How can i lock the bootloader again? - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Sorry they are a dumb questions , i don't know.
I unlocked bootloader and installed cwn , and rooted my rom.
I have two questions:
1. Can i have root and cwn with locked bootloader? (guess not .. but not sure)
2. Can i lock again bootloader? say if I flash stock ics via lg tool or..
please don't laugh or something.. i'm new here and curious. (after i rooted my phone and tried a few roms i end up to the conclusion that it's better with bootloader locked and root only)

u can root with locked bootloader....
u cannot unlock bootloader again

I have unlocked my bootloader, bricked my device and had to flash the uboot and xboot through fastboot, my bootloader is locked up tight, oem-unlock does not unlock it I would have to go through the whole process again

You just temporally locked it back, it's still unlocked.
Sent from my LG-P769 using xda app-developers app

If it's "temporarily locked" why can I not unlock it without flashing 20b again and going through the whole process again?
Hidden menu says locked - s/w update does not indicate unlocked bootloader
And I still cannot get into fastboot without running the fastboot.Bat through windows

You don't have to install the 20B again, all you need is it's u-boot.img. If you don't have the u-boot.img, just extract it from the kdz. Open this thread in a browser, and look at my signature.

Need Help Unlocking Bootloader

We are attempting to unlock the bootloader of a device on factory stock 1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.4-4.5.1A-1_SUN-154_5-CM-release-keys-signed-Sprint-US and need some help..
The sbf in this link is dead [UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER] released!!! 8/14/11{WILL KILL 4G}
Tried this guide: how to have unlocked fastboot without flashing. File flashes ok but "unlocked" does not display on top of the screen. Also attemped "fastboot oem unlock" but get error "infooem unlock is not implemented"
Any input on how to successfully get this device's bootloader unlocked would be very much appreciated!

He's not on 2.3.5 ota. Sounds like he's on .4 or shipped .5.
Howeverrr, read motorolas latest post on unlocking the boot loader for photons....think you may find something rather interesting, I'm too lazy to go hunt down a link for you.

After step 1 in the thread we usually get an error in RSD but we disregard it as instructed, finish the steps and it's successful every time.

S-off Unroot for Rezound

I have an htc Rezound (of Course) and it's unlocked by the htc unlock bootloader used amonra and I was wondering how I could unroot it because I want to update it to ICS.
Is it still on stock gb rom?
Un rooting won't be enough, the update will fail since you flashed amon recovery.
Your best bet is to RUU to ics ota
Get the RUU from here

It actually still is on gb stock. I can't update on one of those because I used the htc bootloader unlock tool.
You just have to lock first.
Type in cmd prompt:
cd c:/folder (mines c:/android)
fastboot devices
fastboot oem lock

Yes, go ahead and use that tool, it has an option to re lock. There will be no consequences.. Once you lock and run the RUU, it will set your phone to stock everything.
So then you will need to unlock again and flash amon recovery again then flash your favorite rom if you choose.
All of these things you can do using that all in one tool that you had linked. Good luck!

Ruu will return all to stock so yes basically it wipes.. also after you lock and run the ruu, you'll have to unlock again to gain root, which unlocking your bootloader does wipe.

To be honest bud I don't use the toolkit never have.. and have never had to have anybody I helped use it.. I do everything manually it honestly just as easy once you learn it.. you seem to be having a lot of trouble due to your lack of knowledge.. go to Htcdev.com and create an acct (if you haven't already) and click on unlock bootloader.. accept agreements.. and proceed it'll give you step by step instructions on how to install android SDK. Which is needed to unlock your bootloader or use fastboot command from your computer..

Firmware and boot loader ?'s

OK so I used the bootloader to flash the 3 option in Haus's thread and every thing is working. But....
Now on the bootloader screen it says locked tampered then S-off.
I was told the locked was just wat it was saying and didn't matter.
So do I have a locked boot loader? And does that even matter for anything or was it just required to get root plus S-off?
Did I mess up getting the newest hboot from the firmware? I was told I needed it to run meanbean.

I'm not sure what u flashed but it sounds like you flashed the whole thing which means you have stock recovery now. Either fastboot flash recovery image or download thru goo manager.
Once you have a custom recovery installed your all set. Don't worry about the locked on your bootloader

You should have flashed the first file the one with no kernel, hboot, or stock recovery that would have updated everything you needed to be updated
So did I mess anything up? I was able to flash mean bean without any issues.

[Q] Help, can't get past bootloader

I had a unlocked bootloader, rooted rezound running AOKP JB rom. Now after trying to flash a differnet kernel (stupid me) I can't get past the bootloader screen. I was able to relock my bootloader but now on Hboot screen it says ***tampered*** *****relocked**** and ****security warning**** I am completely stuck. Am I SOL or is there a chance to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You won't be able to flash a rom or kernel if your s-on and locked. The only thing you can do is try and unlock bootloader or run RUU and restart from scratch
I can't unlock boot loader. Went thru the process and it said the token was too long. So I guess I'll look for the RUU and give it a go.

At what point did it say that? When you are trying to get it from the HTC site? If that's it you are just copying too much. Make sure you don't copy any extra characters at all.
If it's when you are flashing the unlock token bin file then I agree that you should just run the RUU and get back to fresh stock then try again.
Use the RUU that is the .12 version rather than the global leak, unless you have already run the global leak one, if you want to be able to take the newest OTA.
I tries to flash ruu from my pc. The command prompt said “access denied"
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
And your bootloader is locked? You talked about getting the unlock token, did you unlock it again before RUUing?
It needs to be locked to run the RUU.

Try this:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip {nameofruu}.zip
Or place it on your sd card and flash it in hboot
If it's an exe file you need to double click on that on your pc while the phone is connected.

Force fastboot question...

If i read correctly,
The thread above states that it runs commands that forces any l9 to enter fastboot,
But will it still work if I'm already rooted and with locked bootloader cwm?
Thanks in advance

Yes it will work, but don't flash a different boot or recovery img or you will get a security error. Why do you want to fastboot anyways?
