of your own liking and that the font is most likely to blame...
Agreed. It definitely looks like fontface and size were changed which is causing the overlaps.
Thanks for the reply guys but what I meant was if I do menu>settings>adwlauncher>uisettings.....the menu that would come up, appears on top of "uisettings"(for example) I added a clearer pic. These are two screens showing at the same time.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
Revert to the default fonts and see if it continues to happen on this menu too.
Did you ask the same question in this ROM's thread (in the development section) ?
Yeah I tried that but it didn't work. Don't have enough post yet to post in development. It won't let me.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
I would say it's a problem with "animod" or your settings. I assume animod modifies animations or transitions which is probably what caused your problem when going from one menu to the next. It's definitely not a CM problem though. Try removing animod, restoring to a backup prior to animod changes, or wipe and flash CM...problem will probably vanish.
Ok well after a full wipe and flash. I found out animod wasnt the problem it was the epic bold and blue theme I was using from the theme chooser. Which sucks cuz it was the best blue theme. Thanks for all the help.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk
Yea, whenever you have a problem...always mention if you've themed anything. I have never used (or heard of) animod so that was the likely candidate to me since I wasn't sure exactly what all you did with it or what it does and you didn't mention themeing.
Either way, glad you figured it out.
Heh, I did a quick Google search for 'animod' and only got stuff related to anime cartoon stuff !

Hello I am not sure if this is right place to ask but here goes.
I am using DXLJ2 Novena Alliance Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2014135 and I believe that it has the Wanam Lidroid 15 Toggle Mod baked in.
Wondering if it would be possible for the 15 toggles to have links to other apps besides the flashlight?
Apps I find myself using on a semi consistent basis are screen filter, hovernote, aircalc, and calendar but it would be great to link to any app installed.

I think I know what you desire, only I haven't seen anything like that in the notification window.
However! There is something you might be interested in. In the new releases it's called pie. There's third party apps you can install now though. Check out this app called pie and this forum post called LMT. You should be able to install one of those and you can set the triggers or gestures to open various apps!
I hope that helps ya out a little.
Thanks for the reply! I have yet to try pie, I think I would have to use a different launcher, other than nova to enable pie control?
I am tempted to try it, as my current setup is nice but I running around 600MB of RAM out of 720MB

On my next set of days off, think I will do a refresh and give LMT a try.

Has anyone figured how to disable the NFC icon in the shade? It's getting crowded up there.
Thanks
Drew

Turn off NFC. ... Seriously, that's it on stock.
You can flash custom ROM and choose the International setup and it'll be gone. There's also a mod to make to hide it from view. But again requires root and deodexed ROM.

I think you knew that already tho, just want to disable the icon? I guess follow what he said ^
I know I can disable NFC. But that is not what I'm looking to do.
I want to keep NFC online while only disabling the appearance of the icon in the shade.
I'm familiar with custom roms and the fact that international versions do not have this icon, however I'm looking to maintain my stock att Os
I currently do have root and am using Xposed framework for system modifications
Thank you
Drew

Okay, then this is going to be your best bet. This is the mod I mentioned. It does not make it completely gone, it only makes it invisible.

so you don't get any space back in the status bar, the NFC symbol is just completely transparent?

Right, no space back in the bar. I hate the icon too. :/ I hope someone comes up with a better solution.
From time to time I like to utilize a good stock wallpaper for maybe the lock screen or so forth....
Am I the only one that thinks that the stock wallpapers really suck on this phone? There is only one that I like... Just a thing I guess....

It's not a real big deal. Just an observation... Wondered if it was just me... Haha. Guess it is. <walks away in awkward silence>

I actually like the dark ones - very elegant! To each his own I guess!
I have the green wavey one on my lock screen, that being said I'll probably swap it eventually because the white spots when viewed from and angle keep freaking me out that part of the display has gone bad. I'm partial to the geometric android stock wallpapers and I found and app called plastexo in the app store that has some intersting 2d vector style designs.
I changed mine within minutes of getting the device...

If think this is kinda funny. This is the first And only phone I have not changed the home screen yet. Lock screen yes. I think the stock home is just so simple yet elegant. Everything just pops off the screen.. Ive tried to make black backgrounds over the years but never liked them. This one. I like..?
